1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The question going through everyone's mind. on: November 22, 2013, 08:30:18 AM
At least the one going through mine..

How do you legislate around bitcoin, in order to take down the bad guys (like murderers, terrorists, not to mention drug deals, sex traffic, etc.) without bearing down too heavily on innovative businesses or shutting out potential markets?

THAT my friends, is the question...or its at least one of them.
2  Bitcoin / Legal / MSB Regulation by country on: September 20, 2013, 03:38:29 AM
I've seen some posts on the regulations within the United States on mining bitcoins. FinCEN is fairly clear about the fact that miners are classified as money transmitters which also makes them a MSB (Money Services Business).
I wonder about the legal/regulatory environment in other countries.

Does anyone have information on the regulation of MSB's or more specifically bitcoin miners outside of the US?
What about dealing with US customers as a miner from outside the United States?
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you think BTC will hit $200? on: September 18, 2013, 05:46:11 PM
I think that after the big price drop in April, we are able to take a much more realistic look at trends. The price drop seemed to me like an indicator of how peoples excitement about an idea can drive the price up way above what bitcoins are actually worth. That being said, I believe the trend will continue upwards well past $200, but at a reasonable rate and because of factors that are mostly predictable...e.g. difficulty increase, market acceptance, etc.
If I were to put an arbitrary date on it... 1 year from today bitcoins will be worth 247 USD, not accounting for inflation of the USD.
