Πάντως δε κερδίζεις κάτι με τον συγκεκριμένο τρόπο ψύξης πέρα από τη φασαρία που κάνουν οι ανεμιστήρες.. Ακόμα και overclock να κάνεις, στα περισσότερα miners το overclock είναι ασύμφορο (εκτός αν έχεις "τσάμπα" ρεύμα). Εδώ κάμποσοι κάνουν underclock (ιδιαίτερα στα παλιά asic) για καλύτερο hash/J ratio

Πως ακριβώς "γεφυρώνει το χάσμα" και τι παραπάνω προσφέρει σε σχέση με τα γνωστά exchanges;

Γενική συμβουλή μακριά. Με το cloud mining ή α) τα fees είναι τόσο ψηλά που δε συμφέρει, ή ακόμα χειρότερα β) κλείνει το site και κλαις ότι έδωσες.
Αν θες να επενδύσεις απλά αγόρασε κάποιο νόμισμα της αρεσκείας σου και περίμενε..

Οκ. Εγώ προσωπικά θα ήθελα να δω συγκεκριμένα ποια τροποποίηση έγινε σε σχέση με το SCP, δηλαδή μια παραπομπή στο paper του Mazieres που να δείχνει τι άλλαξε στην υλοποίηση του Pi και ακολούθως μια απόδειξη ότι η αλλαγή αυτή δεν χαλάει τις βασικές ιδιότητες του consensus (safety - liveness)...

Τελικά μάλλον κατάλαβα, το Stellar είναι permissioned και το pi είναι ένα permissionless version του Stellar?

Έχω διαβάσει το paper του Mazieres αλλά δε κατάλαβα από κάπου ότι τα quorums είναι centralized..

Also to clarify, our tool works best if you have several ASIC pieces running. If you just have only one ASIC, if you enter e.g. 3 pools it only mines on the first one 100% and keeps the others as backup in case the first one goes offline. You could alternate between pools in a round-robin fashion every few days but that would have a negative impact in PPLNS pools since that would be considered pool hopping.

Imagine the shipment of your new shiny ASICs has just arrived. You open their boxes, plug them in and open your web browser to their interface. You are asked to choose your mining pools to mine with. Now you would could just use that pool you have been mining with all those years (and maybe just pick a couple of backup pools) and enter its address to all of your ASICs. Maybe you could just opt for the "safety" of a reputable PPS pool which offers steady payouts with no luck involved, although you pay a 4% fee for your peace of mind. Or maybe you want to try a new pool, with lower fee and higher potential overall income.

I was looking for the mining pool pie chart for the last 24 hrs from btc.com and blockchain.info

Both sites report about 5.5 - 7.1% of "unknown" pool. Anyone know (preferably with concrete data) who is behind this "unknown" pool? Is it maybe a large mining farm that mines solo?

So why isn't it shown in btc.com?
