It is quite lucurative (10 % of your total onions in interest) for the first year, and decreases after this, ending up at 1 % after a couple years.

It is very easy to start staking, you just need to keep your wallet running and unlocked for staking. Or you can keep it running without any encryption, but that is not recommended for security reasons.

It takes a while to hit your first stake. First you need "mature" onions (stay in your wallet for 24+ hours), and you need to build up a fair amount of network weight.

Yeah it doesn't mean much, the onion limit. Doesn't the amount you get scale directly from the amount you have in your wallet? More is more. Getting to Jr. on bitcoin talk is the hardest part right now.

I guess the biggest argument I can see is they want you to actually invest a bit, be it time from forum activities, or money from buying them directly. Have some skin in the game so to speak. You care more that way.

In gmail go to settings -> filters and blocked addresses -> create a new filter.

Then put "deeponion" (without quotation marks) in the "Includes the words"-box. Then save filter.

In the subsequent window mark the checkbox "never send it to spam". Then click "Create filter".

After this make the site send you a new email.

The above process worked for me when i failed to receive my verification mail for Kucoin, but I assume it would work for deeponion as well. Worth a try!

My guess would be a rebound from the previous correction, and of course increased faith in the coin from the newly released whitepaper. Let's just hope for a steady and maintainable increase. The price tends to crash for a while if it rises too quickly.

Det er vanskelig å se for seg en market cap på under 1 mrd dollar iallefall, så x10 har jeg også sterk tro på.

Det som skjedde med Verge ser ut til å være katalysert av twitter-omtale fra en viss person kjent innen nettsikkerhet, så skjer det samme med Onions kan den nesten være på samme nivå over natten. Verge er den mest naturlige mynten å sammenligne seg med, og viser Wraith-protokollen seg å være "smoke and mirrors", så ligger Onions veldig godt an!

Haha, yeah, no. I personally couldn't care less what the absolute value of a coin is, but you can't get around the psychological effects of such things.

Look at electroneum for instance. Very shitty coin, has success regardless. It's not the only factor, but they have for sure studied the psychological effect of owning 40000 coins vs. 0.2 coins at the same market cap

Also, I agree with this. Mostly because our brains are better accustomed to consider integer (whole) numbers, and not fractions. Once you pay something using 0.00001 coin it's a bit hard to comprehend, imo. This will quickly become the case once onions rise in price.

You mean to say that a low value coin is always more likely to rise in value than a high value coin? This is all a matter of market cap (ignoring external factors like coin usefulness etc.), i.e. Value x Circulating supply.

A low value coin with high circulating supply (like ripple) is just as likely to rise (or fall) in value as a high value, low supply coin (like bitcoin), if they both currently have the same market cap.
This is also part of the reason why ripple will never ever reach 1000 usd.

Investing $10k in a $10 bn market cap coin is gives you the same profit or loss regardless of the price of the actual coin.
