Bitcoin was created in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis... so does that mean that people will flock to cryptocurrency if there's another one?

Well this may be a good decision... but only if you buy back in when the market starts to go positive. Alts will see greater percentage gains than Bitcoin.

Yeah ETH has taken a beating this year. I bought some ETH when it hit $375 cuz I didnt think it'd go lower... guess I was wrong. Bought some at $100... can't imagine it going much lower.

There are some cheap alts out there... if and when the bull market returns, some of these will see 10x growth.

Well if an ICO was a scam I'm sure they'd probably cash out. So it's like investors who like crypto give to people who don't care about crypto so it drains the market.

Last year I was thinking of launching one with a couple of friends. It seemed like a project could get some traction with even a minimal website. Now that the market has wised up a bit I see no point in it and no value proposition.

Yeah I sold my BCHSV the day I got it... and same with BCH... though I bought back in when I realized it was gonna stuck around. I still just consider them wannabes to the Bitcoin name... but they just aren't.
