1  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Deepbit offline... on: May 29, 2011, 10:54:06 PM
Slushs pool (the website) is also offline. But the mining still works. Got one accepted block since I cant reach the page any more.
2  Bitcoin / Mining / How much do you get from 1 GPU? on: May 26, 2011, 04:11:23 PM
Hi,

Iīd like to know how many MHash/s people get from 1 GPU (okay or from more if youīre running more than one parallel). The reasons (why I want to know that) are:
-I want to compare and see if I do something wrong.
-I'm curious. Yep, thatīs a good reason.
-People that want to start building a rig (or something) might be able to find use for the data.

Iīm mining on a single ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 and get between 4 and 15 MHash/s (depending on what else I do while mining). I use this Laptop for stuff like surfing, doing math, programming and gaming. So, since most of the time the GPU is kinda sleeping I mine while the computer is on anyway. (And I dont pay for the electricity while Iīm at the University. And I guess the monitor still uses way more power than the GPU.)

For easier finding the Data (about the GPU and MHash/s) please post it at the end of your post.

3  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: GUI mining - now with BFI_INT optimization on: May 26, 2011, 06:14:58 AM
It keeps "Connecting.." for a long time. Actually I havenīt seen it finish connecting yet.
I try to mine as part of deepbit.net and right now Iīm at the university so they might have blocked the port. I also donīt have an OpenCL device yet, if that might be part of the problem.

Iīm just posting this so you know of the problem and (if someone has an Idea) can maybe help me or give some advice.

Edit: Searching the Forum (this thread actually) I saw that someone else (Quadthingy or something) had the same problem and solved it by updating the drivers. I dont know which driver yet, (I guess the one for the GPU)  and I dont know why I cant use the CPU for mining until I updated the drivers but I guess thatīll be fine for me once I got new drivers.

Final edit: Yup, updating the ATI Drivers worked. I only get about 12 Mhash/s but I guess my GPU just isn't that strong.
Iīll donate as soon as I got my first coin Smiley
