481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NHZ] - NeXT Horizon | fork of nxt | distributed by bounties | launched ! on: April 06, 2014, 10:06:35 AM
I would also like to know about the numerous 100K accounts sepehr mentioned.
What was that paid for and to whom?

dude can you read?
the developer accounts are listed above. all other accounts are bounty accounts as already mentioned.
or people receiving bounties for translations, working on some code, design (biggest non-developer bounty so far), etc.
the extreme envy about amounts in the 100k range is... well.. childish.
no one gets a huge amount of coins for free
we won't release a list of known account holders. where would this lead?
seriously, calm the f* down.
there is still enough bounty for everyone to grab.

:/    I am looking into other things I can do in order to get some stake.

the best place to look for that is in our irc channel Smiley

Ok, I'm out. You guys are getting hot under the collar at people asking for accountability and transparency. It makes you look really suspect that you are complaining about this (and a little bit naive - come on this is crypto, every second coin is a scam).

How many coins the developers are getting is an obvious question that needs to be answered. I'm calm, so no need to tell me to 'calm the fuck down', but I'm now waiting for a project that reboots this concept - NXT clone with a node payment bot for redistribution - and includes transparency and accountability.

A community will not develop around NHZ without the developers telling people how much you are paying yourselves. Simple, and obvious.

If somebody makes a clone of NHZ post here and interested people will come across.
482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NHZ] - NeXT Horizon | fork of nxt | distributed by bounties | launched ! on: April 05, 2014, 11:56:27 PM
Dear Prospect, pharesim and cbkr,

Can I please have your NHZ account numbers?
Do you receive same amount of NHZ just like any other of us receiving 666 per day per server? or you are the owners of some of those big whales?

Naming accounts was very good idea but not complete.

You called some accounts bounty1, bounty2, bounty3, bounty4 and bounty5.

That's very good idea but you should let the community know who is responsible for these accounts.

But this is not the end of the story there is lots of other Millioner accounts:

http://explorer.nhzcrypto.org/?page=account&id=9473989027 Balance:   52,751,567 NHZ
http://explorer.nhzcrypto.org/?page=account&id=10213479994452367692 Balance:   4,255,069 NHZ
http://explorer.nhzcrypto.org/?page=account&id=446841167369702212 Balance:   1,445,469 NHZ
http://explorer.nhzcrypto.org/?page=account&id=9307421903608128156 Balance:   3,249,478 NHZ
http://explorer.nhzcrypto.org/?page=account&id=6756539540247114713 Balance:   1,021,940 NHZ

If you cleared these accounts and their holders, then there is a lot of hundred thousands accounts!

I'm not an auditor! I'm a programmer!

But the way you are going is not seems correct!

And you need an auditor to check if all bounties really paid by responsible persons or not?!

I'm sorry but I have not convinced yet!

9307421903608128156 developer account (One uniq person)
10213479994452367692 developer account (One uniq person
446841167369702212 developer account ( One uniq person)
9473989027 founder account (distribution account)

If there are any movements of funds from the developer accounts the funds are still theirs. The reason for the movement has to do with forgeing and let community being able to forge more.

Now. This discussion is over for my part. God speed!

With respect, that is not a good attitude to take IMO. You guys have a good idea here, but you have not specified how the developers are being compensated, and unless you spell this out and make some commitments to stick to what you say regarding NHZ distribution, someone else will come along and do EXACTLY what you are doing, and if they are more open and transparent, everyone interested in setting up nodes will do so with your competitors. It wont take long for other people to launch another NXT clone with a node distribution bot.

The questions sepehr asked have not been answered fully IMO.

If you guys pay yourselves too much I'm not interested in keeping my 10 nodes going, but if it's reasonable I will setup 10 more. What is reasonable you ask? Well, it's your project, so it's up to you guys to work that out asap and let people know, and then it's up to the rest of us to decide if that's fair.

Transparency will make or break NHZ, so the discussion is ongoing. What proportion of the total NHZ coins are going to the developers?

Hi,

my node is online  Grin

I like this project and I thought about how we can increase the popularity.

What Do you think, wouldn't it be nice to give away some coins for points in the word computing grid (fighting cancer and aids), like ripple dows with their computing for good.

So we can reach a broader range of people (especially those that have no fixed ip to run an node) to make this coin well-known. WCG can e.g. run in the Background at work...

Greetings from Germany,

Harri

NHZ: 17715634618141745485

Sure, sounds like an awesome idea. How would this giveaway be done? Who will recieve them. Who will handle the give away?

