Hello,
I have a general question. Does anyone else work at Solarcoin? I have technical problems with my wallet (the blocks are not updated and therefore staking is not possible). I have reinstalled the wallet and also completely reloaded the blockchain. Some days or weeks everything works again, but then the wallet is not updated anymore. There are more and more blocks in backlog. Transfers are working though.
Several requests to the support were not answered. A ticket was created each time, but that was all.
There are also no new messages on the homepage. Is the project dead?
Currently the coins are only tradable on a few exchanges. Is there still hope for improvement here?
The wallet is a little finicky. If you can't get it to synch, locate the solarcoin data folder. %appdata%/solarcoin on windows, or the .solarcoin folder on linux, make a backup of the wallet.dat file and delete everything in the folder except the wallet.dat file. Reload the wallet, and reload the blockchain. It'll take a few minutes, might look like it's frozen but it's working. Also wait until the wallet is done synchronizing before entering your password. Yeah I know, it's clunky and could use a good rework.

any extra nodes out there? i'm having issues syncing my wallet for some time
Are you getting some connections, is the wallet just having trouble synchronizing at the end? The latter can be solved by re-scanning the wallet. You can grab the node list from https://chainz.cryptoid.info/slr/#!network if it's the former and toss the nodes in the solarcoin.conf file.

I need help....
I tried to access the application as solar energy producer.
The links in the OP are sending to deleted pages in the site.
The PDF doc explaining about the project is not providing a link to the application.
Then, the slack link I got does not provide a way to get an invite.
I would appreciate to have an easy way, no brainer, to have a person apply as producer.
thanks in advance
Is this what you're looking for? https://solarcoin.org/en/user/registeryep, in fact after my message, I searched again on the site and while starting registering, I understood that was the way now ;-) thanks. Perhaps it may be helpful to make even easier to understand that a new comer, producer will be able to register his installation by registering on the site ;-) My 2 SLR LOL! I agree. Solarcoin is still in it's pilot stage essentially. All the parts work, it's just unclear how to for new comers so far.

Is there any utility for people holding or buying SolarCoin rather than speculative purposes? If I understand correctly, Solarcoin rewards users for the amount of solar generated, which may increase selling pressure. I'm just wondering as someone who doesn't have access to renewable energy what the coins could be used for.
Read my past posts here, there are 33 Million PoW coin also which have effect on the market and I would think those holders have been paid off after the rise and fall last year. Which is why you see the price decline, that kind of profit taking has wiped out the incentive. Any new holders now have to support by hedging out of their positions. But again who would buy when all claims need to sell in order to support their investment in solar. It is the reason why they would claim. If you could use the coin to buy something it would be different but there is little market. There are other alternatives... It is all in my past posts... I think a new strategy would be to swap out the 98 Billion and start a new chain. You can pay off the investors and then do a masternode type scenario. This could also be done at the point of origin with a meter on the actual claim. It can't be gamed since the authority is the validator of the claim. You can also use Tokens for the claim which would be used to create the masternode. Could be a great comeback of SLR! Those 33 mill PoW coins are quickly becoming dwarfed by claims.

Hey guys, Brand new exchange being launched in Estonia in 69 days, free community voting, SLR has been listed, we need to get into top 20 to be listed FREE!!!! Great opportunity with a new exchange that targets a great region! https://aiodex.com/vote/coin/5b4c6ef7cbc22d02989fa5f0MAKE SURE YOU TAKE THE TIME TO REGISTER AND VOTE!!!!! The volume is a joke honestly at the moment, having a new exchange would not really benefit, being on Bittrex is good enough for exposure from that perspective I think? Can't hurt. But I see your point, at the moment it isn't needed. Though it may offer some additional markets in other countries that Bittrex can't service? Though that's just a guess.

Thanks! That did work but the backup was a month, is there a way to sync all those transactions in the last month? Only missing a few coins, so not a big deal if not.
Tools: Wallet repair: rescan blockchain files And your transactions should reappear.

Vault 3 Update!Upon releasing Vault 3.0.0 we noticed a few things that we didn't like, more specifically a connectivity problem in the Windows build - where new Vault 3.0.0 installs had issues finding peers quickly in the CBX network. We made a few changes and compiled the new version 3.0.1, and this takes care of these small issues: https://github.com/elambert2014/bullion/releases/tag/v3.0.1Enjoy! Thanks! I got 4 connections now and am just waiting for my first stake now. It seems to be taking forever to sync, I was wondering if that bootstrap blockchain button would speed up the process. In my experience, if you're going to be syncing for some time like when you sync from scratch, try to keep less connections (use the connect= argument to, say, two peers) as too many peers tend to bombard your machine with unnecessary duplicated blocks that will still undergo some validations. And yes, the bootstrap button will get you ready to stake tipically in a few minutes/hours, depending on internet speed and CPU. Okay the bootstrap worked but now I need to upload my wallet backup file. How do I do that? Few ways to do this. On windows the directory can be accessed through windows key + r %appdata%/bullion. On linux systems the directory will be in your .bullion hidden folder. Copy a copy of your wallet.dat into one of the appropriate folders and you're in business. You can also import a private key if you've backed up your wallet on paper.

Should I sell my house to get money buy CLO, then american dream will come true to me? Yes. I did. I'm typing this from the wi-fi in the McDonald's parking lot in a van down by the river. Your motivational speech has convinced me to mortgage the house.

Four days now with the open wallet and several thousands coins of stakes and no stakes collected so far. At the same time, the staking icon inside the wallet is telling me: expected time to earn interest: 4 minutes. That's a bit strange...
Match the current wallet block to the blockchain. If they don't match, rescan your wallet. Sometimes the wallet gets a little odd when it restarts.

Linux wallet is not possible to sync. Tried many things, but nothing helped. Headers sync stuck on 37%. Also the development of wallet is almost non existent. I may have to sell the coins and leave project as I'm not capable to have a wallet on Linux.
There's a new wallet in development. It's not been released yet. You can always use Coinomi if Linux is being finicky. It's available for both android and iPhone. You can and should save your private key from Coinomi. There's a write up somewhere to get the wallet compiled and working on a raspberry pi also, as well there should be an option to reload the blockchain in the wallet app which will download the current block height. Thank you. The wallet for android is not going to help me as I'm running the wallet for staking, but I tested it and it has nice support for many coins. That may come handy. Is there any ETA on the new wallet release? I will hold to my coins without staking until the new wallet is out. It's true Solarcoin won't actively stake in Coinomi, however they do accrue stake time while not staking. When you import the private key from Coinomi they should begin to stake at an accelerated rate until the coin age hits an equilibrium. Notice I said "should." I have noticed extracting the private key from Coinomi can be a challenge. I'd experiment with a small amount until you can operate the extraction with confidence.

Hi,
I have a good supply of CLO, constantly mining from the start. I am selling some for a very competitive price. Not scam, I will send CLO first, in small batches, of course. My discord is Argel Tal#3410. Have few successful trades already.
Add me and message me, I will get back to you in 24 hours.
Good luck!
Sent to which place, fella? Yobit disable Callisto transaction for a long period of time. I know that. I will send them to your ETC wallet. I am selling at price of 0.10$ per coin. Better not send them to an ETC wallet. CLO is its own token, on its own network.

Pretty sure the hashrate on the coin is not 900 gh/s aswell, minerpool has 18 gh/s and pool sexy has 5.71 gh/s
yet the network is showing 900 gh/s+ w/e all pools avalible having 25 gh/s,
you're saying 880 gh/s is done elsewhere? complete nonsense.
2miners has 530 gh/s, I'd believe those numbers.
