1  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: U1 antminer USB sticks 0.08 unit (500/500 sold) COMPLETE on: January 03, 2014, 09:33:17 AM
Just wanted to confirm pleasant transaction & satisfactory miners :-D

Met elasticband in an Amsterdam bar & collected 14x - doing wallet-to-wallet transfer - easy transaction & he is a genuinely humane + honest person!

Hope to socialise as well as do additional business with him in the future.

Miners are great too. Work as expected < 1% HW & quiet cool in normal mode.

Easy to overclock up to 2.2 - although I wouldnt recommend it as in my case I noticed gradual HW increase up above 5% at times.
Also in my case I incurred issues with chaining wherein "0A81" always causes N-1 than the total available - I believe this most likely a bad driver / coms code in their version / patch of cgminer.

Interested in discovering how to overclock to / beyond "5081". Any links / documents on the topic would be appreciated.
2  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: I propose we merge custom hardware into mining hardware on: January 02, 2014, 04:43:50 AM
Agreed - Merge!

ASIC or otherwise - it can also be argued that most tech existent or forthcoming is custom - least in terms of PCB, components used, connectivity / chaining,  number of chips & eg - subsequent over-power / over-clocking capabilities (if any).

Your entire sentences make no sense to me, lol. I would happily pay for a step-by-step newbie guide on how to get antminer cgminer running.

LOL - ok - sure :-D
- I'll hold you to that - how much would you pay?
- talk to me in BTC or number of Antminers? - we can do it over skype.

Will it install the antminer patches?
And, how do I pull off this 'git pull'?

Add it as a remote & merge it in as or read as subtree

Code:
git remote add -f --no-tags Name https://github.com/src/file.git
#......
git merge --no-commit --squash Name/master

You need a lesson in git ;-)

how much for just the SD card with the required config? got any green LCD displays for the PI?

I dont mind giving you the replica of my own SD which is a multidevice setup - you seem really decent / honest - I remember you from my Bitmit transaction - so maybe you can give me 1 or 2 Antminers in return cor the SD / effort? :-Þ

As for LCD's - I have 2x which are multicolour (Red, Green, Blue, White IIRC) - eg:

I purchased them at 0.3 BTC a piece (2 months ago) – but I don’t suspect I’ll get the same returns in BTC – I’m sure we can work something out – let me know if you want them & I’ll bring them on collection / our meetup.

Oh, this changes things quite a bit!

I'm quite lost now.

How would I install cgminer on a rPi and then all these separate tweaks. D: Help

If you want an out of the box experiance - I can provide you a (1x) RPI with a (1x) 10 Port Orico USB 2.0 Hub & Wifi Dongle + SD Card for 1.5 BTC.
This would include a RPI specific case with multicolour LCD / status display & latest version of cgminer (3.8.x) with AntMiner specific patches. You can use this device to mine without the need for a desktop PC & can still use the RPI as a general purpose desktop machine - running Debian, Linux.

With another 10 port hub you can use the same setup with 10x miners totalling 20 devices.

Of course elasticband himself sells 49 Port USB Hubs too :-D

elasticband - kindly add two (2x) more to my order:

aphorise - 10x

Hi - elasticband - a member here recommended you - did you use to sell on Bitmit too? - if so I may have purchased 40x USB Block Erupter from you sometime ago.

Can you please put me down for
8x 0.08

Any chance of a pick-up - where-about in Amsterdam are you based?
PM me - cheers!

I was after 3x to 8x of these - any remaining? - or anyone selling a few?
Thanks -

Please reply with the reserve format to reserve.

Thanks
Is the standard format just mentioning payment here & number of units paid for?
What is minimum order? & are prices still 0.1 BTC per unit? ($70/G too pricy - I am buying only for novelty)
What about shipment cost to the Netherlands?

Thanks very much.

11  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Wantted: Gen1 + Gen2 PCB's / Boards on: December 04, 2013, 07:33:45 PM
I'm trying to compile a complete review of all generation 1 + 2 chipsets & boards that have been assembled by the community to date.

I am involved in another mining project / rig & with the help of peers - I've thus far been able to acquire the following series:
- (AMU) 62x USB ASIC Block Erupter's
- (AVA) Avalon 3 modulars (240 ASICs)
- (BTB) BitBurner XX - 4 Stack / 8 Board (20 avalons)
- (BAJ) Butterfly BitForce Jalapeno
- (HEX) Technobit HEX16a (16 avalons) [http://technobit.eu/index.php]
- (BF) - USB Blue Fury v2 [https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=299295.0]
- (BXF) - USB Bi•Fury [https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=309918.0;all]

If anyone can donate any other functioning hardware or prototype for review - please let me know - I can offer BTC for shipping / hardware.

Also welcome any omissions to the list above - what more should a proper review include?

Thanks in advanced for all your assistance / inputs.
