unplug the unit and place it infront of a desk fan keep rotating it every 2-3 mins for about 20 mins untill its cold then plug it back in you should see a small improvement in speed

id offer 0.5 btc for it Cheesy

111  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: low accepted shares on 1 out of 3 ASIC Miner on: November 09, 2013, 11:30:01 PM
either the hubs not providing enough power or a faulty miner try each miner on its own to check they all work. let them run for 5 mins. if they all work and get plenty of accepted shares then its a hub problem
112  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is the main wallet corrupt or altered? on: November 09, 2013, 11:24:32 PM
bitcoin.org has no reason to use https as nothing important is being sent or recived its just a link to sourceforge. https is only really used when private info is getting swapped usernames and passwords.

alsoon the bitcoin.org website it looks like the sizes are the wrong way round .zip sould be 9MB as its compressed and .exe should be 13MB as its raw and not compressed

overall the file is safe

could be a power issue give use the specs of the computer

also cardboard is ok for testing but a fire risk for the long haul. id recommend somethimg like a plastic lid off a box or a smooth wood surface. anything is good aslong as it isnt conductive. if you trying to run more than 3 gpus on 1 powersupply odds are thats what the buring smell is

we need more info

I'd be looking at Socket-G34 Opeterons.  You can get 12-core Magny-Cours chips on ebay for maybe $300 ea, and new dual-socket boards on newegg for maybe $400.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/AMD-Magny-Cours-6176-SE-2-3GHz-12M-Socket-Socket-G34-OS6176YETCEGO-/130876952518

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131643

You'll need a few other things of course, like RAM, a good quality power supply, etc.

You're planning to mine Primecoins with this, yes?

yep think you can even get 4 socket boards for the G34 range so youd have 48 cores all together. if your just mining and want to keep it basice then either a AM3+ Bulldozer or the newer intels

if its primecoin AMD are better for long stings (which pay better) or intel for shorter stings (font pay as much but you can do more)

Hello RW02  Cheesy

Newbie-ville here we are...

I have watched the price I think since it was at $160 or so, annoyed I did not invest at that time as I would have way more than what I have now, though we all get to a point where we start and me it was at like $250 with my first payment with Virwox and converting the SLL to BTC but paying with a Credit Card so all those conversions you sort of lose out.

I appreciate all your help! It is greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear with the 0 bitcoins.

im not that botherd about investing in it just like watching people get angry when it  goes up and cry when it goes down. iv been watching it since it was $20 over 2 years now

120  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: unconfirmed transaction on: November 09, 2013, 12:38:46 AM
sadly with no transaction fee it gets pushed to the bottom of the list it will be in a block with either a few transactions or where 2 blocks get mined very close together. it could take a while
