381  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] LocalBitcoins.com - a location-based bitcoin to cash marketplace on: December 29, 2013, 12:40:48 PM
Not sure if it's just for the UK Locale but the Sell Bitcoins! advert list isn't working right. The top 8 adverts are not being sorted correctly they are currently in this order:
70
40
66
54
39
10
68
65
Then at this point corrects to sort how it should (High price's at the top)
95
90
90
89
80
79
etc...

so for some reason the top 8 adverts seem locked in place when some of them should be right at the bottom of the list. It's annoying for me as i am posting an advert for a higher amount than all the top 8 people but my advert is 24 places from the top. Also as of posting this you can buy bitcoins on the buy page for around £82, so all the offers above that are probably inactive/dead adverts or crazy people:P

The buy page is working normally though (cheapest adverts at the top).

Has anyone seen a response to this because the problem still occurs?
382  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: December 28, 2013, 05:58:05 PM
WWAN not accepting remote login
the eth1(WAN) setup fine, luci & SSH login fine.
I set additional Wifi(WWAN) & firewall(WAN/WWAN), the internet link is fine & hashing can confirm by pool. how ever I can not get login if only wifi is connected. both web page (luci) & ssh login did not have response from antminer.
anyone have idea? Huh

I have no idea, but if it's any consolation, myself and others have run into similar behavior with the WWAN interface.

I've not been able to properly configure the WWAN's on any of my Antminers Sad Afraid I'm going to hose the network settings and not be able to get back into the device if I screw something up while troubleshooting Sad

Seeing the same as you; not able to access config over WIFI, only via WAN.

I have a couple of the next batch of Antminers on order that I understand now have a factory reset button - I'll troubleshoot further once I have that safety net available.

Same problem, although I have found that wrt doesn't like having both wireless and Ethernet on the same subnet but even with different subnets the problem still occurs.

in case you miss my update, my wifi/WWAN login did works (back to live) after I power-off and power-on cycle.
but seems using REBOOT command(ssh) or bottom(web UI) would not enough.

I have tried with a power cycle, and did it again just in case I screwed it up first time, I just end up timing out at the Lua LuCi Interface black screen before you can login. Would you care to share your /etc/config/network file?

Hi,

I dont think this group buy is going to work since we havent funded 33 btc for the box.

.....

Tips are not required but are greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a joyful new year!

That is a real shame, you tried cxboyminer, learn from it and move on. Ignore the shits that are slating you as they were not brave enough to do it themselves.

Have a BTC tip from me (tx ...f76a) and have a good New Year.
384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin under attack in India on: December 27, 2013, 06:24:20 PM
is this mean bitcoin are illegal in india?
Bitcoins are not illegal in India. The act of using any store of value to transfer funds out of India and bypass regulatory and capitol control laws is illegal.

That makes running any service illegal in India that accepts Bitcoin !!! Is it so ?

No, you can run a business in India that accepts Bitcoin as payment provided you pay your taxes and abide by any laws and regulatory requirements.

We have found that through the website 400 persons have recorded 1,000 transactions that amount to a few crores of rupees. We are gathering the data of the transactions, name of the people who have transacted in the virtual currency from Gupta’s server that is hired in the US. At present, we believe that this is a violation of foreign exchange regulations of the country. If we are able to establish money laundering aspect then he can be arrested

Your post is misleading, it is not Bitcoin but Gupta that is breaking the laws of India.

389  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FIXED] My both Antminers stopped working !!! on: December 27, 2013, 10:02:45 AM
I've been nagging them to post their firmware sources since they started shipping products so I could fix it and I guess they've been too busy.

Is that not a violation of GPL? Both cgminer and openwrt are GPL'd...

Good luck with someone suing them through the Chinese courts  Wink

We should start a 24 hour payment countdown; so that people need to pay within the next 24hours otherwise their spot becomes available.

That way we can get it rapped up fast and USBs on their way.

OK

24h payment countdown starts now!

START:
HK TIME- 15:30 26 DEC
UK TIME- 07:30 26 DEC
CENTRAL- 01:30 26 DEC
EASTERN- 02:30 26 DEC
MOUNTAIN- 00:30 26 DEC
PACIFIC- 23:26 25 DEC (merry christmas)
ANCKORAGE- 22:30 25 DEC (merry christmas)
HONOLULU- 21:30 25 DEC (merry christmas)

Well that's going to be awkward, it's the holiday season and I am at the other end of the country visiting family to my paper wallets. Angry
You will have to give me some grace here and I expect that there will be others in a similar position.

393  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Multi GPU setup on older chipset board on: December 26, 2013, 09:29:49 AM
I have an older P43 + ICH10 chipset board, which has 4 PCIe x1 slots. Will I be able to plug and utilize 4 video cards?

This is manual of the motherboard: http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList/Manual/motherboard_manual_ga-ep43-%28d%29s3l%28r%29_e.pdf

Scroll to page 9 - there is block diagram. If anyone knows definite answer. The chipset is old and most of people usually use newer chipsets. I could not find any references regarding older chipsets and multi GPU setups.

Thanks!

Yes, it should do 5 cards with the right OS as none of the PCI slots are shared at a BIOS level. You will need to check driver availability for whatever OS you are choosing but it should be a good mobo.

you can already switch or add pools using the cgminer api.
edit /etc/config/cgminer

original
Code:
option api_allow 'W:127.0.0.1'
change to
Code:
option api_allow 'W:127.0.0.1,W:192.168.x.xxx'

change "192.168.x.xxx" to the ip of your desktop or whatever computer u wanna control from... and then restart cgminer...

What software are you using to remote control the api with?
397  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: December 24, 2013, 10:17:40 AM
I wish the firmware would display the true hardware error rate so we don't have to run any calculations.

Agreed, perhaps that can add it when they update the firmware to fix the cgminer small nonce2 problem that generates extra HW errors.

EDIT: If they fix the firmware.

15 @0.085 each = 1.275BTC please. How are you going to request the shipping fee, as BTC?
399  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: December 24, 2013, 08:21:46 AM
I read, but i saw that you make circle around the hashing rate at eligius, so i was wondering what you missed? Everything run well? Huh

The asic status must to be a display bug, as you can see on the real hashing rate. Probably you can fix this but if you turn off the miner for at least 20-30 sec and start again. If you change the mining pools, this error appear sometime.

That appears on mine as well after hashing for a couple of days. As you say the OP's pool stats are good and the error rate is 1.1% so I would not get too concerned.
400  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: December 23, 2013, 05:42:37 PM
I got it...unplugged the whole system from power. Waited 5 minutes...plugged it in...started it...wait for WAN led is going to blink...push the S2 button for 10 seconds and released it...shutted down the system at once. Started it and it got the 192.168.1.99 ip.

Good, I was just going to suggest plugging the device directly into your PC/laptop and using wireshark to see what the IP was.
