1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: would you invest in IEO instead of ICO projects? on: June 01, 2019, 06:01:07 AM
IEOs are now trending. Majority are abandoning ICOs for IEO project. is really worth it, are you also going to abandon ICO for IEO?
ICO or IEO doesn't matter if i gain a minimum of 10% profit. Scams can be in both version of gathering campaign so the risks is mostly the same.
What risk are you talking about in IEO, I don’t think we have heard of any IEO scam for now, so as far as IEO from top exchanges is concerned, we still have zero scam till further notice, most investor of IEO have been positive review about their experience compared to how bitter they have been with ICo.

For now, they cannot both have the same risk, although I don’t dispute the fact that it will be possible in future because of these other exchanges that will not do much due diligent like binance and Bittrex to register the projects they have, which may make them register scam projects too and start giving IEO bad record.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook shitty coin. Facebook selling information of their customers on: June 01, 2019, 05:29:45 AM
Of course, data confidentiality should come first for any company. But what do we see in reality? Mobile operators sell databases, sometimes it seems that even banks spread information about the contact information of their users. If Facebook adapts cryptocurrency payments, it will only help its rating. There previously were much info that Facebook confidentiality = zero, everyone can buy user's password, what r we gonna see if they launch crypto payment?
Joining the blockchain industry still will not change the fact that they have zero rating when it comes to people’s confidentiality, which is why I do not completely trust their use of cryptocurrency too to run their business because it will be absolutely impossible for Facebook to create a decentralized coin.

This coin they are creating will be another centralized coin that will not protect people’s details or keep it anonymous, so I really don’t see the need for people to accept the coin. If you see that I support Facebook coin today, Is just because I am hoping it will create awareness for people who would like to invest in BTC.
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you define a good exchange? on: May 31, 2019, 10:54:15 AM
in my opinion a good and good exchange presents a lot of factors including the volume of sales, the number of coins listed and the low fees that can be a good exchange and attract many investors or traders to be there.
The trading volume can be manipulated, it cannot be a factor that makes an exchanger a good exchanger. so I continue to argue that security and service for 24 hours a day is the most important thing in an exchanger to be said to be good.
That could be true, I read an article about that and I like to share it here, you can refer to the link below.

https://www.theblockcrypto.com/2019/05/28/up-to-86-of-total-reported-cryptocurrency-trading-volume-is-likely-fake-according-to-analysis-of-exchange-website-visits/

That would mean only few exchanges in the market are reputable, and we should trust them over the questionable exchanges.
The record I saw recently shows that we have only 10 exchanges with reliable figures, which means the remaining ones are being manipulated at one point, though it doesn’t mean that all the volume are typically fake, but at least 40 to 60% of it are fake. There are some of the exchanges that has finally convinced people through that and gotten at least 90% of real volume.

This practice is a very bad one because it misleads investors, but at the same time, I would not completely judge them since the only way to encourage people is through volume, we trader’s likes to stick with volume more than the exchanges features, so we deserve what we get sometimes.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A shocking truth! on: May 31, 2019, 10:15:21 AM
Well it depends on the coin and the term of the investment, buying a strong coin immediately is good, if the price go down it tend to go up in the long term, but if you buy weak coin then need to be careful because once it drop it could be hard to gain momentum, nobody could predict correctly 100% when is the bottom, but by learning indicators and market situation it could help us to determine where will be the bottom
Indicators only work for coins that are active in the market, no matter how deep you learn to use indicator, it just would not work for some coins, the only coins I have been able to successfully used indicators for which I believed had bottomed already long time ago and now on their bull run is Bitcoin and Ethereum, those are the only coins I trust indicators to work for.

I have so many weak coins in my portfolio that I have tried using indicator for but didn’t work and now they look like shitcoin for me already while Some other altcoins we desire to invest in can only be bought with faith, believing that they had already bottomed.
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [HELP] I need help and advice on: May 31, 2019, 09:40:36 AM
I think you are looking to succeed at something no one has ever succeed before in the entire worlds history.
Nobody in the entire world managed to make 10% a day in any way or shape for too many days in a row, they have managed to do it maybe couple times in a row, but nobody did it for too many days in a row.

