1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Asus B250 mining expert - amd driver compatibility for 8+ GPUs? on: January 19, 2018, 02:19:32 PM
Thanks inter  but I read that the adrenaline drivers give inferior hashrate compared to blockchain ones? Do you know is it's true?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Asus B250 mining expert - amd driver compatibility for 8+ GPUs? on: January 19, 2018, 11:54:16 AM
I have this motherboard and I have to use the AMD blockchain drivers otherwise the hashrate is terrible for my cards. I have had to send it back for repair. While it is getting repaired can anyone confirm that I can use the blockchain drivers for more than 8 GPUs? The asus manual states that for over 8 GPUs 17.10.2 drivers must be used (which don't give a good hashrate)??!!!
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Asus B250 Mining Expert does it work with AMD Aug Blockchain drivers? on: January 03, 2018, 07:12:02 PM
Can anyone confirm that Asus B250 Mining Expert will work with AMD Aug Blockchain drivers for 8+ GPUs? I only ask as with my cards I have to use these drivers to get the best hashrate - the 17.xxx drivers wont work for me. I have had to return the motherboard as it suddenly stopped working completely after only two weeks use. It is dead so I am awaiting it's return. Before it blew up I did try and connect an eighth card using a second PSU but it did not show up in device manager or claymore. Can anyone confirm that this is possible please using the Blockchain drivers? Thank you

I have already updated it to the mining bios F6a and gigabyte say it should support 7 Gpus using the M.2 https://www.gigabyte.com/MicroSite/462/mining.html

I think if the fan spins on the GPU it suggests that the adapter itself is ok and it is a configuration/software issue but how to fix it I don't know - maybe something in BIOS as you have said.....

Did you make some changes in the BIOS settings of the motherboard?
There is an option - M2 adapter mode which is to be set to PCIe for GPU.
Thank you! I hope there is - Could you guide me to where in the BIOS this is? I thought there may be an option here but could't find anything.

Hello I am having problems with this motherboard  Gigabyte GA-Z270P-D3 - I plugged into the M.2 adapter but it is not detected in windows despite the fan spinning on the GPU? I've updated the bios to the mining version. I have tried the suggestions on this threadhttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2204115.msg22438508#msg22438508

Any ideas? It seems that it should work.....
