I recall seeing Willy Woo saying that the BTC-stock correlation has been deteriorating over the last few months. I'd love to see an updated graph, visualizing the correlation.
I'd like to see that, but since about 19k whenever the market dropped Bitcoin would drop. Then resume it's power rush.

Right now it's at a nice solid happy 40k, and I really can't complain about that much.

0MG, I can't believe Trump just tweeted that!  Shocked

My turn....

We are on wards and upwards for at least 13 days .  Most likely if Biden gets swore in without an issue many will sell off the btc they purchased just in case.

Don't sell a lot as I still think we go back up again.

Personally, I don't think so. Bitcoin has been tracking the stock market lately which annoys the hell out of me from a spiritual sense but there you go. Right now everyone is thinking the economy will bounce back hard from this COVID shutdown and to be honest they are probably right. When the COVID dollars get spent that might cause a run out of bitcoin into car manufacturers and the like or it might go INTO bitcoin as inflation may take hold.

Time will tell, but if the economy gets better people are going to continue to chuck money into bitcoin. We shall see.

edit: Awww shit!  Sorry for the politics.

Warned ya :-)

That is weird: Bitcoin is a lot more stable than Gold in terms of knowing exactly what is up: You can't fake it and there is no mine of gold out there, only 6.25 coins every 10 minutes.
666  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 08, 2021, 04:56:09 PM
No more politics. You post politics, I post yaoi.

Your moves.

I'll start posting Frahm.....

Everyone has their kink.

$41,500. Yep, yet another ATH....

That whole "1Btc for one Lambo" thing isn't looking as funny as it once was....

I love watching this old thread. Post a pic of the non-working miner, I think if it has two PCI power plugs it's gotta use the old 4.20 software.

The 2 Lowest Price Lambo Aventador sold this week (No longer Listed).

Price: Approx. 10BTC

There was 5 at the start of the week, now down to 3. (used, not new)

Ref: Carsales Australia.

Someone has been cashing out!

Been eying a 2014 LP720-4 50th Anniversario... Lets hope it is still available when we hit 100K

Hey, I have an open offer: 1 bitcoin for one Lambo. Granted it's probably a pretty crappy deal but there you go.

These Bitcoin swings go almost as fast as COVID-induced fever/diarrhea cycles.

I speak from experience (12 toilet paper rolls down... in 3 days).
Glad to see you alive today. Do not use your paper wallet as TP.

Hey did you get a bidet by chance? God they are just. so. nice.
671  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 07, 2021, 07:37:33 PM
Bitcoin down 4%.  It's official.  Its dead.  Good game guys
Poor Bob, he's going to have to sell his boyfriend back into bondage to pay for food and medicine...

Oh well, it was a good run of freedom for the poor guy....

(Oh wait, 38.8 39k 39,200. Never mind)
672  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 07, 2021, 07:30:36 PM
Neat. Hit 40k, yawned. Dropped to 37k or so, yawned.

I think I'm becoming a Buddhist. These numbers are equal to me as both are one bitcoin.
673  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 07, 2021, 05:00:01 PM
Looks like I'm gonna have to move another batch of coins to sell pretty soon.

Promised Rick I'd take another ~mil off the table @ $50k USD/BTC, on principle.

I've got problems.
No shit, this is like winning the lottery every day. Is this hell by chance?
674  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 07, 2021, 02:38:53 PM
Side thought: This little musical bitcoin site is amazingly relaxing. (aggr.trade).

I like it.
675  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 07, 2021, 02:37:50 PM
how do I delectably tell my boss that I cannot do my work due to the bright "ALL TIME HIGH" message that keeps posting every few minutes on my monitor ??

No kidding. As I mentioned earlier, this is really screwing up my work ethic.
676  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 07, 2021, 04:28:19 AM
censorship will not be tolerated

The thread had just gotten back on track. We're hitting new ATHs hourly. Lets talk about the 100K party, butts, boobs, rockets, etc. and leave the divisive political stuff out as much as possible. Especially with everyone emotional and fired up.

Good point and seriously: Where *should* we meet at 100k. I think it would be really fun to meet people. I think it would be even more fun if we all got name tags *at random* so no one knew who was who and we had to figure it out. Or better: Not.

(Aw crap, I got "roach!")
677  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 07, 2021, 01:39:36 AM
Ok Gentlemen. Let us shit-post real hard today, and try to get us breaking through $36,000 USD/BTC.

Great job today, Gentlemen. Duty above and beyond. Presently observing $37,098 USB/BTC, before retiring for the evening.

Got to tell you, this was the day for shit posts. Wonder what tomorrow will bring?

Meantime I think it's time to leave today behind.

Maybe 1814?  The British burned the White House in 1814.

Yes! Fixed.

It wasn't the British. It was the Canadians. Revenge for Quebec I think, but regardless don't fuck with Canada or they will come down and burn it all again....

This should serve as a good warning..

... of who's in charge of security.
Tricky: If these guys had no weapons then shooting them would be wrong. Likewise property is not as important as human life, so you don't shoot protesters simply for damaging property.

These guys damaged property. BLM people damaged property. In neither case would it be acceptable to use lethal or overbearing force on the protest.

Stocks still going up in this uncertain climate - totally unusual for the US - is just another sign of total lack of alignment between the finance of numbers and the state of the world.

No, it just points out how much better the world thinks things will be when there is not a complete idiot in charge.