Even the richest man in the world at one point Warren Buffet who made his fortunes by investing and managed to get worth as much as over 60 billion dollars (don't know how much now) didn't made that type of return, he was making about 20% a year return on average for 50 years in a row.

It means if you want to make money and become rich, no amount is too little but if you want to become one of the richest man alive all you have to do is keep doing it years after years instead of trying to do it quickly in couple months, instead of 10% a day, do 20% a year for 50 years and your children will be richer than anyone in the world.
Quite right, no one can ever make up to that 10% in a day constantly and even the so called pro traders would not dare boast of meeting up with that target on their trade daily, is target is actually too high and no matter how volatile the market is, I think the amount I can really guarantee in a day is 2% and highest should be around 4% if he is scalp trading.

The best way he would have really made it is to work with 2% in a day, then be compounding it and adding it up to his investment to increase his chance of winning higher when he accumulates his profit, or better still, he should just continue to hold and maybe luck will shine on his trading coin and make it increase by 300% within the month which has already covered all the daily wishes.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why The Excitement for IEOs? on: May 31, 2019, 07:43:44 AM
IEO is a new concept which unlike ICO. The difference is on the participation of IEO you will get your token credited instantly to your wallet which was not in the ICO. Also, you have to wait for traded the coin After ICO by waiting the listing of the coin in exchanges. But after IEO you will get to sell your coin after the finish of the token sale.
In as much as IEO has its full benefit than ICO, it has its own bad side effect too, it makes the project vulnerable to dumping immediately because the reason why the investors they got participated is to get profit from their investment and not because they so much desire to stay with the project.

If you look at it, people that will get involved more in IEO are mostly whales, who has the money to buy this projects coin in large quantity while they leave the rest to few innocent ones who would not get the chance to withdraw their money by the time the whales strikes by dumping immediately they get the desired profit level.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DOES IEO PROTECT BOUNTY HUNTERS ? on: May 31, 2019, 07:13:17 AM
no, i think IEO prefered to protect investor not bounty hunter, as i know my friend participated in bounty campaign and this campaign launch IEO and the exchanger make rules for not running bounty campaign for the project, that's why IEO not proteting the bounty hunter but Investor
it is only for some rules of exchange, not all exchanges provide the same rules. many projects also carried out the IEO and continued to run their bounty campaigns. but it does not guarantee that the bounty will be paid, because I think the IEO or ICO will still remain the same.
Are you really sure that we have project that run these two same time, as in IEO and ICO, because for them to involve hunters, they must have been running ICO too which is to get investment directly from investors unlike the way exchanges gets the fund for the IEO projects before remitting to them I think.

Most IEO bounties that I have seen or which I will say we call IEO bounties are just some few projects that chose to later change their funding method to IEO and I learnt from this forum that they usually close bounty campaign once they make registration on IEO platforms. I don’t think IEO projects really needs hunter or do you think they do?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin halvening price speculation? on: May 31, 2019, 06:42:14 AM
Litecoin price not only depends on the halvening but also depends on the state of the bitcoin market, if the bitcoin can exceed the price of 11k and the possibility of up to 20k will be easier and litecoin may exceed $ 250 ..
I totally agree with your opinion, aside halving of litecoin coming soon, the coin will still get its value from bitcoin pump since it still belongs to the group of coins at the top 20 market, so the potential to reach higher value is there, so I don’t know what is making people think litecoin won’t increase when it has not turned to a shitcoin yet, although their performance has been a bit low lately after the bitcoin big dump from the last ATH, but there is always room for improvement and I am sure they are also not folding their arms, but will surely be trying their best too to keep up to expectation.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IS IT POSSIBLE THAT ALL ALTCOINS IN THE FUTURE WILL BE BITCOIN HARD FORKS????? on: May 31, 2019, 06:09:54 AM
Just reading about the next Bitcoin Hardfork coming up in July. It's being billed as a Reverse Bitcoin Hardfork (RBH)? WTF Cry Huh

Thoughts? Is this even possible???
I have never heard of this coin before and even if I eventually get to know about it, I am not sure it will be of any interest or use to me. We really need to be very careful with our investment, we should stop tying cryptocurrency to investment alone, because this is what makes us dig these coins out and pay attention to them.

