Am I the only one that thinks this isn't about just the IRS tracking criminals or tax evaders? I'm pretty sure this is a direct assault on controlling cryptocurrency.

My biggest mistake is getting shiny object syndrome and over diversifying too soon.

I recommend to just buy bitcoin for a while and research and study. Then later on looking into something else and invest slowly there but do not jump all over the place and do not over diversify.

For example you may want to move into mining, or learn about ICOs, or masternodes and staking. However, don't do it all at once. Buy bitcoin then invest in another area once you have some research under your belt. There is tremendous advertising and marketing in this space even on this forum. So don't chase everything that looks like it has potential. You can literally go broke chasing potential.

YES! However your point about the price stabilizing to be a currency is largely true however, ALL currencies do have some fluctuation in price to each other. I have done international business and I can tell you the fluctuations are extremely apparent when you do international transactions between two stable countries' currency.

Also your ponzi argument is flawed by the way. Who sets the price to the USD or the EURO and who sets the price to gold? By your definition all of those are ponzi's especially gold. Think about it do people buy gold waiting for the price to go up. Who causes the price to go up? Other buyer's right?

This can be said about the stock market too. Who says a certain stock is worth XXXX amount of dollars per share. How does that price get set? What do you get for that price? I'll tell you. You get proxy ownership of a company but if they don't pay a dividend all you have left is proxy ownership that will never give you anything unless you sell it to someone else who was willing to pay more than you paid.

Crazy world if you think about it.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: December 21, 2017, 04:17:52 AM
I currently plan to hold most of my bitcoin. Eventually I will convert to fiat or hopefully I'll just use the bitcoin as currency if we get to that point. Overall I'm so extremely bullish on the future of bitcoin. I can see it rising to 100K even up to 1 million per coin. However, that may take many years. I invest in the crypto space with anything that can produce a crypto return think of cloud mining when it's profitable like right now. But my whole goal is to just own more crypto and sit on it for the future.
