Happy to be out of this stinker with a small gain. There are entirely too many worthy alt coins with actual development to waste time and funds on this pump and dump. Best of luck.

2023  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: April 06, 2014, 04:29:59 PM
You know, I learned the hard way that HashFast are low-life scum but I never was one to accuse them of self-mining - it seemed like their problems were real that they probably just couldn't get it together enough to get shit out the door.

But looking at that VMC "set up guide".  Wow.  VMC is selling what are obviously Hashfast boards, with identical capacitors and other components, multiple Hashfast Rev stickers on them (the same board), and thermal paste already applied?  Hundreds of these boards, allegedly?

Boy, it sure seems like used equipment to me.  Coming direct from Hashfast to VMC?

Wow.  This looks almost criminal.  Screw arbitration.  How about some time at San Quentin for these guys?

I was with you until you said ALMOST criminal.
2024  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: April 06, 2014, 02:44:59 PM
S1s were selling like hotcakes, then they shipped batch 1 of their new s2, and now they're getting ready to ship batch 2 of s2. Probably safe to say they have all they can handle.

There's a v1.3.1.0 client available.

Me and Paul are considering starting our own zeitgeist movements. We are drunk. This happens a lot. Paul is a very aggressive self-opinionated humanitarian and I still shop at Tesco. Hopefully our planning will make headway soon.

Sounds legit!

What's $5957 BTC?

Coinwarz just chainged their block reward display so hashes will probably drop fast now.
2030  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where is the money going to come from to rally bitcoin? on: April 05, 2014, 07:08:25 PM
...yet bitcoin even with it's flaws is far less flawed than the centrally controlled(and inflated) fiat we're all forced at gunpoint to use. This is the engine that drives bitcoin adoption.

Rather see the energy put into building a better coin, with unique features and unique marketing. Energy dumped into pumping up the exchange rate is energy wasted imo. If you make the coin desirable the exchange rate will follow anyway.
2032  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: April 05, 2014, 07:01:07 PM
Disclosure: small time AMC/VMC shareholder.

But, the short version of the story of VMC so far has been BFL with 10% worse luck. (If you're capable of taking an objective view of BFL, and know how "near" things were.)

This has been slightly compounded by the fact that we've previously had no core technical team of our own so 3rd party expertise had to be brung in, which was another thing that could go wrong of course.

At the moment I think we're experiencing demand/volume issues on the customer service side.

I was as surprised as anyone when we bought in the HF designed stuff, can only assume HF has severe cashflow and credit issues, if we can by the chips off them and the board designs and rent their 3rd party facility for assembly.

Bad luck? That's why bfl, vmc, hashfast, and cointerra all suck? Luck doesn't explain why they treat their customers like dirt either.

<sigh>

The level of arrogance here is repulsive.

Change this:

I just snapped that btw so don't tell me noobs aren't being led to a sh1t client.

yes but you said that the OP doesn't say anything about alternative clients, and there is a link with a full collection of all.

We will obviously not remove the link the core server client?!?

I didn't actually. Can you provide a quote of me saying that? I won't hold my breath.

If I'd known the client I was downloading was so poorly written it'd display someone else's account number so readily I'd have been more careful or downloaded a superior client.

n/m pretty sure I'm wasting my time with this mess of a coin. I'll move on to the next 100% premine.

I've downloaded exactly one next client ever and it's crap. I was led to that download link by the OP in this very thread.

Why is it so hard to eliminate? Just changing the OP would take 5 seconds of someone's time. I wouldn't have chosen that download if it wasn't on the first page of this thread.

You don't build the reputation of a new coin by letting poorly crafted software screw newbies out of their new coins.

I will get the OP changed ok?

It's ok with me. Can anyone explain why it wasn't changed months ago? How long has a superior windows client existed?

You mean someone that wants to donate to the millionares that created this thing can't be bothered to enter an account #?!? Color me skeptical. Do we even know who owns that non account?

everyone owns that account, you know how to enter it yourself Wink

If you send NXT there, than the first person to detect that, will send the NXT to his own account.  In your case the NXT went to this account: http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=3000&acc=15403621473314136443

Maybe he runs a program that checks the "easy" account numbers for incoming transfers.

Sweet. I'm sure I'm the first to unintentionally donate.

This coin just gets worse and worse. It's like reading about ripple.

Wonder if "he" runs a program to check for easy passwords that aren't blank as well.

Good luck. Too bad it wasn't made clear previously. Perhaps the owner of that null account wouldn't have received so many unintended donations.

Unbelievable that this hasn't been addressed after months.

Why don't you accept some coins and try out some of the cool features, that NO other coin has?

Seriously unimpressed with the arrogant attitude of most of the next supporters here. If this is such a tiny problem then why does the null account have so many transactions?

Unbelievable that this hasn't been addressed after months. This is a crypto with a cap of 61,780BTC or nearly $28m.