We already have bitcoin which I don’t think has disappointed anyone in whatever they wishes to use it for, be it investment or as payment processor, so someone should please tell me why these coins are getting popular when they have not come to add any additional benefit to the cryptocurrency market, other than to take people’s investment, tie it down for long and run away with it.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A New Bitcoin Rival Is Coming? on: May 31, 2019, 05:39:21 AM
This is nothing to be compared to bitcoin how can it possibly happen that the Facebook coin will be another bitcoin simply because Facebook is the team behind it, and again on the regulatory status it does not happen like that government have laws and to get a regulatory framework for a crypto coin is not that easy so many coins have tried to achieve the full regulations but have not succeeded. Any way we will keep looking out for how the coin will perform in the market.

If facebook will going to be the one to manage their so-called coin, then there is a higher chance that it will going to be regulated. They will just going to make sure they have their own blockchain to manage their coin well. And what I can see in there, is a great market adoption that will going to happen. We just need to wait and see what it is capable of.
Who else do you think will be managing the coin other than Facebook, you can see that bitcoin has tried everything possible to enjoy the monopoly they have for social media platforms which they already succeed in achieving, because as of now, they have most social media users and most of the social media platforms.

This blockchain industry they have entered, I am sure they will also try to use their influence to monopolies it by creating a regulated coin and then presenting the solution to the government which government will really support because this has been what government wanted all along.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO is popular, what do you think? Will you participate? on: May 31, 2019, 05:04:46 AM
Well i start think to invest on some IEO, but first i will have to check better, and i think on Binance i will chose one after i do some research, but i will not invest a lot maybe a bit more than minimum possible.
The fact is that today IEO is the best alternative to ico company.  In any case, trade exchanges provide certain guarantees for investors who are trying to invest their money in new coins.  But here you need to make the right choice of the trading exchange, because here we are talking about the safety of your funds.  I’m worried about the latest negative news about Binance, where hackers stole about 7,000 Bitcoins.

Binance's loss of 7000 BTC has been resolved long ago and BNB has had a dump of about $ 18. However, the current price of BNB is $ 33.x, almost doubling from that incident. Rest assured because Binance is now one of the largest and safest crypto companies
I am not even sure it was even the FUD news that binance value responded to then that made them dump, during that period, most coin dumped too as bitcoin dropped it price and since most altcoins including binance follows Bitcoin price movement too aside its own product, the all went on correction stage.

Binance never reacted to the hacking, which shoes how much their community believe and trusted their system. When the hacking news came, people believe that they had it under control which they did, by already making provision for SAFU funds in case of things like this happens. If they can handle those cases easily, then I think their IEO project is safer than the rest.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 51btc won in a day on: May 30, 2019, 11:02:10 AM
Oh my gosh that is very big amount of money it cost around 400,000 dollars to the current value of the bicoin but the amount they bet is very high than his won and that is risky and once they lose and he will cry for sure. In one bet that is very big amount. But he is still lucky but incase I have that amount of bitcoin I will not bet all that but I think he is  millionaire or billionaire because they have that amount.
So you would stop gambling if you won mere 400,000 dollars,  I know that the money is huge though but at least if you are a passionate gambler, you will not stop gambling for any amount, you could at least even hope to win more, this is the difference between people who have passion for gambling and those who just gamble because everyone else is doing it

I think the reason why most people don’t make it big in gambling is because of these kind of mindset, they have already planned in their minds to stop gambling once they win big money, so winning would now be far from them. It better to plan to remain in the game no matter the amount won.
I am always pissed at comments like these and I would try as much as I can to be nice with my response. What benefit does gambling offer precisely that should make any one passionate, how do you mean by being a passionate gambler? 400,000 dollars never to gamble is a great prize, I would accept an offer far less than that.

