1  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Don't buy "wallet.dat" files with lost passwords; EXCHANGE THEM. on: September 15, 2020, 01:46:01 AM
I'm interested in attempting to break some of these wallets but I'm not sure where to get them. If anyone wants to share, let me know.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Gold & GPU Mining? on: November 12, 2017, 10:21:33 PM
I'm mining with a rx 580 8gb right now. I'm getting 292H/s with default specs, intensity = 9.

I'm looking for some config tweeks to lower power consumption and heat while increasing power, ideally.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any work left for radeon 5830's? on: May 19, 2017, 03:10:23 PM
they will work for monero (xmr).. you can use claymore's cryptonight to mine.

cryptonote?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: trying to access my ripple wallet on: May 16, 2017, 04:54:24 PM
well fuck. I had 1000 XRP but 980 were stolen and sent to rn7Ap3vBNeNYjdh87d9H8dSUZM8LTLkXKv three years ago. I'm sure there's no way to get that back. That fucking sucks. I've been scammed out of so much. My old mining pool took 6BTC when they shut down. Mt Gox took another 6 BTC. Some fuck took these 980 XRP and butterfly labs ate about 25btc for a product that eventually brought me 5btc... Damn it.

I still have the secret key.
Gatehub.com isn't working.
Not sure I can remember my login credentials...

trying gatehub.net.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / trying to access my ripple wallet on: May 14, 2017, 01:52:45 PM
I got into ripple in the early days and I'm trying to access my wallet. Can anyone shed some light on the new proceedures?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Reentering mining - discussion about ETH, etc mining. on: May 14, 2017, 01:51:41 PM
Yeah, I have lifetime warranty on the 5830's so I'm trying to put them to work.

What's the most cost effective GPU these days for ETH?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any work left for radeon 5830's? on: May 14, 2017, 02:55:39 AM
Jeeze, thats it, eh? I have lifetime warranties on my 5830's so ... you know... would rather use them heh.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Reentering mining - discussion about ETH, etc mining. on: May 14, 2017, 12:24:29 AM
If that's the case... what's the point in even spending any?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Any work left for radeon 5830's? on: May 13, 2017, 12:43:58 AM
Any coins left worth mining with a 5830?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Reentering mining - discussion about ETH, etc mining. on: May 13, 2017, 12:17:15 AM
what is the idea behind POS? Right now is proof of work but POS = proof of share?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Reentering mining - discussion about ETH, etc mining. on: May 12, 2017, 08:58:00 PM
jesus there are so many cryptos at $100ish now.

What's something I can mine with two 5830's and a 5870? ZEC seems to be cuda friendly.

Is ETH going to be mined with ASIC any time soon? Is it even possible?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Etherium mining - noob here on: May 12, 2017, 08:05:03 PM
Yeah... I figured it'd only be enough time to mine 1-2 ETH. Really bummed I didn't find out about this 6 months ago. Just been off the cryptogrid.

4gb?! Jeeesus. I thought minimum was 2. Maybe I'll buy a new GPU... maybe not. Still rocking a 5850...or 70 and two 5830s.

Any speculation into what a good new cryptocoin will be?
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Etherium mining - noob here on: May 12, 2017, 05:17:00 PM
I'm also curious about GPU mining. I understand that a GPU needs 2gb or more at this point but I don't know much more than that. Support for ETH seems shaky - no real mining calculators, etc.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Etherium mining - noob here on: May 12, 2017, 06:36:22 AM
I heard about something to do with proof of work switching to something else but I don't really understand it. Wouldn't it be better to try to get some ETH now before that happens?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Reentering mining - discussion about ETH, etc mining. on: May 12, 2017, 06:29:26 AM
I used to mine bitcoin and I loved it. I really wish I had learned about ETH before this past winter - I would have mined the shit out of it. I have a few questions.

How long do you expect GPU will be relevant to ETH mining? Is it worth getting into at this point or is it on it's way out?  Is ETH going to be mined with FPGA or ASIC in the future?

17  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: looking for any mining equipment people want to give away on: January 10, 2015, 01:38:23 AM
Just wanted to bump this up. I'm interested in any mining hardware at this point.

ah joke eh?
19  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: looking for any mining equipment people want to give away on: November 26, 2013, 01:09:28 AM
currently I'm looking for GPU's and miners to help heat my apartment. I hate having to turn the electric heaters on. That power can be used for hashing!

20  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How did I do? on: November 23, 2013, 05:51:45 PM
I enjoy mining. I'm probably going to hold off till either 20nm or 14nm ASICs hit though. Or I may grab a black arrow Prospero X-1. Little risk in buying a $300 miner.
