2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BIP-110 Split (continued) on: Today at 12:15:13 PM
the forums held funds are around 1100 Bitcoin, right? Imagine if they went and dumped their BIP110 shitcoin...
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BIP-110 Split (continued) on: Today at 05:51:05 AM

My god, it's worse than what I was thinking of!
So if we take out replayed tx from the equation, that chain is just a bunch of JPGs?

pretty much - but hey LapiuPepe says they will fix it!

forums should not have cost that much to begin with. I stopped counting when it got over 500k

If I had paid someone 500k to do a job and it was not completed, I would be getting a refund.

just my two sats.

hiring more staff - if needed - could be beneficial

and donating to charities would be great.

and why do vod and og have to make nearly every thread about them?

My comments were relevant to the thread and not making this about me. Everyone else is always trying to make everything about me. I couldn’t give less of a shit what the people here think of me, I promise. Don’t let me stop YOU from trying to make the thread about ME though, carry on…

not all of them.

You can write anything you want, as long as it's true.

I feel sorry for you.

for the sake of the forums, I wish you two would just put each other on ignore.

did OP really make a thread about something Owlcatz said in 2021?

and why do vod and og have to make nearly every thread about them?
I dunno. And it appears he's still bringing up more things Owlcatz said. I feel he's low-key obsessed with the guy. This thread should be locked.

100% agreed

Some people would really want to enjoy browsing the forum using their mobile phones, something that is currently not possible/smooth since the forum is not fully optimized for that.

What phones are people using? I have an iPhone and forums have always displayed/worked without issues on my phone
The forum software is not an application for mobile devices so there is no optimization for smart phones but I have used the forum without issues on my phones in years. If there is anything uncomfortable, it's typing my posts but typing on phones and mobile devices without extra connected key boards is always inconvenient, and it's true not only with this forum.

Community members built some scripts but I don't actually have need to use these scripts.
Bitcointalk Mobile Friendly Script + Dark Mode [NO UI CHANGE]
Bitcointalk Mobile Friendly App for Android

I have no issues with using my phones keyboard in typing responses/making posts - I would find it more cumbersome to use an external kb with the my phone. Except for making sales/auction threads I prefer the forums on my phone vs the pc.

Getting back on topic, why should anyone care about the forum financials?
It is a privately owned enterprise beholden to no investors much less its users to be concerned about them. It has more than enough coin to run for many many years.

agreed sorry for going off topic.

Awesome! I was lucky to secure one too, I’ll have to think about a custom case like that. Well done sir!

as a note - you are supposed to remove that brown paper on the plexi lol at least that looks like the paper put on the plexi to protect it but should be removed once in use.

That is correct, I only removed the front so I can take a pic before burying it with me doubloons....This way it does not get scracthed.

Sone day when I have a room dedicated to me collectables and are ready for display, the protective brown tape will come off  Wink

good idea! would you like some more of the film to re-cover the front? have rolls of it. I use it to cover acrylic before I put it under the laser.

And they are talking about holding miner rewards even longer:

Have to love that.

"community poll"

last I saw their community was approx 100-125 and some of those are people with multiple accounts - so a very small minority and yet they still amazingly claim they are "Bitcoin"

the kool-aid Luke is giving out must be laced with some serious shit for these people to either be ignorant enough to believe him or to be eager as he is to perpetuate the fraud.
19  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WARNING] Grading Redeemed Coins on: October 09, 2026, 03:38:52 AM
Coins are always submitted in plastic flips... they hold the coin pretty snug/securely inside
Zero idea/reason why the coin and hologram would have been removed before they got to the grader.

My guess is a new employee who thought it was trash and just threw it away. This is the sort of thing that screams diversity and inclusion in the workplace to me. I know, I know. Terrible person. I doubt this happens if the employee has ever graded a coin with a hologram before.

I have the opposite opinion. I think the person who submitted it for grading believed it contained the 25 BTC, so they completely removed the hologram in an attempt to access those bitcoins. Unfortunately, it’s absolutely crazy that something like this could happen.

minerjones is the one who submitted it - and he bought it peeled. believe that was covered in the OP