How do you expect a player who keeps losing money to a casino site to remain loyal and passionate, gambling is only there for gambling operators to become richer, there is no plan for players and you don’t expect loyalty from a loser .people don’t lose in gambling because of mindset, there are a lot of people with good gambling plans and yet get fucked up, it’s a game of luck and the luck is more with the industry.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is needed for a gambler to the success? on: May 30, 2019, 10:28:29 AM
Maybe we need to realize that we cannot make a success story in the gambling game, we can prevent from playing gambling every day or every week so we can prevent from losing the money. The more money we can save from gambling, the more success we can keep that money, and I will call that is a big success for us. We can save more money, especially when we can hold ourselves not to think about the games.
I beg to disagree, we can make success stories and as a matter of fact there have been a lot of success stories already in gambling. The only requirement is people learning the right methods to play and follow the simple rules that can make gamblers successful players

In my opinion, those players that would always establish a win goal before playing would always come out successful than the regular players without a plan, also it is better to start gambling with a sizeable bankroll, anyone who goes into without enough money will always be second guessing every step they try to make.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What importance is kyc In gambling section on: May 30, 2019, 09:47:31 AM
~snip~
It is a choice for a gambler to do KYC or not, it is our call also to keep our identity still anonymous to everybody or not.
But I've never thought that gambling site will highly required players to do so cause they'll know what possibly will result giving the doubts that they'll be using it into other activities. That's is commonly a question for everyone submitting KYC and it for sure, not a guarantee that it will keep safeguard to their funds.
This is something will play in my mind and some gambling sites will do require KYC before we can withdraw our funds.  I'm will not be going to worried of submitting my KYC especially when we know the intention is good.
You're probably be right,  it is our personal discretion if we give it or not, nothing forcing us to give though.
Exactly. It’s optional and that is the reason I would not even play on a KYC site to start with. As a matter of fact, I think there are more sites that do not ask for KYC than the ones who do. I  can see that you have no problems with KYC because you are putting the reason behind the implementation into consideration but have you given a second though on what impact that could be on you if your information is leaked out?

I personally feel that the time I spend in filling the KYC is a waste, could be used on better things and in some site with poor service provider, there is tendency for delay in verifying the identification.

Bitcoin never disappoints,,, so what exactly are you talking about, have you not been around long enough? Wink Bitcoin always goes down after a high, but that is only to let us buy more cheap Bitcoin. Then when it goes up we can all be a nice part of it and enjoy the ride. Even altcoins love this.

OK video I will say, but nothing surprising for us to be honest Wink
LOL, you are right there, I think bitcoin is still the most predictable coin and like you said, whenever there is an increase, there will always be a decrease and vice versa which makes it easy for us to even trade without making use of analysis, analysis is only good for intraday traders and for people who trades based on hourly market.

For a long term trader who wishes to do a quick short-term trade, I think without analysis, once can just watch out for when the price corrects from a big pump and then buy, to wait again for when the price increases to take profit. His video will be more helpful for those who trade daily or weekly.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Intraday vs HODL on: May 30, 2019, 07:53:33 AM
For now, i think i am happy with day trading because the few time i have tried it, i think it really give a very good profit, it just depend on the amount of money one is using to trade.
Can you share some ideas on how you are finding day trading to be more profitable? I know that day trading needs a lot of determination and daily work but long term hodl is also good. But I would definitely like to see some sort of a demonstration of the profit that you speak of. That is if you ever read this comment. Cheesy

Not only stocks, everywhere it is impossible for us to predict them in the market. Some times it is impossible for us to sell them because the price of a coin may increase even higher value and sometimes we might miss the boat like what was happened in 2017. So it is always good to set your goals before purchasing and selling your coins.
An upcoming news will push the market. This is a bullish indicator. While a hack or closing down of an ETF will be bearish on the market. These are some things that you can use to predict. Overall just keep both bitcoin and fiat ready whenever you are hodling. Buy or sell as per the market movements.

I also find day trading more profitable because its helps me accumulate more coins for further investment. Though it is not every day that the market witnesses green, but those days they do help me sell high and at the same time buy low when it dips back. This is how I have been compounding the profits to invest more in bitcoin and other altcoins I didn’t have the opportunity to invest in due to lack of cash to do so.

