1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook starts testing Bitcoin payments on their Advertising Platform - BTC 1k! on: January 05, 2014, 10:16:44 PM
Usually I would call bullshit but because I've had some experience with AM and Facebook ads, knowing how close Zynga and FB were at one time, this actually makes sense as a lot of AM's have been moving into the bitcoin space during the last quarter of 2013.
2  Other / Off-topic / Re: Once BTC is $10,000 each, what car will you get if you HAD to choose? on: January 04, 2014, 10:38:56 PM
I'll be getting a Toyota Corolla, maybe a new one but probably one 1-3 years old with low KM. It doesn't draw attention and I prefer to remain low key.

Why would you want an expensive sports car that draws attention, costs a lot of money to maintain and insure and will lose value as the years go by. It's a massive waste of money, don't piss your bitcoins away on useless shit that you don't really need. If you must have one, lease one until the novelty wears off.

Of course, I say this as a man in his 30's. If I was in my late teens or early 20's, I would be going straight to the Porsche dealership.

The only big ticket items I would purchase is property.

He has not logged in for almost a month. It's obvious your money is of little concern to him (now that he has it).
4  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Graet.Loan - Paying 0.05% interest daily on: December 10, 2013, 08:32:23 AM
I think it's just to cover his ass so that when this ship sinks and people chase him, he'll be able to say he continued to pay divs via bitfunder as per the agreement and that if you have any problems, you need to take it up with them, not him.

Expect more and more of this Clickbank rubbish as time goes on.
7  Other / Off-topic / Re: Alex jones calls Bitcoin a "Bubble" & "Globalist NWO" Creation on: December 03, 2013, 09:07:54 PM
The guy is a marketer, that's all. He spews out so much shit, of course he is going to be right some of the time (broken clock right twice a day). He won't promote Bitcoin because he hasn't figured out how to sell it to his viewers while taking a slice of the profits and he doesn't want the dimwits that listen to him to buy bitcoins instead of berkey water filters, survival seeds or whatever other shit he is pushing this week.

Payouts have been pending and confirmed yet are nowhere to be seen on the blockchain. At first we were told it was a technical issue but now I suspect that the pool operator is using the funds to pay more urgent debts which means miners are providing him with a 0 interest loan without their knowledge. Given this has been going on for a few weeks and the payment delays are increasing in duration, I've left and I would warn others to be wary.

So did any of you make out like bandits?
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peter Schiff vs. Stefan Molyneux - Gold v. Bitcoin Debate (video) on: November 26, 2013, 08:41:46 AM
well, he did say 'if i could buy bitcoins at $30 like when it was before, i'd do it." which is a stupid point to bring up, since it's complete hindsight. what happened was that he was bearish on BTC when it was $30 or so, and he didn't think it was worth it, but he wouldn't admit that.

That's because it's all about whether there is an opportunity for him to skim the profits. Because he doesn't understand it, he doesn't want anyone buying it until he has a firm grasp on it and then him, Alex Jones and the rest of those affiliate marketers will start flogging it hard. Probably won't happen though as their listener base is too stupid to grasp the concept so they'll stick to gold, silver, survival seeds and fucking berkey water filters.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peter Schiff vs. Stefan Molyneux - Gold v. Bitcoin Debate (video) on: November 26, 2013, 08:35:44 AM
Don't waste your time on this one, nothing to do with Molyneux but it's pretty much Schiff trying to talk over Molyneux the entire time because it's not fair if Bitcoin erodes his PM business he's worked so hard to build up over decades and lose it all to Bitcoin right at the very end just as the economy implodes.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peter Schiff - Who would you like to see debate him? on: November 26, 2013, 06:58:14 AM
Schiff is like a child, won't allow someone to finish their point without constantly interrupting. Molyneux has the patience of a monk.
14  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Personal responsiblity and the Ponzi scam. on: November 23, 2013, 12:26:02 AM
You should spend a good deal of time reading and a greater deal of time testing things out methodically before you promote yourself mentally to "average", or even "crummy". This means years. Years.

What reading material do you suggest?

So, unless you want to draw erroneous conclusions about how to program, as has become glaringly obvious in this little episode, I suggest you only test your code using your local python interpreter.

I don't know if this is related but it only uses the libraries we need to complete the course.

I need to learn python

Jump aboard with this course! I'm pretty much a beginner so we can assist one another via this thread Smiley I'm dedicating 1-2 hours a day to this, just need to make it habit for it to stick in my mind otherwise I'll forget.
