881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Okay, Litecoin price needs to crash again now...... on: January 19, 2020, 02:01:06 AM
FUCK!!!  FUCK!!!! FUCK FUCK FUCKITY FUUUUUUUCCCCKKKKKK!!!!!!!!

I've been watching the price of LTC slowly dribble downwards, and it got down to $37.  I was planning to buy more LTC below $30.

Then something happened, and prices are bouncing all over the place!  LTC went to 40, 45, 50, 55, and now 60!!!

WAITAMINUTE!!!! I didn't buy more LTC yet!!!  Go back down below $30 to maximize my profits!!!

DAMMITT!!!!!!!
Just wait a few more days and you can see that LTC price will go down again as Chinese new year is coming and I am pretty sure that many holders will dump their LTC holdings to celebrate the occasion.

Currently Litecoin rank #7 with 60.67 USD price with -1.48% in change so the chance that it will still go down is pretty high. But what I can suggest is to buy whatever the price of LTC during or one day after Chinese new year as there is a big chance that it will be your last chance to buy LTC in low price.
882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCNEX - "SCAM" Withdrawals are no longer available. on: January 18, 2020, 04:11:31 PM
Withdrawals are now available for 4 currencies recently if I am not mistaken and I have already withdrawn without any problem.

So for those who like to withdraw their money in the exchange, you should do it now as the withdrawal have been enabled already for btc, eth, bcnex and usdt base on their announcement but I only tried eth so far and I didn't experience any problem as I have received my funds in an almost instant.
883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Crime is getting Worse, what do we do? on: January 18, 2020, 01:23:40 PM
https://news.yahoo.com/cryptocurrency-thefts-fraud-hit-1-211446327.html

In Q1 alone of 2019 there was $356m in theft of digital currencies from exchanges and scams while losses from fraud hit 851m. This number includes the QuadrigaX scam which accounts to about $134m in total losses.

What can we do to help stop these from happening and getting worse?
Currently there is no crypto police that will catch those hackers and scammers so there is a very little chance that we can ask for some justice right now to those victims.

Hackers and scammers are evolving every now and then so for those exchanges and investors they should do their best to strengthen their security everyday if possible so those hackers will have a very less chance to bypass their security. That is the best thing that they can do right now as we cannot depend to any police as of the moment.
884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is WPP Project finally scam? 60 Million USD for nothing? on: January 18, 2020, 11:07:50 AM
WPP was a very good project in 2018, their ICO ran for a long time and it reached nearly the hard cap 60 Million USD! The ICO price was 0.01 USD, but look at now, it's 0.00015 USD with  648 USD volume! Seriously? They did nothing promising till today! Partnered with some unknown project, making some good picture of their product with huge value! Where they said WPP token will be worth more than 1 USD! But when you ask these things in their official Telegram group, you will surely get banned, that Troy guy will do it if you ever ask about updates!

Another great project turned into shit again! So, What do you think guys about this shit project?
This is the problem to most of the projects who have no strong team that will continue the development and marketing of their project even after reaching their softcap or hardcap.

Their price will surely shrink if the marketing team of the project will stop promoting it especially in bear market that even strong projects have difficulty in maintaining their reasonable price. What I see right now is that WPP team is not there anymore, they already have the money then they can just start another project if they want to.
885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BCH, BSV more profitable than Ethereum? on: January 18, 2020, 03:43:05 AM
I don't know what happened with the Ethereum, why this coin's price is not growing that much? Without Bitcoin pumping, Ethereum can't grow a bit. Where BCH or even BSV price keeps pumping like the bull run! Now, 1 BSV coin's price is more than double of 1 Ethereum. I am a holder of Etherem, but day by day I am being frustrated by holding it, it's price is far lower than 200 USD! Unbelievable. What do you think guys? Should I convert my ETH into BSV or BCH for more profit?
And because the pump of BSV has been stop already, now they are facing a continues drop while the top 4 are going upward the BSV is going downward. This is what will happen if the greediness of the project will reach a new level just to overtake the other coins. If they didn't hype BSV, I am sure it will continue to goes upward swing also together with the top 4 (BTC,Ethereum,XRP and BCH).

Here is the current situation (Jan 18) because of their failure hype : BTC = +1.92%, ETH = +3.98%,XRP = +3.25%, BCH = +15.48% and BSV = -10.25% . It is very clear on what to invest that you will surely profit.
886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you prefer to hold for more than a year? on: January 18, 2020, 02:34:26 AM
I personally prefer to hold bitcoin and ethereum. They are good coin and more potential to hold for long term.
What I prefer to hold for a long term are only three : bitcoin, ethereum and xrp.
I prefer to hold bitcoin especially if I have huge amount of money for investment but if I have not that much money for investment I will put it in ethereum and XRP.

