Hope that such news will encourage others. Enough bad publicity for BTC already!

Very very old news...
3  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: new miner needs help for 0.1btc/week on: May 16, 2014, 03:03:02 PM
I am all new to the bitcoin world and  i would like to start mining. I know this isnt the gold rush anymore and that the good days are over but i am still interested in mining even if i dont make money out of it. To start off I would like to mine 0.1btc per week. I think this should be doable. But this is where i need help, I am not sure how much power i am gonna need to do it. I mean how many gh/s. I would then buy something appropriate.

I know computers cant really mine anymore but im gonna leave my specs anyway just in case.

Amd phenomII 965 deneb. Quadcore 3.4ghz
Nvidia geforce 650 ti boost superclocked.

So if anyone can help me calcukating the power i need! Thanks!

Since your new, I suggest buying Bitcoin directly and not fall into the mining game...
4  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How much GH/s to add?? on: May 16, 2014, 03:01:20 PM
obviously the more the better , In the future your investment will pay off  Cool

You calculate your profit based on price per GH/s. So its the same...
5  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Would it still be profitable if bitcoin goes down to $1 a bitcoin? on: May 16, 2014, 03:00:42 PM
Would it still be profitable if bitcoin goes down to $1 a bitcoin?
Definitely no. As there would be no point in mining. You would pay more for electricity to keep your computers working. There's no profit in such approach. Then, what would be the difference between USD and BTC?

Everyone would do that and you can turn back on after difficulty adjusted Smiley..
6  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 1.1THS makes barely $20 a day!!! on: May 16, 2014, 02:58:14 PM
Many people pre-order ASICs when bitcoin hit $1000, they used $1000 to calculate their profit. Few months down the road and delay from manufacturer = bye bye ROI...
7  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Is It Worth It ........ on: May 16, 2014, 02:56:22 PM
hello i am thinking about starting mining not to be rich but just to make some extra coin
i have been looking around  on different hardware and i like those asic usd
my budget is only big enough to bye 46 asic bitcoin mining usb and what ever i need to make it work

so my question is how much would i be able to make on that setup
it need not be precis just an estimate

and would it be more profitable if went after litecoin instead

Please don't buy any USB, they are worthless..
8  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Im seriously thinking about getting some mining hardware. on: May 16, 2014, 02:54:18 PM
Actually, Litecoin mining with a few gridseed miners looks pretty promising in the long run.

Not anymore, look at the 250 MHz asic from KNCminer... Soon the difficulty would go 10x...

I though hashfast shipped with casing, did you remove them?
10  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Residential Hobbyist Miners: power concerns? on: May 16, 2014, 02:45:14 PM
Hobbyist mining altcoins.

Had 4 rigs of about 1400kh each, sold 1 and down to 3 rigs. Lost a ton of $ due to Scrypt ASIC Sad

Isn't it still profitable with GPU mining x11 due to the power saving? I am currently mining on groest Smiley

Barely, I used to make 0.01 BTC a day per rig after electric, even mining X11, I am at 0.003 BTC a day. Each rig cost $1000, so not really Sad

But you are still profitable right? I mean if you mine on scrypt you might loss instead due to the power charges...
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Aiden, the first Scrypt-OG (Optimized for GPU) coins, low power, defeat ASIC ! on: May 16, 2014, 02:41:57 PM
Sorry but why is scrypt-og asic resistance?

The best way to quit smoking is find a thing that you like the most (games, sports, whatever). And do that when you feel like smoking.

Generally, for those who have received parcels and packages through air mail, how long did it take for it to arrive and clear customs to your home?

It depends, if its DHL then its fast like 3-7 days, if your talking about china air mail it ganna take months...

19  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here we go on: May 16, 2014, 02:27:40 PM
I hope expert was right with his analysis. According to this next rally will rise the price up to over $5k :-)
I think that indeed this is possible and what else I can say it is needed to +++ the value of the Bitcoin. As current wall situation is getting me realy bored :-)

If there is a rally, it will tear the $1000 mark and then $5000 will not seem so far away.

As long as we don't have another Mt. Gox kind of thieving crap and Chinese bitches staying out, it may gradually get into the bull mode.

Still waiting for the bull, it has been silent at $440....
