Where is Litecoin in all of this? Usually it's LTC price increase with the BTC's.
Confused by this happening. Undecided
...

For the last two years the pattern was: BTC goes down -> LTC goes down with it ; BTC goes up - > LTC stays flat

But for the last week, LTC started displaying the reversal of this trend. First it just stayed at the same point no matter what happened to BTC. Now it's showing some growth. My guess is people are considering that it's bottomed out after falling for 3 years and that it's a good buy-in point.

i bet its gana go F'ing sideways all bloody weekend again

Is the bottom in? It's back to $1155 on stamp, the dumps have stopped, and there's been a few little pumps.

Please guys make a new panic sell I miss this 1101$.

Ask Viny and others influent guys to say again bitcoin will fall down to 300$ and blablabla so i can buy.

I'm still waiting for the double digits I was promised way back in 2015!!! What's up with that!?

Im really thinking of getting more exposure in alts. We might see sub 1 k :/

Hmm...this is how shills are born. Sell low, buy alts high, then try to recover your losses by trying to get everyone else to buy your alt with the hopes of breaking even and selling.

Yup. Just had to talk my coworker out of buying into the ETH/Dash bubble. He had a serious case of FOMO. Sure, the price may be much higher before it bursts. But you have to be retarded not to see that this growth is not sustainable...

I just created an account and i have to say that they F2A security is pure crap. If you don't have hardware for an SHA256 don't even bother setting up a SHA1 OPT because this encryptation is so outdated and all companies advise against using it.

I wouldn't leave my money there more than an hour. I can't understand how an exchange with a lot of volume per day can be so insecure, there are exchanges with far less volume and with so much better security.
Isn't it google authenticator that uses SHA-1 and therefore every exchange that uses GA uses SHA-1? But i agree that it should be fixed yesterday.

Quote
On 23 February 2017, Google announced the SHAttered attack, in which they generated two different PDF files with the same SHA-1 hash in roughly 263.1 SHA-1 evaluations.[2] This attack is about 100,000 times faster than brute forcing a SHA-1 collision with a birthday attack, which is estimated to take 280 SHA-1 evaluations. The attack required "the equivalent processing power as 6,500 years of single-CPU computations and 110 years of single-GPU computations."[2]

You guys are feeling pretty important if you think someone is going to spend '110 years of single-GPU computations' to hijack your account...

Let's say they were to point all that GPU computing power to mining Dash instead (RX 480)... That would make them 385 Dash or $37.000. So while SHA-1 can be defeated it's still very hard and unpractical for attacking the average Joe's account.

What is dead may never die!

The chikun will arize, eventually.

It lacks certain bling features that attract hordes of hipsters, but it's still a 100x better payment option because of its price stability alone.

A nice price pump is great for HODLers and traders in general. But the amount of people actually using it to purchase goods/services drops to pretty much zero during a rally.

Can anyone (maybe BU supporters) explain me why would miners support an action (non unanimous hard fork) that will surely result in an inmediate drop of the price and also a long term lose of trust/value of Bitcoin?

Shouldn't miners act always in what is better for higher Bitcoin price (higher rewards for them)? Or is it that for some unexplained reason they think the price would react otherwise? Is there a hidden agenda that I am not aware of?

I really can't get it.

Miners want the price to be low most of the time. They love the huge drops, because it keeps the little guys who might be competition out. They also love the pumps so they can sell, but they really don't want it to last too long.

If you are counting on the price to go up it's much easier and less risky to buy coins. If you are a miner you want the price low, so you don't have too much competition.

SEC live stream won't be addressing the Bitcoin ETF.

I've tried to explain, they won't listen Wink

guys guys guys!!  The orange circle saying COIN is unlisted has disappeared from the Bloomberg chart!!!!!!!!!!  https://www.bloomberg.com/quote/COIN:US

It's still unlisted. What's your point?

Ten minutes ago it said it was unlisted on an orange disc in the middle of the empty price chart.  It still says unlisted on the left but the orange disc has gone.  It's a change.  I don't know what it means but it's a change.  Somebody's working on the page.

You guys are grasping at straws. The circle is still there. Just press F5 Wink
971  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 10, 2017, 02:32:38 PM

Because the stream has nothing to do with ETF / COIN / Bats rule change ... Wink

What do you guys think about this? I don't like it. Better to have normal growth.

People are waiting for a signal. They saw it and overeacted. Way to go finex Smiley

I just asked Siri about the EFT approval using eight ball and she said, "Nope."  Grin

Asked Cortana too: she also said nope.
They don't know how to resolve "ETF" in the question, so default to a negative response.

Yes you do understand this is a joke

You do understand this is German humor?

Hypolite,

I never had any problems with Kraken. They have always been reactive when I asked them and for me it is a serious platform in which I trust.

I would have written EXACTLY THE SAME - until Feburary 2nd, when they put my money on hold and not even bothered to inform me about this!

Then they started to play on time and give hot-air-answers.
They just tell me after some posts, that I simply should give it PLENTY OF TIME and then, one day it may clear up! Cool.

Never ever Kraken! I want my money back! I want to get clear explanations where in the T&C what rulings apply and what legal steps can be taken where for defense.

BS

The thing about AML procedures is that they have to be a secret in order to work. That's why they keep you in the dark. If they told you exactly what they noticed, then that rule would effectively become useless since people trying to launder money would know exactly what to avoid...

I know it's annoying, but they have to do investigations. If they don't, they risk losing their licences...

Once you get cleared, you can alway head straight to BTC-E. No annoying AML/KYC restrictions. Just pure freedom with multi week long waits for fiat withdraws and riculous fees... Wink

Hi everybody.

I made a deposit last Friday, it arrived on my account Kraken Monday morning but in ON HOLD (I do not understand why .....) I opened a ticket and also contacted the support, but so far My deposit is always ON HOLD. Do you know how long it may last? It is emborting because I would buy tokens ^^.

This is not the time I make deposits.

All the best

Various reasons. Most common is if you make two deposits for the same amount very close together. Then they have to check if it is really a double transaction or not.

Usually it takes a day or two. An since it's Wednesday go ahead and open a ticket to support.

Now, with these last news, eth price and btc price will up, more and more!

Just a little time to prices explode!

what news?

what the hell... did i miss something?

Probably the winklevii changes a color on their homepage or something like that ;-)

This is the hint they are trying to make with the approval of their ETF?
Wouldn't it just take more than a color of the rainbow to do that?
It just keeps everybody on their edge of their seats while the price is suffering now.
It is making it crazy to not know what to do with it's self. Lips sealed

+1

I just hate how the price is suffering around the new ATH. Terrible!