As they are very affordable right now and they will surely reach a new ATH every peak of the market and if I can hold them for more than a year then I will surely profit in the long run.
887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just a quick warning on: January 17, 2020, 04:43:11 PM
No matter how promising a project might look, especially if they are new projects just look them as if they have nothing to offer and invest only what you can afford to lose. Do not keep your eggs in one basket, do you fall in love with a single coin, no matter how good they are always keep digging, many more good gems won't hurt than relying on a single gem 💍. Be smart
Putting your investment in more than one basket is a good strategy in order to avoid losing your all investment in one go especially if you failed that certain investment. Unlike if you have more than one investment as you can still recover your lost using your other investment.

Be smart so you will not easily lost your hard earned money. And don't fall easily especially if they are still new project as most of the new projects right now are shit coins.
888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin still bigger in 2019 from all other Commodities on: January 17, 2020, 12:28:37 PM
As we close out 2019, Bitcoin has come out on top compared to all other commodities once again. It brought the highest returns this year by far.

Bitcoin’s returns in 2019 trumps all other commodities. The leading cryptocurrency brought in returns almost double that of the second-best performing commodity this year.

  • Bitcoin: +100%
  • Palladium: +57%
  • Gasoline: +34%
  • Coffee: +30%
  • Lumber: +27%
  • Platinum: +19%
  • Gold: +18%
  • Silver: +15%
  • Sugar: +13%
  • Wheat: +11%

Full Source here

Despite of all the ups and downs we had this year so far, it really looks good so far in terms of economic growth.

Probabily it will grow even more after upcoming halving and more new investors and countries will most likely start their way into such investment option.

This just show us who's the boss when comparing Gold with Bitcoin considering Gold being only +18%
It is a positive output that we are going in a right road as bitcoin continues to dominate the other commodities and as time passes by bitcoin became more and more popular.

This year there is a big chance that bitcoin will reach a new ATH especially if after the halving the demand of bitcoin will continue to grow and it's dominance over other currencies will also goes up.
889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Altcoin Price Be Good In 2020 ؟ Is it true? on: January 17, 2020, 10:35:39 AM
If you see, the price of Altcoin went up very high in early 2018 and then the price of Altcoin fluctuated in 2019.
Now in 2020, people are expecting the price of Altcoin to go up. If the price of Altcoin goes too high then it will be very difficult to buy.
Some people say that cryptocurrency is a digital currency, we cannot calculate its value because we cannot accurately estimate the value of cryptocurrency / Altcoin. We can say that when people give bad news about cryptocurrency, people get upset that they sell their currency.
That is how the market works, either it will go up or goes down and the fud are always there in order to confuse the investors as the big whales are pulling almost all of the happenings so they can gain a huge amount if profit.

The demand will always dictate the price movement of any coins/altcoins so we cannot  assure yet the future of altcoins this year 2020. Let's just hope that altcoin price will be good in this year.
890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No one ever sells, nor buys anything in BitCoin.. Think this is wrong, read on! on: January 17, 2020, 08:37:03 AM
No one ever buys nor sells anything in Bitcoin:

Stores that claim to " accept " bitcoin are just providing a quick and easy way for you to convert your Bitcoin into US DOLLARS, which is what the store operates on.  All pricing is done in US DOLLARS, the store purchases their stock, pays their bills, and makes deposits into the bank and operates in US Dollars.  Having to convert Bitcoin into US Dollars at every transaction is MORE COSTLY, More Complex, More Time Consuming than just using US Dollars.  Using Bitcoin to pay in a store is NOT the better more efficient payment system that BitCoin initially promised, some stores are just willing to do the extra work, and go to the extra expense to get your business.    SERIOUSLY, could you imagine trying to run a store, and price something in Bitcoin Huh   If you are still to dumb to get it read a few examples below:

If I were looking at car's, a they were advertising selling a Toyota Camry for 3 Bitcoins, one day it would be a total bargain, the next day a fair buy, and the next day it might be massively overpriced.

Would you rent an apartment that really operated on Bitcoin, priced  your lease in Bitcoin of 1/2 bitcoin per month Huh  That would have been great at the beginning of the year, and you would be evicted and homeless now as the price more than doubled.

How about get your salary paid by BitCoin, lets say in January 2018 you took a salary of 1/10 bitcoin per month.  You would be working for almost nothing a year later.