Please tell us more ! Smiley

RippleLabs open sourced their WCG give-away software. Maybe you could modify it to work with NHZ.

your launching a pharmaceutical company??? manufacturing?? doesnt it take billoins to set up a drugs company(legally)?? or is it like whole sale?

Well, I like to work with chemicals that haven't been scheduled, yet. I actually found the cure for Alzheimer's and contracted out three different companies to whip up 100kgs... Here's the kicker though, it literally is a brain derived neurotrophic factor that stimulates neurogenesis, myelination,  dendritic and axonal growth, think "nzt 48" from limitless, except it isn't a eugeroic/cholinergic/stimulant. It works, so fucking well.

It has been tried in over 5000 people, no deaths, no serious side effects.

I'm going to market it as a nootropic to the masses  Cool.

When will this drug be available? Sounds very interesting.
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 31, 2014, 02:04:35 AM
Just in case nobody already mentioned it ...

Mine crappy alts and get paid in NXT

https://nxtforum.org/general/mining-nxt-with-cpu-or-gpu-(ati-or-nvidia-cards)/

Eventually the price of all crappy alts would collapse.

Problem solved.

This seems inevitable - POW coin pools can't mine and dump POS coins - but the reverse is true.
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: March 28, 2014, 03:50:22 AM
It was a "joke". I referred to:

Does anyone else find the NEM vs Nxt thing really interesting?  It's like communism vs the free market.

NEM is like a malevolent dictatorship.  Now they are just pulling peoples' stakes if they don't like what you say.

Oh, right. NEM was just an example. To NXTv2 then.

I would prefer it if the 50M stakes were owned by CIYAM, CfB, jl777, you for that matter, and many more and not by inactive guys who don't even speak here.

The whales job is to pay for development. The more they speak the more 'spider' like NXT would become. Stay off the grid whales, and open the wallets when the committee funds run out. Whales are not the leaders.

NXT is a starfish. I think the key people are getting enough NXT (i hope so anyway)
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: March 28, 2014, 01:23:25 AM
Regarding (NXT Stake) / (Posts made here), I'm the saddest person Cry

after Elmo Grin

I might be able to beat u on that one, dude.....lets go somewhere private for a smallest stake competition.
Pretty sure I hold more NXT than Elmo, tho.

I think Elmos just been feeling a little bit lonely since everyone ran off to the new forum and left him all alone.
That's why he's been chewing the curtains a little.....a swift tickle behind his cute little floppy ears will sort him out !

On to business: like all shitty times, this current panic could be a good opportunity for NXT.

Looking at coinmarketcap.com is like looking at a slaughterhouse right now. There are a lot of panicking people out there, which means only one thing : BUY!

Don't even think about getting out, no matter how much FUD you hear.
I'm gonna buy whatever NXT I can, and I suggest u all do the same for 2 good reasons:

NXT is a long term game, not a pump and dump. 3 months from now, no-one will care about NXT's price today.

Looking at CMC, NXT is actually doing better than a lot of other cryptos: 25-35% losses seem normal at the moment, NXT is down 15%, and the trade volume is only $90,000.
If some HODL and buy action can get NXT into the green, a lot of investors will rush to NXT as a safe haven, pushing it even higher.

So: don't lose your heads, play the long game, pick up some cheap NXT.

Moved all serious discussion of NXT to:
https://nxtforum.org/index.php

DO NOT FEED THE TROLL!

Great post! NXT is not going away any time soon. We are a starfish, and have the world at our feet.

Don't panic!

yes please move over to the new forum! you to ballsac!

See, that was funny lol Having a troll who can get 'ballsac' from salsacz adds value to NXT.

We should rent him out

Go to https://nxtforum.org/index.php for everything NXT related!!

Not wise IMO. Emule is a funny guy like a clown. So many crypto coins are boring as hell (accept doge). I'm surprised someone hasn't made EmuleCoin on coingen.

The more he posts, the more he bumps this thread. Everyone who quotes Emule should post a link to the new forum as a courtesy though (like a double flush on a fat bastard no. 2)

you have harmed nxt big time, by promissing people to release a client over and over again.

What complete bollocks, NXT is a starfish. Only cockroaches and NXT can survive a nuclear war.

494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of Stake Coin List on: March 26, 2014, 09:05:26 AM
Great thread & info, thanks!

I've taken the plunge and bought some POS coins, but now I'm unsure how to guarantee I earn my 'interest' for different coins. Do all of the POS coins require keeping the wallet open 24/7?

