It may never reach a court room.  It's more likely to be negotiated and never go to court.

Or if it did, one party won't show up and lose by default.

If it did and actm didn't contest the case (less fees to pay) you are looking at a court order to return the money and make a small compensation payout of a couple of grand per complainant. Unless Wood get a good handful of complainants they won't see this as worthwhile persuing for a single 3k online order. They will likely need atleast 35k worth of losses to sue for with a 15k compensation payout and with them taking 30% they will make about $15k. Almost worth their while after fees.

With this nonsense sentence I wouldn't be surprised if it was [censored] who contacted this firm and told them the lies.

A quote from Wood law firm:
'Shareholders have alleged the company misused investor proceeds, and failed to return money to investors as promised.'

That sounds like something he comes out with.
I'm going onto their site now to fill in the form and tell them they were lied to. Will take about 5mins:

No!

A quote from Wood law firm:

'Shareholders have alleged the company misused investor proceeds, and failed to return money to investors as promised.'

Does anyone recognize this accusation?! It's total BS! No-one on here has complained about a 'misuse' of funds and no funds are supposed to be 'returned'.

So whoever has contacted these 'no win no fee' cowboys has told them lies. As soon as they get a letter from actm's lawyer and realize that not only is there no case but that they have been lied to they will drop this like a hot stone. You don't need to pay anything to these outfits for them to get interested in a case. They will dangle out this advert looking for more info but at the end of they day they will go nowhere with this unless there is a high chance of a successful claim for non-supply of goods.

Refunds have been given to cancelled orders, miners have been shipped and continue to be. There has been a delay but delays don't make for a successful legal case.

If this makes Ken speed up his questionable shipping and refund process it will be a good thing. Well done whoever filled in the online form on this website but don't hold your breath for any money from this case!

Wait is the only thing i can do .

Keep us updated, this wait is getting silly now. How is the one board you have already doing?
84  Economy / Securities / Re: [Mpex.co] The Scientology of Bitcoin Finance? on: April 29, 2014, 02:00:42 PM
Just WOW.

People are actually buying into this?!!!

Like you say, this has manipulation written all over it. That is the only way to make it work - there is no chance a freely operating system like this would make it past a few weeks before going bankrupt. So it will be a scam, plain and simple. There will only be ONE winner with this dirty little scheme.

It is pure fantasy to debate or provide advice

To debate and offer someone advice can't by the nature of the meaning of the word be 'fantasy'.

However if you mean it's fantastical to think Ken might listen to his shareholders views, well that might be your opinion but it been proven wrong by past events when Ken has listened.

I don't see a problem with speaking up about how we want the company to be run and/or pre-empting whatever decision is going to be made about these new proceeds from online sales.

We could sit here bitching all day about the company as some seem to love to do or we can ask the CEO specific questions about company strategy. I know which has the higher chance of actually achieving anything.

Lots of the potential clients want nothing more than to have a nice quick rub and tug and be gone. But many people crave to have conversation

Yes I agree with you there. You can see the same old from from untold numbers of couples on cams but the sort of performance aspect you are talking about where there is a rapport built up seems to be somewhat lacking. There could be a gap in the market. But you will need to find some great natural girls to make this work. Never been to central Canada so not sure what local talent base you have available there. This will certainly be one of the more interesting bitcoin startups to keep tabs on.  Shocked

Hi Ken,

So we have these One Gold Rush boards on the site now and the listing says they are 512GH/s but the details section ('Board Highlights') says they are 750TH/s. You also said they were typically 750 so must be a typo in the listing?

It also says under availability - 'more coming soon'. So does that mean we have sold a bunch of these? If so can you say how many roughly and where the profit from these boards will go? Are you doing a 100% reinvest into the company or are you setting some aside for the shareholders?

btw I think the majority on here have said they are happy with the idea of a 100% reinvest for now as we get the business going.

Thanks man.

The IPO goes live in 9 minutes!

Any trusted escrow willing to take a copy of my ID card as mike said above?

1) You should have held off with the IPO until you had this safety measure in place. It's all very well saying you are happy to do it but you are a complete unknown entity with a sketchy proposition and zero verifiable background until you actually prove who you are.

2) So you are raising 25BTC? It doesn't sound like anywhere near enough to get a website off the ground and do the required advertising to pull in paying visitors. It would get you going with a few cam girls but unless you become exceptionally popular you won't make enough in day to day tips to repay investors or to fund your own  website and promote it.

3) I checked out chaterbate (purely in the course of research for this proposition) and the site and the home cam industry in general seems to be saturated. There is clearly no shortage of couples happy to suck and fuck on cam for small change. So until you get your own website I can't see you making a sufficient return for investors with this idea of paying an actress/yourself 75% then taking just 25% of the remaining tips for the business and investors. It seems most of the girls/couples scrape-by on taking 100% of the tips so how will the business grow with just 10% of the tips?

