141  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game| 0.91% Edge| PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: August 29, 2014, 03:00:31 AM
As Primedice3 opening days are coming to a close the faucet is soon going to be decreased a bit. It is currently giving out over 3 BTC a day which is a lot higher than we expected. This is mainly due to abuse.

3 BTC a day? That is crazy.
Are the faucet claimed mainly by a large number of new low level accounts?
142  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 when? on: August 28, 2014, 03:56:28 PM
i think when Bitcoin stock almost reach the end.
but it's for 100 years again~ (when almost reach the end, not sure about the price)  Roll Eyes

Stock? The end?
Even though block rewards will become zero some day in around 2140, it will not be an end to bitcoin IMO.
143  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin anonymous? on: August 28, 2014, 03:45:11 PM
Why couldn't make they Bitcoin totally anonymous? this is kinda sucky. I dont want to know that i moved money to another country or some shit, no one wants that but thats the point of Bitcoin, so why not make it anonymous from the let go?

Well, the core devs could change the code of the program, but unless the majority of bitcoin users support the change, it will just create a new hard-forked altcoin.
144  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best bitcoin wallet on: August 28, 2014, 03:36:41 PM
The best wallet IMO is the Bitcoin Armory, which is feature-rich, safe, deterministic and can be used for offline wallet easily.
145  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Definition of mBTC an uBTC on: August 28, 2014, 03:32:37 PM
Can you guys fix this? this is to complicated for newbies, too many 00000000000000  Huh

And so we have different units.
For big trade, you can use "BTC"; for smaller trade, you can use "mBTC"; and for faucets, you can use "uBTC" or "satoshi".
If you are using the right unit, you shouldn't have many zeros in the amount.
146  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: sync wallet qt on: August 28, 2014, 03:27:46 PM
Do a search for bootstrap.dat. It's a torrent and contains a large percentage of the data needed. After downloading it, put it into your bitcoin folder then start the client.

eidt: Not sure if this is the latest version: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=145386.0

To get the latest bootstrap.dat torrent, the best way is to download it directly on bitcoin.org (in the bottom of https://bitcoin.org/en/download).
147  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the reason for all of a sudden price dropping??? on: August 28, 2014, 03:19:45 PM
The bitcoin price is now stabilized at the $500 region, and we are now back to the boring horizontal price movement lol.
148  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cheap, reliable computer to use for cold storage? on: August 28, 2014, 03:15:47 PM
Raspberry Pi with 64GB sd card?

Why do you need 64GB? You only need to store the wallet file (private keys) in your Ras Pi.

'Cause somebody talked about armory.

You only need to have the blockchain on the online PC with Armory, the offline PC only holds your wallet.

Exactly.
For the detailed installing requirements and steps, you can refer to https://bitcoinarmory.com/about/using-our-wallet/
149  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC to Paypal on: August 28, 2014, 02:57:20 PM
Not buy BTC in ebay with paypal, lots of scammers around  Roll Eyes
I got scammed hard once when I tried to buy DOGE from ebay, the joys of being a newb.

Both eBay and Paypal don't work well with Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies.
It is much better to use irreversible payments like cash and MoneyGram.
150  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which Block Explorer do you use ? on: August 28, 2014, 02:40:42 PM
U might like to give a shot to www.blocktrail.com. These guys have done a fantastic job. U'd probably like the clean design.

The layout and design are pretty good, and I will probably use it as the backup for bc.i and blockr.
151  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Orphaned blocks and transactions on them on: August 28, 2014, 02:10:11 PM
I don't think transactions can get lost? that would be ridiculous  Huh

Happens all the time.

Transactions that don't confirm (e.g., with six confirmations) eventually get dropped by the miners (due to the limited size of the transaction pool which is in-memory only.)  http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/9709

It is true that low priority transactions without fee will probably never be confirmed and eventually dropped by all miners.

But if the transaction is included in a block (but then the block gets orphaned), the transaction will likely be included in another block soon.
152  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need help buying small amount of bitcoin on: August 28, 2014, 02:01:34 PM
Since you only want to buy a small amount of bitcoin, localbitcoins is the best option here IMO.
Just check the site to see if there are any sellers near you.

If you are just buying $40 bitcoin, a 5% fee would be just $2, so it doesn't make a big difference IMO.
153  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: wallet question on: August 28, 2014, 01:53:20 PM
Isnt bitcoin qt more secure than armoy??

Not really IMO.
There are some nice features in Armory such as GPU-resistant wallet encryption and m-of-n wallet which make it more secure.
154  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Safest wallet on: August 28, 2014, 01:48:02 PM
Blockchain.com is the safest, unless you know how to secure your own wallet well..

bc.i wallet may be the easiest to use wallet, but definitely not the safest one.
Offline wallet, paper wallet and Trezor are much better in terms of safety.

Also, it is indeed not that hard to learn how to keep your bitcoin safe. Smiley
155  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i need some help on: August 28, 2014, 01:45:06 PM
some hyip´s last some good time, i see it, and other people who i know earn, but been intelligent, invest only in short time, like 1 to 15 days only, not 30 or more days, and in hyip´s that has more than 2 months, some hyip´s last 1 year, like in-india.in, last 1year and 2 months, then dissapear, but the people who invest before the year had good earns, and who invest big amount, earn a lot of more (now they sure have to buy a house lol), so you can´t say that you allways going to lost your money, if you investigate, be intelligent, and have a little of luck, you can earn!!, of course, only in some, a little sites....you can lose too, but you can earn too, for that, it´s better to invest in 2 or 3 in same time...

It is true that you could get big profits if you deposit and withdraw at a good timing, but it is extremely risky as the site can go off at any moment.
If you really want to try, please don't invest more than you can afford to lose.
156  Other / Archival / Re: Do you know legit websites to buy cigarettes online? on: August 28, 2014, 01:42:05 PM
try the silk road you can buy cartons for like .98 btc
Is all kinds of brands are available?
On silk road all brands and every thing available but I am not sure this site is still working because its seized by USA authorities few months ago

Silk Road was seized, and then someone created Silk Road 2.0 which is even bigger than the original SR lol. Grin
157  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which is the best project to start? gambing, faucet, dice, casino etc? on: August 28, 2014, 01:35:15 PM
I guess the services you've mentioned are already pretty much tapped out. Remember that a Casino needs a lot of initial funds to begin with! Also, you need to be a trusted member of the community to attract high rollers.

Interestingly, DiceBitcoin has made a foray without being trusted in the community.

Yup it is very crazy.
I don't really understand why people have trusted it that much and invested over 5400 btc in the 1-month old site.
158  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: (Ask?) Hashprofit on: August 28, 2014, 01:29:33 PM
TBH, I don't believe that site has over 26000 customers that it claims to have.

And that 200khs promo ends in an hour(That might just be bait on their part. You know, the never ending deadline).

And now after more than 2 days has passed, the promo will "end" in a day and 6 hours lol. Cheesy
159  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: FIRST Bitcoin ATM machines in Missouri and Kansas on: August 28, 2014, 01:21:36 PM
How did these guys get licensed? Is it legal?

I want to know this as well.

OP, you haven't mentioned anything about the money transmitter license in your website...
160  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crossed 500 USD - Bull Market returns ? on: August 28, 2014, 01:07:05 PM
Securities in general get a bump in Oct before x-mas.

Isn't it the opposite?

http://www.investopedia.com/terms/o/octobereffect.asp
Definition of 'October Effect'
The theory that stocks tend to decline during the month of October.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Twain_effect
In some stock markets, the Mark Twain effect is the phenomenon of stock returns in October being lower than in other months.
