Finally! Where were you when I wanted a way to accept fiat and still receive Bitcoin! Definitely going to test this out the next significant opportunity I get. Been meaning to completely convert all my earnings to Bitcoin (without having to keep buying and losing %s to fees.
@Adolfin. Pretty cool for a Finnish startup to help Bitcoin adoption, sort of like LBC did years ago. Not that I believe they don't make money at all haha. They probably still make a little from the spread... If they use Kraken's spot price as advertised.

It's not like i hate your service, but clearly your service isn't decentralized and require 3rd party. Also, i wonder how your service can survive without any fees, unless you have some hidden fees or unfair exchange rate?
I also wonder which country where the bill came from that you support and how long do you store user's invoice data?
We are thriving to build a decentralized service. Unlike Localbitcoin, we ask for each payer to go through a KYC procedure ... to make sure that we don't run into bad people. Sometimes we do run into problems where we have more bills/invoices than payers, so obviously we step in a pay it for people to keep the business afloat and not have people waiting. And we do have a fee, we explained it in the post above this one. But because of the low profit margins, we are thinking of bringing it up 1% ... but that's in talks with management at the moment. Also, we'd be really happy if yourself or anyone you know would be interested in acting as a payer on the platform. We are really looking for a USD payer, but any other currencies is acceptable as well. So what happens is that i pay you, in bitcoin, the equivalent of what my bills would cost in fiat, you then transfer that bitcoin to fiat and go to my service provider and pay my bills? Huh? It seems extremely far-fetched to me, or am i missing something? Also, what is that about the refferal thing? You charge me no fee, but you do pay out your refferals 0.5%. I.E.: Your bill is $100 --- you'll need to send the equivalent of $102 in order to get your bills paid. The 0% fee is given to the person paying your bills. So he/she will be "buying" BTC by paying for your bills. The referral program at the moment is set to 0.5% from every person you refer for every bill/invoice that they pay/submit through the platform. I hope that this answers your questions =) |