You are raising around 12kUSD and paying back at 15% so you need to raise around 100kUSD on the site in tips to pay back investors. I can't see many of the couples making 100k doing cams. They might make 5-10k I would imagine before the same user base gets tired of them and they move on to the next couple.

So if you can demonstrate that you can do some amazing shows and prove you can pull in some decent tips on a daily/weekly basis your proposition might be worth investing in - but you haven't done that. You need to be pull 100k off the site over lets say 3months to generate just 10k for the business to cover - rental, electric, equipment AND the production and promotion of a popular website. Good luck but I don't see it being a viable business.

btw - do shareholders get a free pass to the shows? Just askin.

ActM is now down to #8

Sorry but LOL.

The placing on Eligius does not really matter does it? It's just something to get a bit excited about when we go up a place. % of total network hash is the important bit.

Also there is less than a single TH/s between 6th 7th and 8th place on Eligius:

6th - 67.87 TH/s
7th - 67.71 TH/s
8th - 67.02 TH/s (actm)

So don't worry, we will go up and down through the ranks during this period of expansion (and tripping breakers).

Dont mean to melodramatic, but breaking 200A on overcurrent is pretty stressful on the breaker,

You must be thinking of older tech? Modern breakers suffer no stress from operating at all (well I've never heard otherwise). And if they have operated correctly then the circuit has also suffered no stress - that's the whole point about them.
91  Economy / Securities / Re: [Active Mining] The UNofficial Active Mining Discussion Thread [UNmoderated] on: April 27, 2014, 02:58:53 PM
Pathetic come back Mirceau. Worthy of a 14 year old. You are a very immature little boy, just like your best buddy DTS.
92  Economy / Securities / Re: [Active Mining] The UNofficial Active Mining Discussion Thread [UNmoderated] on: April 27, 2014, 02:21:36 PM
lol

Yeah on CryptoTrade, no-one is selling anywhere near the 0.0005 price they loaded up on. 0.0085 is the average price now.
And it's pretty much 0.001 on CS.
Very low volume on both = no-one is selling cheap.

DTS is just a sad little immature wanker who clings on to the shirt tails of any passing Troll because he actually has no friends - internet friends (no matter how degraded or dirty they are) make him feel better.

He runs around calling people 'stupid little bitches' LOL and posts about 40 times a day with half of those posts for the company and half against!
He is a weird weird mix.

Have fun rubbing each other off in here Troll boys, you are great company for each other. I see this thread as like the 'calm' wing of a psychiatric hospital - where the nurse occasionally forgets to hand out the meds in time.

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Too bad Romania wont deal with him, like how they took care of Nicolae Ceaușescu.

hmmmmmmmm. Mircea Popescu,  Nicolae Ceaușescu. Similar sounding at least.

If you like that you will LOVE this - a combination of the two!

Nicolae Popescu is wanted for his alleged participation in a sophisticated Internet Fraud scheme

http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/cei/nicolae-popescu/view

Do they only have 5 names in Romania?!?
This is how the FBI deal with Eastern European scum who rip of Americans - put them on the wanted list.
94  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: April 27, 2014, 12:46:32 PM
Considering a breaker is there to protect the integrity of the circuit.............Get an electrician to check those cables and circuit connections, NOW.

That's a bit melodramatic! The breaker did it's job, so the circuit and it's breaker are sound. The load on the circuit is being raised as new machines are switched on so at some point the breaker will likely trip during a power spike. They just need to throttle back on that circuit now and start on a new one.
95  Other / Archival / Re: [XCP] IPO announcement. DunneCapital LTD - UK bitcoin exchange and a casino on: April 26, 2014, 11:56:04 PM
I've changed my mind about this outfit. In the UK the financial industry is highly regulated and the level of compliance required means this exchange and Casino will be either run professionally or not atall.

In other words your money will be far far safer I believe with this investment and on their exchange than in a back-street shadowy Romanian-run exchange like MPEx.

These guys will need to produce open accounts and their books will be examined. That sort of thing just doesn't happen in the Third World state that is Romania.

Give these guys a chance, they are young but so was Richard Branson when he started in business.

The guy is open to a meet, says it all, he's hiding nothing.

When I'm sarcastic

Well don't be a wanker then. This is a serious business for investors so don't go taking the piss out of them. Looks like you are banned as a Troll - well you act like one and come on here to chat with them so ergo you are one.

97  Economy / Securities / Re: [Active Mining] The UNofficial Active Mining Discussion Thread [UNmoderated] on: April 26, 2014, 11:17:10 PM

@ Ken Have you tried asking for an exemption. My next question is, do you even need one if you have not been issued a cease and desist order.