WISE UP PEOPLE,  realize the difference between using bitcoin as a currency, and converting it t US Dollars to use as a currency  🙈🙈🙈🙈

It is not wise to use the bitcoin as price of something as the price is very vulnerable and it can change pretty high or low anytime. So others are offering their products price via USD or any currency that are stable and they accept payment via bitcoin equivalent to the price in USD.

As there are very few stores right now that can afford to gamble in bitcoin vulnerability especially that bitcoin price can be easily manipulated by big investors.
891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I feared new altcoins might be left out on: January 17, 2020, 07:31:37 AM
I feared new altcoins will be left out so i start selling some coins for bitcoin because it can be a big blow if altcoin fails to surge like in 2017 after bitcoin reach a new ATH, what do you think? And what would you have done in my position
Your strategy is not that bad but I suggest that you at least put your investment into more than 1 coins/altcoins. But forget about the new alts and make sure to invest in at least top 5 currencies.

They are more safer compared to new alts and they also reach a new ATH the same with bitcoin last 2017 like ethereum.
892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people easily get scammed on the internet? on: January 16, 2020, 05:00:27 PM
What is Scam?
Scam is a dishonest scheme that is carried out by an individual or groups of persons in mode of taking away something that is valuable to others. Those who perform these acts are reffered to as scamers.

How do people get involved, how easily are people scammed and reasons?

Many individuals think of the internet as a get rich quick scheme and once they are exposed to any form of investment promising high ROI, witjout a second taught they jump onto it, you and I as well know how this will end? In a nutshell, GREED is a factor

Secondly the inability to conduct research and make real findings on our own. All this as a result of laziness.

Add yours!!

I entreat all of us to be on the look out for scan projects, make our findings and proof beyound doubts their scam intentions and also avoid been greedy when making an inveatment
What I can add is that scammers are also evolving, meaning their strategy on how to scam the investors are keep on advancing therefore most of the newbies are the victims of scammers dishonest scheme.

The greediness of ROI is what I saw the most useful for the scammers even as of the moment because if someone received an ROI of their that is pretty high then they will spread it to their friends and that is how the scheme almost start. Even if they are good with research but if they will not gamble to their investment they will not gain also, that is how investment works and the scammers scheme were born.
893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What percentage of net worth do you invest in cryptocurrency? on: January 16, 2020, 02:01:12 PM
For the people that first bought cryptocurrency, im curious but what percentage of your net worth did you invest?  To me, net worth would be all the money in your bank accounts minus anything you owe etc.  Of course you include your house and properties you own.  However, the issue with those are well they aren't liquid cash where you can have access to it anytime.

So based on your net worth, what percentage did you put into cryptocurrency?  Im using that word as oppose to bitcoin since well some people definitely only invest in altcoins etc.  Like let say someone's net worth is 50k.  Let say they don't own a house or anything etc.  This 50k is in bank account in savings or anything thats low risk etc.   Now from what i read online, it seems that articles seem to suggest to not put more than 10 percent max in it.  Many mention 5 percent or even less etc.  First off, does anyone here think thats very low or actually very high?  The guy with 50k would mean he could put either 5k or 2500.  Now that isn't exactly a very tiny amount but in order to make a lot of money, that would be hard.  I was watching cnba and they had that guy chamath talk about bitcoin and he mentioned that you should invest 1 percent of your net worth into bitcoin.  The other hosts would say well many people don't have the money you have to invest big etc.  But he then said well let say you only want have 100 dollars to invest.  If you invest the other 99 in other things like stocks or bonds, do 1 dollar in bitcoin because if you lose money in the other 99 percent.. well that 1 percent in bitcoin could possibly offset your losses etc.

So based on that, let say someone has 10000 dollars in money in bank account etc.  But they are basically paycheck to paycheck.  Wouldn't it be risky for that person to put even 1000 dollars?  Because the average net worth of most people are well very low etc.  Then i read about people that put everything in their bank account into cryptocurrency etc.  Do you think those people are crazy for doing that?  I definitely do.  But the thing that shocked me are those stories of people selling their house or getting a big loan to buy bitcoin etc.  I mean does anyone here think that is just ridiculous?

So if someone has say 10k in their bank account to invest, im curious how much money the average crypto investor would invest.  Im guessing 500-2000 is probably the right amount?  However im sure there are ppl out there lot of them that just put in 5k or even more into it right?

The other thing is this.  What if someone only invested 5 percent or 10 percent or something like 2 percent or as high as 25 percent into crypto.  Then it goes all by a huge margin and suddenly their cryptocurrency value compared to their net worth or money in bank account is 50/50 or even higher?  If thats the case, would you say that person should at least cash something out?  Since there are lot of ppl that invested and then made a lot in returns etc... where imagine someone had 20k in bank account.  Invested say 2k.  Then that 2k is turns into 25k.  And their bank account has say 15k.  Would it be smart to just keep holding if they don't need access to the money yet?

