1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uber or Airbnb running on bitcoin on: January 13, 2020, 07:05:34 AM
I'll remind everyone that none of the rideshare companies globally (Uber,Lyft,etc.,etc.) have managed
to make a profit. It is easy to sell things at a discounted price. Maybe not that easy:
https://www.fastcompany.com/90418766/report-not-even-airbnb-can-turn-a-profit

Bitcoin is another form of payment, the advantages offered by blockchain technology is the
game changer. Contrary to popular rumors, the taxi industry didn't disappear. Last time I
checked the 120 year old American taxi industry and the 370 year old London taxi trade have
somehow survived. I can't remember a time taxi drivers didn't complain about not making
enough money.

Bitcoin is great, and most people I meet have heard of it. None of them actually own any Bitcoin
or have ever used it. People can pay for a taxi or airbnb with a credit card or paypal probably,
so what's the advantage of putting those transactions on the blockchain?

The blockchain can be used for communications, logistics, artificial intelligence, and many things
besides just being a ledger used to record transactions. Rapes and house party killings are indeed
innovative yet somehow taxicabs and hotels have survived. Just wait until the airline industry
discovers the blockchain. It's more than just paying for something with Bitcoin.

The purpose of U4RYDE.GQ is to lead us to “a more sustainable, prosperous future.”
RydeToken.GQ The worldwide #smartcontract market is expected to reach $300 million by 2023.
The World Economic Forum predicts that 1/10th of the global GDP will be stored on a #blockchain
by 2027. In legal terms, #cryptoassets & #smartcontracts are the future. That said, cash is king.
Cash almost always works..... but it can't do all of the things cryptocurrency can do.

3  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: December 09, 2014, 04:57:12 AM
11:50 PM Dec. 8TH 2014 - Request invite for Paycoin's Public ICO
NOTHING ELSE communicated publicly about PayCoin. Twitter, the company
home page, the zen pool dashboard - NOTHING.

The GOOD NEWS is next week Josh and his crew will change their minds and
photoshop a new mining oppty.
4  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW ZenCloud ZenPool Hashlet - does it really exist? ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: September 23, 2014, 08:39:39 PM
Has it been declared exactly what 1 HP(Hashpoint) is worth? Can they be
redeemed to purchase more hashlets? I heard you got rewarded HP for having
a balance of BTC on ZenPool. Also, is .01 BTC 1 BitCoin Milli-cent?

Having read the two announcements regarding the Hashlet Prime I just
got to say WTF? Until now I never had any doubts about the company
but some of this stuff just sounds crazy.

What is the point of having someone log in twice a day to 'boost' the mining device?

Either this stuff exists or not, some mining and payouts are going on. Everyone screams
about ROI like the price and mining difficulty is never going to change. Lowering the
price to $25 and giving automatic credits sounds like a great idea to me - I would just
use the credit to buy another Hashlet Prime.
5  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW ZenCloud ZenPool Hashlet - does it really exist? ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: September 21, 2014, 01:22:35 AM
Is the Hashlet Prime @ $50 a good deal/the best option? Or is the $9.95 or
$20 Zen Hashlet the better deal? Why is this "boosting" available only twice
a day? Is mining even worth it when your payouts start with three zeroes?
.0007111

Why is ZenCloud payouts higher than 60Mhz at cloudhashing.com??

What do you guys think the future of difficulty will be and its effects? Anyone
got any price predictions/feelings?

8  Other / Beginners & Help / Mining with Phoenix 2 on Windows 7 64-bit from Bitcoin.cz - it says DISCONNECTED on: December 18, 2012, 08:49:57 PM

Phoenix VERBOSE=TRUE -u backend=http://xxxxxxxxxxxx.yyy:zzzzzzzzzz@api.bitcoin.cz:8332 -k phatk2 DEVICE=0 VECTORS BFI_INT WORKSIZE=128 AGGRESSION=11

and ive tried:

and my 2.9Mhz dual core with Radeon 4200 just wont mine!
No problems with my Comodo firewall as far as I can tell, and Panda Cloud AV might be an issue, but Im
almost positive it is a problem with my .cfg file.

