281  Economy / Speculation / Re: Am I the only one who wants bitcoin to tank? on: August 10, 2014, 03:48:00 PM
Miners who are hodling their mining results are hoping for a low or relatively no rise BTC at this time. This keeps the difficulty from rising like crazy and better results off of the same hardware. The last 2 difficulty rise have been reasonable thanks to the stable BTC price.
282  Economy / Speculation / Re: Some good news for you! on: August 09, 2014, 12:32:31 AM
This is monumental.

Its a monumental failure is what it is. Good lucking trying to buy stuff on here while paying with BTC. Once payment is made, its gone. At least with Ebay/PayPal, we have buyer protection etc.

Decentralized and anonymous also means a LOT of fraud! And if you use one of the escrow crap, then you have pay escrow fees.

Also, there is a learning curve to using this rather than simply jumping on Ebay.com so I doubt anything will come out of it except crap...nice try though and hope to God that it really works so we can have a real marketplace.
283  Economy / Speculation / Re: URGENT, Bitcoin is on the verge of collapse !!! on: August 07, 2014, 01:15:19 AM
just bought in at 420 EUR, now lets ride the trend!

where do you buy in for 420? :O

Good luck to you...it's bottom heavy at this time but not too bad. It may pull itself out as it has done several times over the past few months.
284  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces its first ASIC - Hash-Rate greater than 500 GH/s on: July 31, 2014, 04:13:35 PM

$420 a month seems to be quite a lot though.
285  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC drop to next level coming...bail the F out now! on: July 31, 2014, 04:12:02 PM
While I hate to see big drops like this, I don't plan on selling my coin until i retire. So, I have years to go before I start thinking about selling. I stopped panic selling awhile ago, which is pretty good advice. Just hold and dont look at the daily drops (or gains). The only time I will consider selling now is if I ran into a financial situation where it made sense..

Even if it drops all the way down to 200, it will eventually recover.. (and a great time to buy)

The price is what you agree to sell it for. As long as you wait and have a target, you will eventually get your target since BTC continues to be bullish over the long term in spite of recent stagnation.
286  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC drop to next level coming...bail the F out now! on: July 30, 2014, 09:21:59 PM
Its back under...No idea how many weeks before it pulls itself out of this one.
287  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC drop to next level coming...bail the F out now! on: July 09, 2014, 01:24:44 AM
They will still need a way t
I heard some people want to connect bitcoin to ISIS to make the price drop.(maybe that caused the spike today)
It is all over reddit at the moment.
http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/

That's not good news to be connected to such organizations. But practically speaking eventually they will have to convert into FIAT and they will run into issues doing that. Its a bit worrysome though given that people could donate to such nutcases anonymously.
288  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC drop to next level coming...bail the F out now! on: July 05, 2014, 02:26:35 PM
Price gone down yesterday,...

Relax,... Don't Panic,... just wait another 65 years, it will pickup again, and probably be higher in price...

Smiley

lol! Yeah, booster depleted...
289  Economy / Speculation / Re: how we can grow up price bitcoin on: July 03, 2014, 09:21:44 PM
Everyone contributing a bit will help.

Such as offering a service and product to accept bitcoin.

My company not only accepts payments in Bitcoin but also provides a discount if paid in Bitcoin. We actually are able to process orders more efficiently due to almost negligible fraudulent orders using Bitcoins.
290  Economy / Speculation / Re: how we can grow up price bitcoin on: July 03, 2014, 09:19:40 PM
people i dont know if you have this idea

but if we grow up price bitcoin ? ask more money for bitcoin

this is like a boom !

like 5000$

Bitcoin is a currency and not a stock. Good luck with your antics but be careful, you may lose all your money!
291  Economy / Speculation / Winklevoss ETF to trade on Nasdaq as 'COIN' on: July 02, 2014, 12:11:59 PM
Slowly but surely, the Winkles are moving along with their ETF listing plans...

SecondMarketís BIT (Bitcoin Investment Trust) plans to get out there later this year as well.
292  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC drop to next level coming...bail the F out now! on: July 02, 2014, 12:07:56 PM
Ok, but the entry point and exit point should be a little more to the right. You only see a cross after the close of the candle.

Yes, you can look at the chart at different timelines and drill down on the indicators on those too. This chart with simple indicators is on a daily timeline.
293  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC drop to next level coming...bail the F out now! on: July 02, 2014, 02:15:11 AM
Here is a chart with simple indicators to get an idea of entry and exit points. Most people wanting to trade have one big issue: ENTRY and EXIT points.

294  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC drop to next level coming...bail the F out now! on: July 02, 2014, 01:55:16 AM
if you can't trust indicators blindly, what do you use in addition than?
Prediction of the price movements is super subjective.

Technical analysis along with Fundamental analysis. For example, we pay caution when some major news is expected, pay attention to overall sentiment and research prospects.
295  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who believes in $10,000 a coin? on: July 01, 2014, 05:01:16 PM
We are not hitting 10k anytime soon, if ever.  Bitcoin will be replaced by another currency, should the technology continue to move forward.

That Sir, is the only thing which will take Bitcoin down...if any other competing digital currency gets ahead of Bitcoin. Especially if some government decides to toss one out~
296  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC drop to next level coming...bail the F out now! on: July 01, 2014, 01:12:36 PM
Yes, it just went down by $30 at that time. Took a whole month to get itself out of that nasty rut.

A boost appears to be developing...should know in a day or two!"

On Sunday at 5:00pm(that's the time I see but other's time may vary depending on your time zone), I called a boost and in 12 hours we had a 3-5% boost and now the price is $655. Basically, the idea is that we can certainly use indicators to get an idea of where things are going. I will try to post a chart later with some simple indicators on it. If anyone has any favorite indicators, please do post here as well.

I am not saying that we can blindly follow the indicators but it can be used as part of overall analysis to attain caution and get an idea of what's happening to big boy BTC.
297  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who believes in $10,000 a coin? on: July 01, 2014, 04:19:48 AM
I feel that $10,000 a coin is Bitcoin's destiny easily. Given the amount of growth and maturity that comes along with it and the limited supply of Bitcoins in circulation, its only a matter of time when $10,000/BTC will be the new $100/BTC.

Chime in!

More like 10,000 Cambodian Riel.

Can't even buy one Happy Pizza with that.

And how many Happy Pizza can we buy with BTC today? and how many could we buy with it 2 years go?

A fucking lot.

Cambodia is cheap as dirt.

Actually, Cambodia primarily uses the U.S. Dollar. While I was there, it seemed like they used the Riel as change because it's so devalued.

1 USD = 4000 Riel, I think. At least it was then. (2 years ago)

Yeah mate but if you just swing over to Vietnam you will notice its even worse. I can't remember clearly but I paid like 2,00,000 Dong or whatever they call it for a taxi ride. lol!

Yup, I remember the crap Cambodian money. Basically using each 1000 note like a quarter as you said mostly change.

299  Economy / Speculation / Re: California legalize bitcoin and STARBUCKS / AMAZON will use them. on: July 01, 2014, 04:03:19 AM
If Starbucks, Amazon and eBay altogether start to accept bitcoin, this means almost nothing. Just a small fraction of BTC owners will use to buy goods, rest holds and speculates.

Also, all bitcoins will be sold on exchanges, neither Amazon or Starbucks will hold a single BTC for more than 30days.

So this would mean nothing. Maybe some good publicity and bigger sell volumes on exchanges.

People will start using BTC for regular purchases. That means A LOT!!
