121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN 101 on: March 12, 2015, 03:03:04 PM
Wow OP, you couldn't pick a more updated Infographic?!!   Huh

I mean the 10mill Bitcoins mined, cost of 1 BTC = $30, cost of a mining rig costs $3k, Market Cap only 300 mill....geez way to downplay us Bitcoiners back to early 2013, man!

At least use a more recent Infographic:

It's not quite 2015 up to date stats, but at least we're in the right ballpark!

Cheers chuck for a minute there ii thought i was in a time warp back a few years, as always the man with the graphics comes threw yes they are usually different pictures but at least this wrong has been put right.

Op you could have stated to begin this is to take a trip down memory lane then it would have been a good visual but you spoiled it now  Angry
122  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: March 12, 2015, 02:20:08 PM
This question is usually left to the newbies not a sr, have you just brought that account or did you forget to create a shill  Wink

Bitcoin is dead when no new money comes in to it, no development, no more transactions, investments the price does not really matter in the scheme of things only to those that are in for a quick buck.

Cheers up op you sound so gloomy
123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wall Street To Bitcoin: Does It Really Matter? on: March 12, 2015, 02:15:02 PM
I noticed that more and more EX/Former Wall Street guys are taking their talents to Bitcoin-related businesses.

http[Suspicious link removed]c-blythe-masters-swaps-wall-street-for-bitcoin/

I mean..Bitcoin was built in the first place to avoid these guys..
I don't think it is too important that this is happening, but it also isn't a bad thing.
With the DOW and NASDAQ at all time highs, bonds yielding nothing and the USD crazy strong, they are struggling to invest in anything that has a lot of potiential.

That and that banks are being more tightly regulated, whereas Bitcoin isn't yet, so they can get away with ripping everyone off for a while before getting caught again!

So in short they have came to make sure bitcoin is regulated sooner than it otherwise was going to be lol bitcoin could have done without these guys but everyone is welcome here including the scum of the financial world and anyone else who feels like coming along to rob as much as they can  Lips sealed
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tx fees if Bitcoin will reach 100k $ on: March 12, 2015, 12:51:52 PM
If everyone don't add bitcoin to transaction fee / just add only 1 satoshi
Miners don't have choice & have to accept it

Even now, there are some transaction with very low fee / no fee but miners still accept it

These transactions are usually delayed hours and even days..

Why would they delay them when they are getting more than they get now i mean if this is the theory that 1 satoshi is $1 surely they will be making more money than they do now mining? What am i missing? lol
125  Economy / Speculation / Re: You will HODL until?...... on: March 12, 2015, 12:44:15 PM
I would sell my Bitcoins if the price drops to only double an Alt-coin I trust. Then I am going all in with the Alt-coin. How about you?

The opposite i will follow this baby to the ends of the earth, if that is $1 then i am there with thousands of coins if it is 1000, 10,000, + i am there with enough to work for just myself  Cool  If you believe in something you go all out! If you do not believe you quit both ways are the only way for that person at that time..
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: whats the most creative way of keeping bitcoins in cold storage on: March 12, 2015, 11:58:09 AM
Paper burns, what is a super creative way of keeping cold storage?

For a large amount that i wanted with me everywhere i would have a uv tattoo somewhere very painful but safe  Grin
127  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinDesk launches the Deals page with no BTC prices? on: March 12, 2015, 11:07:22 AM
Coindesk accepting just USD here  Shocked Now that is just stupid but i have seen that a few times the last was a online shop selling bitcoin products but only accepted USD it's laughable to even think they would bother!?

Is it not easier to accept Bitcoin anyway why the wait and why start a Bitcoin business in USD it is beyond me it really is lol
128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Would You Have Bid For The USMS Seized BTCs? on: March 12, 2015, 12:46:36 AM
I believe that anybody that would have bid below-market or at-market rates would not have won the auction. The alternative of buying 50,000 coins on the exchanges would drive the price way up, so bidders were already willing to pay at least market rate. In fact, it is possible that the recent rise is the result of auction losers buying on exchanges.

The same goes for them selling if they 50,000 they would have got a lot less than market price would they not?

Also if i wanted 50k bitcoins then i could get them at market you would set the buy walls across multiple exchanges and they would get filled in a couple of weeks max without affecting the price.

Who ever brought them at or above market the govt would have seen them coming lol Stolen property brought at a premium  Grin

129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: T-Mobile, only a promotion? on: March 11, 2015, 11:06:45 PM

131  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sub $200 by Tomorrow on: March 11, 2015, 05:50:44 PM
So a new account with 1 post calls us all "bull-tards" and "bag holders", confidently tells us the future price then disappears. lol

Thanks for the warning.  Roll Eyes

He obviously was not to confident to begin with creating a new account probably a high rank account he chose to not tarnish with such predictions  Cheesy

He wrote  "because no one bought&hold big amount of bitcoins when bitcoin crashed from $700 to $300 when there were 10,000,000 bitcoins dumped on market" Where did you get your stats from dude?

I will leave questions for 'if' you return anytime, chances are you will be back in a month if by some terrible luck we went sub 200 so until sub200

see ya  Grin

132  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How is currency exchange like this legal? on: March 11, 2015, 04:40:03 PM
How is this legal? I thought it would be at best a very dark shade of grey because of money laundering laws

Have you asked yourself that same question about fiat? I mean after all it is just paper with no value so why would that be legal but this illegal. It has restrictions in a lot of countrys that are trying to prevent money laundering but to be honest there are more methods of laundering than bitcoin as it is just a drop in the ocean, now the banks are the real players  Grin
133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Research into opinions on Bitcoin on: March 11, 2015, 04:29:52 PM
Pretty sure people would participate in a survey and even more would if there was some kind of payment for the troubles i have to add i would not need payment but others would be more up to it if there was, just my opinion of course.

Yes to user and yes i am an enthusiast i love bitcoin and what it can bring to the world and i think you will get the majority who feel the same or similar.

I trade because of the volatility leaves room for profit every single day not much some days but always a profit to be made.

Welcome and good luck with your survey.

139  Economy / Economics / Re: USA is now number 2 on: March 11, 2015, 02:15:26 PM
From the number 1 spot there is only one way to go...down.

I wonder if India will take the top spot next?

I read recently that India is basically going for broke i mean they are going to end up #2 by the looks of it they are booming so who knows.

That's what happens when you get greedy as businesses and send your business it over to these country's you will drain your own country for a quick profit they was warned that this would happen as well but as usual they do not listen

Angry
140  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] Scratch a Bitcoin on: March 11, 2015, 01:53:04 PM
I like the idea it is nice and basic i mean who does not enjoy a go on the scratch cards now and again, i do i am not a huge gambler but i do the lottery and use scratchcards  Cheesy

I would strongly recommend that you lower the limit to play this game and maybe add a faucet if that is not to much trouble would be good for the guys who do not have much to their name.

Well done though and if you sort them little things it may pick up quite a bit.