PLEASE, PLEASE HELP - answer me here or email me at madstudios30620@gmail.com

this working. I realize with my system I probably pay more for electricity,but...
Id be happy to generate any results.

Has anyone been successful with Phoenix 2 mining on bitcoin.cz??

Why does it just tell me DISCONNECTED and then just sit there. Do I need to install
the official bitcoin wallet to get it to run/mine bitcoins?

9  Other / Beginners & Help / The Best Way To Buy/Store BitCoins on: June 22, 2012, 04:15:02 PM
The world of BitCoins is evolving and there are many great, legit
exchanges and mining sites around. Unfortunately, the more things
change, the more they stay the same. You have to worry about
passwords being stolen, accounts being drained, users being targeted
by the govt. or unscrupulous hackers, etc., etc.

Ive found a way to exchange and store BitCoins that seems to be
damn near ideal. If you humor me and get there via my associate links
Ill get a much-needed bonus in my account:

BTCwww.exchangevirtualcurrency.com
and soon to be informational: www.exchangevirtualcurrency.info

What puzzles most, and what people are looking for most, is a way to covert
a few US dollars safely to BitCoins or a way to convert BitCoins back to US
dollars with safety and without hassle. VirWox makes this possible. I dont
understand all the international legal considerations but it is a Austalian
company and the banking is in Austria.

The process is simple if not at all obvious. First, you have to be logged in
to see the menus and charts needed. Then what you want to do is deposit
some money into your account via CC(via netbookers i think) or PayPal (just
a few clicks). Then, you will want to buy Second Life Linden dollars. Then,
you can use your Linden dollars to buy BitCoins.

You get a BitCoin address you can deposit BitCoins into when you set up
your account and click on the BitCoin link. The exchange rate for Linden
dollars never changes much. And you can enter buy/sell limit orders where
you buy or sell if the BitCoin reaches the desired price.

And the markets are not manipulated like they MAY be on certain BitCoin
exchange sites. Your account wont disappear one night when the govt.
decides to crack down. For me, it just seems to be the ideal method
to invest in a few BitCoins.

BUT, the BitCoin world is evolving faster than I get a chance to visit the
internet and do BitCoin research(see www.BitMinter.Com , a java
based mining client that evens works on port 80 at the library, something
that just wasnt possible not that long ago. So, if anyone knows of anything
REALLY COOL or a possible good use of my domain names, please get in touch:
 madstudios30620@gmail.com

I sincerely hope someone finds this useful and uses my links, because I really
need the money.  Seriously, living hand to mouth, and am having a hard time
keeping food and fresh drinking water....

Yeah, everybody else on the internet can post hyperlinks except me, I got it.

Still, hard to function on the internet without them.....

Virwox is in Austria, backed by a real bank, has real security, and no a second
life account is not necessary to sign up unless you want to transfer virtual
currency to your second life avatar.

2011-05-04: Over 30,000 registered users; Over 7.5 Billion L$ exchanged!

Today we passed a number of important milestones at the same time: We were able to welcome our registered user number 30,000. Also, we have traded over 7,500,000,000 Linden dollars (about 20 million Euro / US$ 30 million), emphasizing our position as the leading independent exchange for trading Linden dollars. In addition, we have traded already 20 million Avination C$.

2011-04-27: New payment and withdrawal method: Bitcoin
Bitcoin

Bitcoins are an innovative method to transfer money fast, securely, and anonymously. Payments are inexpensive, as they are performed directly betweeen users identified by a Bitcoin address. Instead of a central payment processor, a distributed peer-to-peer network keeps track of all transactions.

You get a bitcoin address to receive payments and you can transfer your bitcoin to any bitcoin address.
I think - this stuff is a bit confusing, consult your virtual currency expert to be sure.

