1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could Satoshi burn BCH if he(they) are actually against it? on: October 04, 2018, 01:56:11 PM
Why would an advocate of digital money be roasting any other cryptocurrency just because he thinks it's wrong? If anything, Satoshi would just let it flourish and let the people decide for themselves whether they'll use it or not. The system he devised is somewhat 'democratic' in nature and no central authority controls it, otherwise he would just be governing bitcoin and be issuing all the coins like any other central bank would do. Needless to say, he will not do such; he let 'forks' happen for a reason, and he'll just let them flourish and the community decides which way would they go to further.

I guess i found it just plain dishonest and dangerous that BCH guy roger owns bitcoin website and is adamant about claiming that his is the 'real' bitcoin. I think it would be great to get a response from Satoshi in some form.
Marketing is dangerous. With  product when u 'sell' it it has to be accurate in description, ingredients etc. it seems the 'sales pitch' is deceitful and being orchestrated by an intelligent but seemingly an emotionally immature spokesperson

Which is why i suggested the 'burn' option rather than selling

yeah but that's what i mean about dumping it for btc, then there's just more of a trail for them to be tracked/traced etc
If they just burn it all we can be like oh well i guess they hate those projects since the creator of BTC essentially threw it in the trash

I think they should stay anonymous if they want, but be able to weigh in in a meaningful way on the bitcoin forks developments.

I'm a bit on the fence about the whole situation but leaning less towards the forked coins legitimacy and more toward improving the current BTC with the consensus of the informed community

Question Guys!

If Satoshi thought BCH was essentially a scam, could he prove this by dumping all his BCH and other bitcoin forks from his old Bitcoin wallets into a burn address? i would say sell them but then there is more to track/trace him down with
Did satoshi ever claim that he,she or they  thought  bitcoin Cash was a scam,i do not really understand your claims in here.satoshi is nowhere to be found,i don't think we really should be discussing all this,as it's unhelpful to the forum.
not sure if this has been discussed
Yeah you're right this hasn't and wouldn't be discussed, please lock this thread..

Good luck!!!

Not sure how to reply to this properly....how does a question make claims??? what the hell? it was a question.. ***IF*** they agreed or disagreed with the existence of BCH or the other forks from BTC would be cool to know what they think by seeing the coins they burn etc.

You are looking for a fight from a question it seems...

Without saying anything wouldn't this tell us which is on the right path without revealing himself? Also would let us know hes still watching from somewhere

not sure if this has been discussed

Cheers!

5  Economy / Services / Re: In over my head, want to find funding for a project, no idea how/where to start on: December 20, 2017, 11:56:46 AM

Basics of it are:

I literally have no idea where to start and maybe crypto is the way i dont know

Building a coal mine/funding the extraction equipment cost (about $12M USD)

Investment firm I have been talking to about this project wants to own 45% of the business so the rest is going to the funding party(parties)

The buyer of 200,000 tonnes of coal per month is secured already @$15 per tonne

Secondary buyer is interested but no agreement made

Mining site has been assessed for quality and volume by multiple qualified parties

What i get out of this is literally 50c per tonne and am happy to share that with anyone that helps this work

Profitability for investor:

$15 tonne x $200,000.00 x .55 (55% ownership of mine) = $1,650,000.00 per month (13.75% ROI per month after production is ramped up in 2-3 months)

Per Annum ROI after ramp up is $19,800,000.00 (165%)

Coal prices are currently around USD $94.04 per metric ton
Coal cost to mine depending on many things average $40-$50T
How much coal is there?

How and why you selling for $15T?
Do you have a feasibility report I can review?

Your figures seem way out to me at first glance.

The figure of $15 a tonne is a worst case scenario based on the lowest coal price per tonne in recent history.

There are plenty of further details I can share once confidentiality/ non disclosure agreements are signed, I will check what and how much i can share without those

Any details I can share publicly I will, anything further i will need to discuss with relevant parties

Feasibility study has been done and the informal nature of my post is coming from the honesty that I'm not the most experienced in this space but have an opportunity to connect the right people together to make this work

Anything i can do to help or any questions please ask away

First things first, you need to craft your whitepaper - why would anybody want to invest in this project? What are the prospects and potentials? What's the market worth of this product/usage/projections? How do you intend to market it, or you have a distribution network on the ground already? How liquid is your token?
You've got a good thing going based on the fact that you're offering a real-world asset-backed token. People are beginning to shift to tokens backed by physical assets. However, you still have to craft a pretty tight WP.
Hit me up if you want to talk some more

Distribution is set up already my associate has trade routes set up for existing coal supply chain.
Their business based in Hong Kong has primarily set up trade deals in the past and raised capital for various investments.
In this instance their desire to grow their business by owning a considerable but not necessarily a majority share of the mine and consequently a greater share in the profitability of the project as compared to previous deals where their benefit was purely based on the trade profits through their distribution network

Essentially their value is the trade and distribution network with guaranteed purchasers

you should move your post to this section and when you go to do the post it will be better if you can create the thread and present in a way that conveys more confidence, for example you can say your name that will already be a beginning, now with a account newly created and without its real name becomes very suspicious.

On what country are you planning to put up that plant?

this is another very important detail that OP forgot to mention

Thanks yeah I'm new to this forum so unsure of how to even start making this happen,

Its a huge opportunity for me to do something really substantial so am open to all criticism, help, suggestions, partners etc

The Plant is to be developed in Indonesia and plans are in good stead already with local government