Because cryptocurrency is very volatile and obviously isn't something you should put a huge percentage of your money into.  However, im curious about those people that had their cryptocurrency value go higher than their bank account value which im sure is many people.  Also what percentage of people would you say out there whether they told their house or use all the money in their bank account where they have something like 10k or less in their bank account and have something like 50k or even 100k or more in crypto?  I would at first think that is crazy but im guessing this is pretty common now since people are selling their homes for btc etc?
I put most of my savings in crypto currencies especially in Bitcoin, my savings is like 15% of my net worth and I do it monthly.

I safely invest in crypto currencies as I only put the money that I can afford to lose therefore whatever happens in crypto currencies in the future I can still survive. For me selling your house just to invest in crypto currencies is a crazy thinking and I will not try this kind of move.
894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SV Drama on: January 16, 2020, 11:37:47 AM
When you go to a cinema to watch movie, it will have a start and an end. The same is what is presently happening to the present display of BSV in the crypto market.
All of a sudden, it pumped to high and all of a sudden, like a drama, it will **** so low.
Do not be surprised that this will also be like a drama that has a start and will have an end.
I just pity those who will fall for it.
It's just a mere hype.

Be careful, this is year 2020, we ought to be wiser.
Yeah they hype it so much and now it is starting to fall pretty bad, right now a drop of 20% is currently happening. I am not so sure whether the team behind BSV was behind the hype or other groups are doing it and it gives a bad record to BSV.

Even if they are wise, what is good is that most of the investors are aware of what is currently happening and they didn't ride it. And I am hoping that only few were victims to what happened.
895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China Government Cryptocurrency on: January 16, 2020, 02:42:42 AM
China is planning to launch their crypto currency, with attention to distribution and adoption, since they are involving all four major banks in the country, two major e-commerce websites Alibaba and Tencent and UnionPay as online payment provider for all four state banks involved in the project

crypto will be centralized and controlled by the state, but high level of acceptance shall be expected

plan is to launch it no later than 2020, november 11, according to latest news, will be interesting how this is going to influence crypto markets this year

It will be huge as China has the biggest number of population and even 50% of them will engage in crypto currencies then the market will surely be crowded. It will be the start of crypto currency world as I am sure that other countries will also do the same after the successful launch of China's crypto currency.

Even if it was controlled by their state what is more important right now is that we are currently moving forward to eliminating fiat in the near future. I am looking forward on how it can affect the market situation by this year.
896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency will not replace fiat currency on: January 16, 2020, 01:00:59 AM
Look at what happening around. The first cryptocurrency bitcoin was invented to reduce the hassle of third party and have borderless transaction. Isn't it true? Now, look at what happening. People are more into investing it than using it as currency.
Most interesting is people are most interested in coin which give more ROI, they are not interested in the currency-ish of a currency.
For example, some people are talking a lot about BSV, but if they have some research, they will never take it as currency, but as this is giving a good return now, it's best for them. Why man? Why don't we look into a decentralized coin? Why do we only take it as investment? Did Satoshi ever take it as investment? Or he invented Bitcoin for borderless payment and solution to the intermediaries problem?

People are using it as of now as an investment because most of the governments are not yet aware about crypto currencies. Once the awareness will spread all over the world together with the acceptance then bitcoin and other currencies will make another step and that is to replace fiat someday.

Our technology is keep on advancing therefore time will surely come that people will forget fiat and the era of digital payment will commence.
897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SV Beats ETH very hard Soon on: January 15, 2020, 01:07:08 PM
Soon most eth holder will sell eth for BSV, eth is Scam ( if u dont believe it, your brain washed by corrupt media), Since yesterday BSV growed over 137%.
Buy before too late.
increasing BSV price mean Increasing BSV marketCap, while marketcap will be increased, BSV get bigger and bigger, more investor come, more people join, BSV community will be bigger. As simple as that.
Wait you will see how people will forget ETH
Your expectation is pretty high but let's see if your prediction will ever hit it. And before it can replace eth, BSV needs to beat XRP first and BSV needs an almost 5 billion market cap to beat the XRP in the ranking.