15  Other / Beginners & Help / Always at the kiddies table/openCL question on: June 15, 2011, 01:32:17 PM
....Probably because I ask questions like this: What would this program
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/run_as_date.html do to the various bitcoin
miners? What if you went to a future date?

Also Ive got a 2.9Mhz Phenom II from AMD with ATI RADEON 4200 - how do
I make certain Ive got everything I need to use a openCL miner,
which one works the best, and what are the settings I need to
put in the openCL screensaver to get it to run more than a few seconds
and crashing?

A faulty internet connection seems to be the cause of this nasty bizness:

17  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: RPC Miners (CPU/4way/CUDA/OpenCL) on: June 11, 2011, 03:34:31 PM
The 4wayminer screensaver seems to be working, giving me about 4100khash/s on
my 2.9Mhz AMD dual core cpu. Ive got a Radeon4200 that seems to be openCL
capable, and Ive got version 1.3 of the latest updates for it, but the openCL
miner which did not work at all before, after the updates, works for a few seconds
and then crashes. The GPU options settings for both screensavers would not
accept input before, and now do, what sort of options should I be trying in the
GPU section? aggression, gpu, threads, etc.

I really want to know. If you'd rather email me, Im madstudios30620@gmail.com

And if anyone wants to be kind and generous enough to give me my first
bitcoin dollar(or a few) it's 1KASaeM4cLYQnrY1Qyz28fr3pj9hx1TPWx

I also think my ATI RADEON 4200 is capable of SSE2, whatever that is, and Ive
heard there is some way to use this to make mining even faster.

And yes, I am BitCoin clueless. But if you have a website you want to add bitcoin
to Id say www.bitp.it is the place to go. I have the code on my website, (you do read, right?)
at: http://www.freescottwalsh.info/reader.html

EVERYONE WHO READS THIS - Set that page in a browser window and leave it running
TUESDAY JUNE 14TH and Ill let you know if it has any effect.

And I do my pool mining at bitcoin.cz - is this the best pool for an occasional screensaver miner?

I dont really feel guilty of money laundering, yet I still get an illicit thrill. Am I crazy or what?

the openCL

18  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Windows Screensaver RPC Miners (CPU/4way/CUDA/OpenCL) on: June 04, 2011, 01:39:11 PM
I used settings like this:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bitcoin Screensaver]
"workrefreshms"=dword:000001f4
"url"="http://mining.bitcoin.cz:8332/"
"username"="login.suffix"
"password"="password"
"statsurl"="http://mining.bitcoin.cz/stats/json/"
"aggression"=dword:0000000a
"threadscpu"=dword:00000001

(I left out all those with dword, if left blank, defaults are used.
And it worked. Make sure your firewall isnt blocking that port, the mining website might have
been down, or sometimes Ive seen it take a few minutes before it started working.

I figured out my Radeon 4200 GPU isnt going mining, as far as I know. My dual core Phenom
does around 3900-4200 hash/s - Any cent$ in me doing this? How long? Calculator?
19  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Windows Screensaver RPC Miners (CPU/4way/CUDA/OpenCL) on: June 01, 2011, 08:41:42 AM
I got a Windows7 64-bit AMD laptop with ATI and Ive got the screensaver
working with my account at bitcoin.cz

THANKS!!!

Only the 1st one, the 4wayminer screensaver has a SETUP button
that works, and on that one, GPU options can't be set.

Is this how it is supposed to work or did I do something wrong?

Now that I have these files, is there a .bat file or some way to use
my GPU and what other mining pools should I be looking at?

Also, how much difference does it make if the screensaver stops and
starts, for instance, if it runs for 4 hours but stops for a few minutes
5 or 6 times versus running 4 hours straight.

My 2.9Mhz toshiba satelite gets about 4000 hashs/s - what sort of bitcoin
reward should I expect?

Has anyone built or dedicated a data center yet? What about running it on
a cloud like Hyper-V?