It would be great if you could add some info on what is required to generate the POS coins for each coin on your list.

I've done some preliminary reading today and it seems with some coins you might be able to risk opening the wallet as little as once a week and still get your stake coins paid, but I've also read conflicting reports that suggest nearly all POS wallet needs to be 'unlocked' and opened all the time to generate interest. I'm not sure how to 'unlock' a wallet, but suspect it might be the same as 'encrypt' a wallet.

This information is critical for any would be stakehunters, so it would be good to add that info in this thread.

Thanks again for starting a very informative discussion!

in short, encrypted wallet needs to be unlocked before you can stake
(if you don't encrypt your wallet, coins will also stake - NOT recommended)

to unlock encrypted wallet execute the following command in debug window
walletpassphrase mypassword 999999

it is NOT required to have your wallet open and unlocked 24/7 to stake

coins age with your wallet offline
when you bring your wallet online with high coin age coins, you stand a better chance of staking than coins on the network with lower coin age

for more info refer to
http://wiki.hobonickels.info/index.php?title=Proof_of_Stake

Thanks for taking the time to explain this.

+1
Thanks

Good morning everybody,

I could not resist and snipe at the last minute for the 1st copy of leonArdo, I'm quite exited about it.   Smiley

Chang Hum, MadCow, ifxist, tifozi, my offer as an escrow for the leonArdo Team still stands!
The leonArdo guys kindly offered to pay for the Escrow fee, which is a nice move in my opinion ... so all you have to pay is the purchase price you quoted in this auction.

The escrow procedure will be following:
1. Contact me via PM to get a payment address
2. I publicly (in this thread) will announce the payment address
3. You pay and publicly (in this thread) confirm your payment
4. As soon as I received the payment of the correct amount I notify the leonArdo team to release your copy of the software (at the day of the auction ranking). They will contact you with a date/time when you are going to receive your copy.
5. After receiving your copy please let me know via PM that you got your software (additionally you can also state this publicly)
6. Finally I will release the collected funds to the leonArdo Dev-Team

optional 7. We all wait for 'FREE' exiting new features of this probably brilliant piece of software  Grin

All the best!

Let's mass migrate to nxtforum.org in 2 more pages

We've coming up on 2500 pages on this Bitcointalk thread.  What an accomplishment!!!  Woo Hoo!!!

We have a new forum that is Our Very Own at nxtforum.org .   Go ahead, enter it into your address bar of your browser, it works and it's a Simple Machine forum just like this one at Bitcointalk.  You'll feel right at home.

I've created a thread there called NXT Pub Thread - 2500 More Pages Here Or Bust

http://107.170.117.237/index.php/topic,91.0.html

I propose that 2Kool lock this thread at page 2500 and we do a mass migration over there.

It would be nice, neat, poetic closure.  And a new beginning.

Like this:

C'mon, everybody.  Think Nike.  Just do it.

Good call rickyjames - I'm out of this thread for good now!!

Hi Adam,

I would be happy to interview while I am at Coinsumm.it. Good to see you on the forum.

Sincerely,
Brian Snyder

If you'd rather, I can interview the guy who is representing you at Coinsummit, or Kris.  I don't think it was a very good interview, were you talking to people on chat between answers, or typing our your response before speaking?  I was trying to figure that out lol.

Awesome! thanks Brian Snyder Smiley

Adam: have you watched my video about Nxt decentralized internet? http://youtu.be/RtTWUwRL9mQ - still little imperfect, but with ideas Cheesy

Who are you trying to appeal to?  Maybe people on this forum but few others would stay past the first few clips.

You guys need to create your own content.  I have loved what Kris has done with the NXT Minute, I think its the perfect mix of update and invitation.  It's obvious you guys are doing stuff and making decisions, the community is active and growing and you're one of the leading players in the 2.0 game.

But you need more than soundbytes, you need speakers who breath NXT.  Don't look to existing Bitcoin people, everybody I know is crazy overwhelmed with projects right now, you need to self-organize and make this happen.

Speaking in public is not impossible or even difficult, and I'm sure many of your stakeholders do it for work all the time.  Time to pull them out, rip the masks off a few of you and put your name on the line because if you aren't willing to, nobody else is going to do it for you.

My name is Ricky Roberson and I'm ready to put my name on the line and speak out for NXT anytime.  I already have.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1oqFRROW7M

Awesome!! thanks Ricky Roberson Smiley
