1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Ethos Mining Pool Hub on: January 26, 2018, 11:12:12 AM
Hey guys,

Does anybody know how I can setup Ethos and Mining Pool Hub to mine multi algo's for whichever is possible,

When I try and set it up I get "unauthorized access" but when I set up multi mining (for same algo) it works fine.

also how do I set up ALL of the pools to mine too on the Remote config file?

What really matters is the memory they have and what memory clock/timings you'll be able to achieve. So get the cheapest of the three because memory chips are a lottery.
You should definitely read up on modifying the BIOS. Being able to copy memory straps would be great, modifying the timings by yourself would be even better. Generally you should be able to achieve 2000MHz+ memory clock with a timing strap of 1500MHz for Hynix or Micron or 1750MHz for Samsung or Elpida.
I'd suggest starting from these threads:
http://www.overclock.net/t/1604567/polaris-bios-editing-rx5xx-rx4xx (the first post)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1758267.0 (the entire thread, probably)

Stock settings will get you 22-24MH/s on all these cards on ETH at ~150w, modified BIOS and overclocking, as well as core undervolting and underclocking the core, will get you 28-31MH/s at ~90-100w.

ethOS is just a plug and play solution and does not yield better hashrates, though may consume less power when compared to Windows. Use a normal Linux distro instead and save $40.

Other than that, think carefully about your motherboard and remember that if you order multiple cards that are the same (Nitro+ for example), the memory chips may be different so you can't flash the same BIOS on all of them.
It'd be best that you get at least an 80Plus Platinum PSU for a superb efficiency. Though mining is profitable even with $0.20 electricity.

They are all around the $400 mark so you're saying that they will all do the same rate until they have been clocked?

Thank you for the link - I will definitely have a read up on it and look into pushing more out of them!

So it's not really worth getting ethOS? - I'm fine setting it up on linux have done that before - can it easily be set up however to keep an eye on the rigs remotely ?

sorry for my naivety here - but how would the chips be different? surely if I order the same they would all come with the same that would be able to flash them?

I already have a motherboard and PSU etc that I can use in the mean time - I'll have a look into a better motherboard for more GPU's at a later date.

where do you live?  country is good enough.

most rx 580 are sold out.

how much are you willing to spend?

here is a nice build I did using nvidia

parts are available in USA

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1877588.msg19358388#msg19358388

I live in Australia and had a ahrd time finding RX 580's however have found somewhere to get them from.

I am just starting small at the moment ~$1500 but if I find out im making some money I will be dropping around 5k into it to start with.

What sort of hashrates did you get with that setup?

So I used to mine BTC about 5 years ago and after it got too hard I stopped.

I now want to get back into the game and am looking at mining ethereum , as such I need some help building my rig.

I am looking at either of these three graphics cards

MSI Radeon RX 580 Gaming X, 8GB

Sapphire NITRO+ Radeon RX 580 OC, 8GB

ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 580 TOP Edition, 8GB

Which would be best to go for ? which would get me the best hashrate (and what would they be? - I've seen alot of different figures thrown around for these three , hoping somebody here has some solid evidence)

Cheers for the help!

Also looking at installing ethOS - would that support being able to swap between a more valuable coin?

Also what else do I need to think about / get for the rig?

Cheers

no , when I load it up on blockchain.info it says "Transaction not found"

If I update it will I get my BTC back or is that gone now ?
Backup your wallet files first.

Your coins will not be lost. The problem here is that your client is sending transaction that has high-s value and the network has stopped accepting them. Multibit Classic v5.17 fixed this issue and enforces the low-s value in transaction. Your transaction would then be able to get propagated and confirmed.

Check your fees, just in case.

Reset the blockchain once you have done upgrading.

Thanks alot - i've tried updating but its making me go for MultibitHD - so ill install that and reset the blockchain and move it all over.

Thanks for the help - hopefully its all good now Smiley

Hello ,

I have tried moving over btc before and never had an issue with it , now I'm trying to move btc from my wallet over to a website - I have made 3 different transfers to this website and not a single one has worked.

they all have "seen by 1 peer" and 0 confirmations - one has been like this for 3 days , the 2nd for 2 days and another for 3 hours - they arn't showing on the blockchain etc.

Whats happening / is there any way I can speed this up or get the btc back ? - I have around BTC.4 in limbo at the moment and really do not want to lose it !

My wallet is Multibit v 5.14 - I can't change the tx its all automatic apparently.

Cheers for the help.

Right when I was about to buy one too. Some people just stoop to new levels of low.

my account doesn't have a card or anything attached and its a gmail account -
What do you mean card? Credit card? If he is selling accounts, there's no way he would leave any credit card for payments.

yeah no payment details attached - see thats the thing - Ive bought spotify accounts before and they all had credit cards attached to them which made them last the full year

So tell me why(Post  about 4 lines, no more than 10) about why I should hand it over to you.

The winner will be when this post reaches 100 posts
