41  Economy / Economics / Re: Have people become wealthy before, like with bitcoin? on: June 07, 2014, 03:24:36 PM
the doubts of this happening are high
dogecoin to $1?

We could only imagine what would happen to fiat currency

If any of the events occurred, we could expect immediate adaption to digital currency.
42  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Introducing Hive, a beautiful new wallet for Mac OS X on: June 07, 2014, 03:18:11 PM
Alright, alright... But let's do something a little better than those wallets.

Brilliant!!!

Is this the JS version you are working on? Does it work this well on mobile?

If it is this good, they'll definitely be the most preferred choice on ios

Yep! One thing though. Will there be a login/registration system for hive js?
You would thinks so
Maybe an identifier number like blockchain or something?

I guess so. An alias option would be good as well!

That would most likely be the way it would work

44  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is it possible to fabricate a blockchain ? on: June 05, 2014, 01:54:35 AM
Yes, timestamps can be forged.

If someone was careful enough and had plenty of fakes nodes, they could fabricate such a thing.

But what about the difficulty of the proof of work, considering it is high, wouldn't it require massive amount of computer power to fabricate it ?
Yes it would...
It hasn't been dome before simply because it requires this much power
45  Other / Off-topic / What do you think about iOS8? on: June 05, 2014, 01:49:31 AM

47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if someday Bitcoin Foundation votes to remove 21M limitation? on: June 05, 2014, 01:13:25 AM
The Bitcoin Foundation cannot simply change Bitcoin.

They are able to propose a change to the code of Bitcoin, however the miners must approve the changes in order for it to be adopted.

In the past the changes have been deemed "a good idea" and "good for bitcoin" so they have been approved by the miners (via a hardfork in the blockchain)
How many miners would have to agree?
The main pool owners? Miners themselves?

50  Other / Off-topic / Re: God is Reality on: June 05, 2014, 12:34:12 AM
I like these threads - lets me know which accounts not to take seriously when they post.

God is the universe vod.  You are part of the universe.  To not believe in god is to believe in negativity, falsity and basically satan, that which is a negatively opposite god.

Coming from a former atheist.

You are one account that nobody takes seriously when you post.  You ignore reality.  Your god and satan do not exist to normal, sane people.

You seem to take me quite seriously considering you constantly follow me around and troll me.

God is positivity, satan is negativity.  Love, hate.  Light, dark.  Soul, ego.  Everything, nothing.  etc.

If those don't exist then perhaps you should tap into your mind a little further.

And the 90% of the world that believes in god.  I guess they're all just crazy for believing in love and not worshiping matter.

I have to say this was a pretty good post
Hope I don't get neg trusted for agreeing with dank in off topic section
51  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: I found a block but only transaction it contains is the 25 BTC mining award??? on: June 05, 2014, 12:33:03 AM
I am curious, can someone run a quick script and find out the number of blocks that have no transactions?  Would be an interesting statistic/graph, especially displayed over time (% empty vs time).  I expect this was more common in the early days, less common now.  More common a while back when there was a botnet doing it on purpose, etc.
doesnt sound to complicated to create
All you need is the blockchain API, right?
Make a thread!

Maximize merchant blocks, recontextualize volatile infrastructures and synthesize transparent exchanges. Simple as that.
So much sense
Known fact
54  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: I found a block but only transaction it contains is the 25 BTC mining award??? on: June 05, 2014, 12:18:33 AM

60  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price vs. hash rate? on: June 04, 2014, 10:17:44 PM
Price and hash rate are related but sometimes, for example after a bubble peak, they can diverge.

As in the hash rate goes higher and the price goes down?
