And we all do nothing than? So what actions do you suggest we should take now?

I contacted a bussiness associate who does a lot of work in Russia, he said it would take a lot of time and a lot of money to bring someone to justice there. Personnel records are not as well organized as here in europe and you would probably have to rent a P.I. to find him, and then we would still have to see how we get our money back. For some reason I came accross this link which I have not seen before. It holds the following information, names of some of the other owners and a very nice record of companies where Vitaly has worked. So perhaps someone with more possibility's of taking action in Russia can find him. https://gust.com/companies/CoinEXCompany Overview CoinEX is decentralised cryptocurrency exchange and mining platform: Exchange - using CoinEX.pw in a realtime. They can then be traded on the exchange and become available to the general public. Combine - integrates both mining and trading into one central site. Management Team Roman Sklyar Co-Founder/Project Manager 2013 – Present Time CoinEx.pw as Co-Founder\Project Manager. 2012 – 2013 JSC RUSAL Traders as Business Consultant \Project Manager. 2011 – 2012 The State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM as Business Consultant. 2010 – 2011 JSC “SeverStal” as Project Manager of SAP implementation. 2009 – 2010 JSC “NOVOLIPETSK STEEL” as Financial consultant at BDO. 2007 – 2009 LC “SIBIRSKIY GIGANT” as Financial consultant at BCC Consulting Company. exchange will be back soon, recovering the database backup to fix all the mess happened overnight
I hope your not joking that would give the community another push towards the negative, to me it seems like there's a whole lot more going on than just a database faillure. He is joking. It's never coming back. They've already sold coins stolen from Coinex users. There is blockchain proof. Than this must be another asshole the crypto community doesn't need.

But there is nothing to avoid anymore, when the site was still up and accesible through an adjustment of the hosts file, you could still check the balance and have some form of "false" hope that these guys where actually just arrogant asshole's which would come through somehow. Call me stupid or ignorant of moron or whatever, I don't care, it just says something about you, but I checked in from time to time to see the sad score of my missing altcoins. (and it is a lot.) and hoping it would work out someway.
I did got 32 LTC out when Erundook said it was possible to withdraw, but I could not take out my other coins (12000 EXC for example which are now worthless.) There was no more trading going on since it wasn't accesible anymore in a normal matter, and I cancelled all the open orders leaving me with just some balances to look at.
A hard lesson learned, don't trust exchanges and don't trust active community members who advise certain exchanges to you because they know the owners are great people.
So please leave this forum intact so everyone can read how it went down.

The site is completly gone now. Indeed it is. I haven't bothered to even check them for a few weeks now. I know the DNS provider pulled their plug a few months ago, but I wonder when this happened? Suddenly I realize what has happened. Suddenly? You ain't been around here for a while, have you? Is there any way we can have this thread removed? thread remove? damn NO!! Let`s find this guy. +1, removing this thread would only lead to erasing it ever happened, why would you want to do that?

all alt coins might not magically come back. But the equivalent in btc Value will come for sure.
Yeah, that just sucks with the current value's on coinex. Why doesn't he put in buy orders and then make the coins he buys disappear, till it evens out with the lost coins. Just put a withdrawel hold on the coins.

For those wanting for daily updates - I only speak when I have something to say. Posting "we're working, be patient" every day is useless and does nothing except annoying people.
All the debt *will* be paid. We're working on that. Those are not small money so it takes time to find & gather.
Keep calm & carry on.
- Vitaly
Perhaps not daily, but weekly, or "All mining pools will be offline because we're working on them", or "Wallets are offline until refunded". Now we are just left in the dark, guessing what is going on. A lot of peoply try to continue trading on your site to help you out, you know? But without some words from you it just stops. At least I am glad to hear from you and will try to carry on trading on your site.

CoinEx is online. Only BTC & LTC withdrawals will work yet, rest will come next week. Has he ever been on time with his time lines? No. So why would you think this time would be any different? I knew that 'next week' was BS as soon as I read it. Well I am naïve and still believe in humanity so one might learn from his mistakes and might try to do things differently.

I am speculating that the theft was a result of the openSSL Heartbleed bug. Based on that, I don't see any negligence from CoinEX, and I have every reason to believe they are trying to survive & refund everyone.
Thoughts?
Or maybe the accidently deleted the wallets and did not have a backup. I can understand they don't want to react to threats and trolls, but then they could send their customers a private mail.

Are you serious?

That was three weeks ago, not a word about the situation. He can have all the time he wants for all I care, but by not giving any news, people will take their coins out when they can, so will I.

My concern with it is there were NO details as to what happened, and, consequently, NO information as to the plan to stop it from happening again.
I agree, The ostrich tactic isn't a good one. We stil don't now if coins were stolen that were not in the orderlist. For all of you talking about the risks, there is a big difference between losing your coins by making stupid trades, or by having them stolen, and you need volume to trade so you put a lot of coins online. By now everyone nows about security measures, so I wanna now what happend before helping out with new investments.

I als had a lot of coins there, but I try to remain calm because they fixed it the first time, it doesn't make sense to me business wise. Why would you steal 150 btc from your own customers while you can make so much on transaction fee's. It seems they were working hard on building their exchange. However, patience is running out and I do expect news today.
You are the ignorance that lets them from getting away with it. I posted it a million fucking times... hes going to sell our shit for more than it's worth than give us back a small percentage of what he got. He has to figure out all the numbers and make sure nobody bitches. I'm sure once the site even comes back up though you will all be hootin' and hollarin', while he already made an asston of money off of all of us.................. Yes, and you are coming so much further, calling people names and acting on your emotions, getting yourself completly frustrated. What do you expect to gain out of that behaviour? I have been in situations like this before. Don't let them fuck up your head man.

Don't worry! He said he's working on it about a week ago.
Yes, and that is exactly how it went down the first time.

You know that special extra key you need to enter if you registered to 2 tier security so that if someone gets your account they still shouldn't have the info to get the funds out of your account. That uses an authenticator like authy to make the code to present when needed.
Is there a different word for it in bitcoin?
It's called two-factor authentication commonly mentioned as 2FA. Aah. Yeah, if you enable 2FA on your AllCrypt.com account you need to enter it to withdraw funds. Nearly impossible for hackers to bypass. So it is possible? I had 2FA on. But as I understand the accounts were not hacked, but the wallet server.

Dev, It seems I have to divide transaction amount by 100 to get the right amount sent. So to transfer 100 NYM it have to type 1.00 in the box.

How would I know if this list is not a way to make me dump certain altcoins?
