It's very strange... The site is still up and with a countdown to the launch of the token...

3  Local / Servicios / Re: Ayuda: Error al enviar BTC a BCH on: January 24, 2018, 05:08:52 PM
Buenas,

¡Suerte!

Like many others have said here, the key in this kind of situations is not to panic, and if you have available capital, it's a good time to buy some more cryptos... But the most important thing is to know when is the right time to acquire some more...

They have a thread in this forum also. So what is the conclusion? Scam? Legit?

I'm wondering the same... Too many time without hearing from the admins of this project.

Thank you very much, MintDice. I'm going to try the cold storage in a paper, because as you said, is the safest method. Thanks!

Thanks a lot to both of you! As Ciscopro200 says, Coinbase owns my private keys and that's not good for what I've read so far... So I'm going to try Electrum and see how it is and later I will use a cold storage. Thanks!
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Move Coinbase balances to a private key on: January 07, 2018, 07:11:40 AM
Hello all!

I have BTC, BCH, ETH and LTC balances on Coinbase. The other day I read something about the danger of having balances in Coinbase in case of a hacking attack or in case Coinbase team want to shut down my account for any reasong they deem appropiate.

I remember that I read a post about having the balances in a wallet with a private key instead of having it on Coinbase without a private key but now I can't find that post or that info. I have all my cryptocurrencies amounts on Coinbase because it is convenient to check the balances on the app or on the web (so you know how much you have at all times) but I'm starting to worry and getting paranoid of loosing all my money at Coinbase.

That being said, my questions are:

  • Do you know how to move the balances in Coinbase to a wallet in order to have a private key?
  • Should I use a cold storage for my cryptocurrencies or can I leave them in the online wallet?
  • What wallet do you recommend to keep the cryptocurrencies?

Thank you for your patience and interest on helping me!

12  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchanges recommended on: January 04, 2018, 07:05:19 PM
Thanks for your answer Jhinin. Seems like GDAX has good reviews, but as you said, it doesn't have XRP... I'll take a look at Kucoin. Thanks!
13  Economy / Exchanges / Exchanges recommended on: January 02, 2018, 06:13:56 PM
Hello everybody!

I've been trying to open an account with several Exchanges that have Ripple (XRP) and haven't had any lucky so far and the whole process is being quite disappointing...

I've tried:

  • Binance (currently down)
  • Kraken (Verification feature disabled)
  • Bittrex (not accepting new accounts)
  • Bitstamp (pending verification since 6 days ago)
  • Gatehub (SMS verification is not working)

Is there any trustworthy exchange that works 100% perfect? Any recommendations of a good exchange?

Thanks in advance!

Nada, no ha habido suerte. Sigo pendiente de revisión. En Cryptopia tengo cuenta pero de todas las criptomonedas que tienen, no tienen Ripple... Gracias de todas formas Smiley
15  Local / Servicios / Comprar Ripple con otras criptomonedas on: December 31, 2017, 07:30:06 AM
Saludos!

Gracias!!!!

I was taking a look through Rentberry token sale terms and whitepaper. Big red flags (at least to me) appeared  Shocked. Asking for wallet private key which I would never give out and would avoid anyone who would ask. I'll be giving this a pass.

Straight out of their token sale terms:

"Contributions to be made in ETH must be sent from an Ethereum wallet in
respect of which you can identify your private key. Your private key shall be
required to verify your ETH contribution to Rentberry and to enable Rentberry to
issue BERRY Tokens to you
through the Smart Contract System."

-Similar in regards to bitcoin contributions.

"Risk of Losing Access to BERRY Tokens Due to Loss of Private Key(s).
BERRY Tokens purchased by you may be held in a digital wallet or vault, which requires a private
key or a combination of private keys for access. Accordingly, loss of requisite private key(s)
associated with your digital wallet or vault storing BERRY Tokens will result in loss of such BERRY
Tokens, as well as access to your BERRY Token balance. Moreover, any third party that gains
access to such private key(s), including by gaining access to login credentials of a hosted wallet or
vault service you use, may be able to misappropriate your BERRY Tokens. Rentberry is not
responsible for any such losses
."

I would advise anyone to use Extreme Caution as we all should know to never trust anyone with our private keys.

You have been warn, but if you really want to participate even after reading this: the least you should do is set up and use a new secondary wallet. Then, deposit into the secondary wallet only the amount that you wish to contribute. Added protection to anyone participating, transfer tokens right away if distributed. Be safe and good luck.

Is there any administrator of this ICO that wants to say something regarding this issue? I think he's got a point...

20  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you agree in death penalty? on: December 27, 2017, 04:49:16 AM
I disagree, but not for the reasons that most of people say, but for this reason: Really badass criminals know that if they get caught, they are going to the death row knowing that will die in a short period of time. But instead of that, if they know that will spend the rest of their life in jail (that means a lot of years, until dying of natural causes), they will think twice before committing a crime. So I believe that a life sentence is better than the death penalty.
