1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / First Miner - Help on: February 04, 2018, 05:28:00 PM
I am looking to build a miner for altcoins.  Can you please make some recommendations.  I am not looking to spend a ton, but I am looking to see what my options are out there.  I have looked around  and done some research, however, some of it is confusing.  Any recommendations would be great.

May I personally suggest that you get away from coinbase.  It is good to have an account with them, for you can cheaply change your BTC to Paypal, but their fees are out of the area for transaction fees to transfer it to someone else.  Also they always seem to be on a long delay for transactions, sometimes even as long as a day.  Everyone says that the other places are the same, but I use a number of different wallets and they are not all that expensive and when coinbase has taken a few hours to process a transaction, I have processed 3 or more elsewhere.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why does nobody realize that bitcoin cash is underrated? on: December 23, 2017, 04:52:54 AM
Bitcoin cash isn't underrated if anything it is overrated. Bitcoin Cash has no usage, and when I mean no usage I mean it has less of a usage then Bitcoin does (which is really saying something, as Bitcoin is really only a coin which is being traded by people with no real usage as a currency)

So no, Roger Vers shitcoin doesn't mean anything and should be eradicated from the world.
I would have to say that I completely agree that Bitcoin cash is overrated and not underrated. I talk a lot to people locally about Bitcoin to see what their opinions are and over 90% of the people I talk to have no clue what in the hell I'm talking about. They think it's some type of coin and don't understand. So if we have that many people who don't know nothing about big going to begin with, how's Bitcoin cash supposed to properly work. I'm short on the line there's going to be use for it as long as Bitcoin stays up and running, however I do not see that in the near future.

Now I only have to wait 3 hours for my Big Mac... come on seriously?
What McDonald's do you go to? Some of the stores at 3 hour late for fast food is a good deal!!! Cheesy

Someone needing to unload dirty coins will buy. Even if they're losing out 70%...
If the transactions can not be traced,  how can you tell they are dirty coins or not?

I'm not seeing this happening.  The fees are so high,  the only way I could see thus happening where they would profit,  would be to start their own mining so they can push their own transactions in.  Is that at all possible?

What is the difference between Bitcoin and Altcoins?  Undecided
Bitcoin is a pioneer in the market, and altcoins are just an analog of it, yes they also have their value but much lower. In principle, this analogue is the future in the field of crypto-currency.
Ok, so which is more important or more secure in this business?  I see the pricing go up and down on both. BTC dropped over $1,500 in the past 24 hours.  How do you determine which will be more secure in the future.

I understand the difference between Bitcoins and ALT coins, however how do Alt coins hold their value. What is the difference between the supply and demand of an altcoin whenever you can use Bitcoin for the same exact purpose. Does that not eliminate the purpose of all altcoin?
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Understanding Bitcoin Fork on: December 19, 2017, 06:13:21 AM
I am very sorry for asking this, but I would like I don't seem to find anything on the Forum specifically for this question. What exactly is a fork when it comes to bitcoin? Will other coins also Fork? Will Bitcoin continue to Fork later on down the line?