I am not so sure if you have grudge against eth or you are part of the marketing team in BSV that is why you are pushing too much effort here in the forum in spreading the good name of BSV. I don't care whether what currencies will come on top but I hate those marketing team that will hurt the other project just to make sure that they will be notice by the community.
898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Promote Bitcoin..... It is for "us" on: January 15, 2020, 07:06:00 AM
When I knew about bitcoin, it was about 10,000 USD. I started understanding how it emerged and how it works. I did (and still do) my best to promote bitcoin too (include my purchase of a branded bitcoin shirt). Though the increase of bitcoin between 2009 - 2019 is the biggest increase I've ever seen, nothing got me as weak as this (a thread Laszlo made on the 18th of may 2010)

Quote
I'll pay 10,000 bitcoins for a couple of pizzas.. like maybe 2 large ones so I have some left over for the next day.  I like having left over pizza to nibble on later.  You can make the pizza yourself and bring it to my house or order it for me from a delivery place, but what I'm aiming for is getting food delivered in exchange for bitcoins where I don't have to order or prepare it myself, kind of like ordering a 'breakfast platter' at a hotel or something, they just bring you something to eat and you're happy!

I like things like onions, peppers, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, pepperoni, etc.. just standard stuff no weird fish topping or anything like that.  I also like regular cheese pizzas which may be cheaper to prepare or otherwise acquire.

If you're interested please let me know and we can work out a deal.

Thanks,
Laszlo

Reading thought this, I felt somehow. First is because he was doing that just to promote the bitcoin. Second is that he offered 10,000 bitcoins for it. 😕
Since I went through that post, I've been feeling weird though I learnt something but....... That is touching 😔

I know that many people are focused on the 10,000 bitcoins (wishing they could get it) but then, let us ALWAYS PROMOTE BITCOIN.
Laszlo served as a very good example here by trying to use bitcoin (22/5/2010) to purchase pizza (and obviously, his goal was achieved as bitcoin is now used for purchase).  Let us all find a way to promote bitcoin! It is for "us"!

It's not a matter of how we are going to promote Bitcoin it's a matter of when we are going to start the promotion because we can always promote Bitcoin in a unique way that we know. Even if you have small audience, your contribution is already a steeping forward for Bitcoin to known widely.

I love promoting Bitcoin to my friends, families and relatives because in other way I also help them to find some extra income by letting them know the advantages of Bitcoin.
899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How we can introduce bitcoin to local people on: January 15, 2020, 03:25:14 AM
One day, I think to myself about how to spreads bitcoin to other people. After I create threads https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5191717.0, I see many of us don't try or don't have time to come into a gathering or make a meetup. So how we can introduce bitcoin to local people in our country if we are not trying to tells them about bitcoin? I know that will related to the regulations in every countries but we can introduce to our close friend so they will spread it into their closest friends too.

And if this is succeed, I think cryptocurrency will grow step by step. I know we can spread bitcoin online, but that doesn't mean all people in your country are aware of bitcoin. How they can know bitcoin if they never use the internet to search the news while we can tell them about bitcoin and another coin by offline.
That is a bright idea then we can start to our family, relatives and friends in introducing what is Bitcoin but if you don't know how to introduce yet. These are the best techniques that you can use in order to make them more comfortable with Bitcoin.

First, you can start introducing Bitcoin as a form of digital payment then second you can follow it up as form of investment also like you can earn a profit if you will get involve in Bitcoin.

In this stage most of them will surely listen especially if they needs some extra income or money and if you have local exchange in your country then you can use it as an example on how they can cash in and exchange your local money to Bitcoin(vice versa). Then explain to them that they just need to monitor the Bitcoin price and let them set a sell limit that they like example they buy it for 8k then they can sell it for 9.5k. That will serve as their sell limit so they will not greedy at first and let them do it slowly with your guidance.
900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Monero Exchanges on: January 15, 2020, 02:26:20 AM
Many people are thinking about monero having more security for reason some. so here is a exchange list for it:
ICE3X Exchange (https://ice3x.com/)
Poloniex (http://poloniex.com/exchange/btc_xmr)
HitBTC (http://hitbtc.com/)
Bittrex (http://bittrex.com/)
LocalMonero (https://localmonero.co/)
Shapeshift (http://shapeshift.io/)
Changelly (https://changelly.com/)
Evonax (http://www.evonax.com/)
Coindirect (https://www.coindirect.com/buy/monero)
Anycoin Direct (https://anycoindirect.eu/)
(Note: Exchanges provide highly varying degrees of safety, security, privacy, and control over your funds and information. Perform your own due diligence and choose a wallet where you will keep your monero before selecting an exchange.)
If you don't need any KYC then it will be best if you just use the changelly or shapeshift exchange. So far I have no problem in using them and what I like is I didn't have to submit any information about me just to exchange any amount that I like to exchange.

They have wide variety of coins/altcoins to exchange and you can just choose whatever you like to use as some of the users are worried about the exchange fees also. You can just check their corresponding fees and also the minimum and maximum amount of monero to exchange.