If one keeps compounding this way, as you grow with bitcoin for its long term holding, you are also taking profit to keep increasing ones holding. This practice is a little bit risky though for those who doesn’t know how to read chart and also not for those who are leveraging.
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit my job to do full-time crypto-trading on: May 30, 2019, 07:18:41 AM
It's a very brave management, I hope you can be lucky in the two crypto trading and don't regret your decision
Brave it is and if the things he have said is true then good for him. Just don't like the idea of quitting our full time job for this trading crypto thing where uncertainty is very high. He might regret later his decision.
Trading generally is for those that can take risk in which the risk can really be worth it in future and for one to really be full time trader, one must definitely quite any job to concentrate on the trade because it requires lots of attention and concentration to be able to trade successfully.

Although before one can confidently quite job for trading, the level of understanding and skills developed must have been so high, otherwise the person would just be shooting himself in the leg by quitting without deep knowledge. Like me now, I am very good at trading but cannot dare leave my job as I still make trade mistakes sometimes.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never Give up in crypto (my experience) on: May 30, 2019, 06:47:18 AM
I joined crypto last year as a noob, then started learning how to trade & do  airdrops. I kept learning until I decided to start trading myself. I got rekt on several occasions yet I kept the fire burning. I became tired of the hustle after buying into a coin which was delisted causing a massive dip, I had put in 5000$ in that coin and it turned 600$ overnight. Then I decided to take a bow.

I was encouraged by my mentor not to give up, I took it as a cock and bull story initially, I created a bitcointalk account later, scrolling through some forums just reading and learning from pro in crypto space. I decided to give it a second one try.

I added a few coins to my portfolio and abandoned them. Recently I got sacked from my job for no justifiable reason, then the only thing I could think about is crypto. I checked my portfolio yesterday, my 600$ then turned 7200$. Please always be patient. Buy into coins with great future , give it time, never panic sell. I hope you learn from my experience.
This is amazing and it is very encouraging.
That notwithstanding, you should not because you have got such profit from cryptocurrency, now depend solely on it. That will be a wrong decision. Try to invest in something different from cryptocurrency, so as to have plan B or something to fall back on when the need be.
This is my goal too for now, to raise funds through my crypto investment in other to establish a real life working projects. I have very great business idea, and Since I don’t have the capacity to raise fund through ICO, I think raising fund through crypto investment will still work.

One more thing I have also learnt from op is that he was patient and never gave up, despite the fact he was seeing his initial dyeing coins, but as we can see that with time, the coins picked up for him unexpectedly, so a lot of us who are feeling to anxious right now should just calm down, because anxiety is what leads people to panics sell.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So when are you buying?? on: May 30, 2019, 06:10:58 AM
You saw this potential coin last week. The price was rising, you made up your mind to buy later so you created a thread here with the subject "is it a good time to buy?". 3 days ago, you checked up on the coin again and it has increased by 20%, you were still doubting if its the right time to buy. Today the coin has increased by 50% of the initial price you saw and you are getting more confused. My friend take this from me, in crypto, it always now or never. Happy trading to you all!
It is good to have the right word, because when you have the right word you will be able to express some certain things exactly the way it happens. I think we have all in one way of the other been a victim of indecision, and it is really not so easy mate.

Everyone is being careful not to make the mistake of buying at peak, and you know that this market is an unpredictable market where you may find it difficult to really know when a market has really peaked or bottomed, except maybe the coins is a new coin, or the coin is among these top 20 coins. I trading, it is more difficult to decide an entry point or exit point, even when you mix it with TA.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: can someone explain to me the motive behind airdrops? on: May 30, 2019, 05:27:53 AM
I'm still wondering why developers will organize airdrops and distribute an amount of tokens which is far lesser than the minimum amount of the tokens that can be deposited on an exchange for trading. If you don't want the users to cash out the money, why do you let them waste their time?

I think the purpose of airdrop is to fill their social media with crowd of peoples.
The more peoples join and supporting the project, the more investors will be attracted to investing.
Airdrop participants can hold their token for better value in the future if they cannot deposit it due low value.
Airdrop is not even supposed to be in large quantity, it’s just a small token distributed free to create further awareness, if they spend all the project money on campaign, how do we then expect the project to survive, so I wonder why people complain on things like this.

Airdrop is free and some doesn’t really demand much from one to have access to, and since it’s free and little, the receiver can further invest in it if he or she finds the project interesting, or like you said.
Just continue holding till the coin gain a special value in future, by the time he counts the number of airdrop he has, and he would be amazed at what they are capable of gaining in future.
