My achievement, I drove a Camry but now I am driving a Lambo. Grin

Even though it seems like a made-up story just give him the benefit of the doubt guys

Now math time,

If he actually invested in 2017 the price was around $1000 lowest of 2017. So if he didn't sell it all the way until its ATH which is around $65K means he made $64K in returns and let's say he paid $4K as tax now he still had $60K but I am not sure in which part of the world it is enough to satisfy

Buying a house
Car (possible)
Married (possible)
Children (definitely possibly remember COVID lockdowns and increase in birthrate).

Conclusion: If he skipped the house part then there is some credibility to this story. Wink
It's his own story and we all don't know what kind of experience he got from the two bull market experience he have. Maybe he got really lucky with the investment he made and bought the house we think is impossible. There are people who instantly get rich overnight this is why I think the story is possible knowing that he didn't mention the things he did and not even the one whole bitcoin that you are pertaining. I'm sure that he didn't bought a whole bitcoin when he is starting as he is broke that time. For now let's believe OP, it's his story after all.
522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hope is all I have left on: September 02, 2023, 07:31:55 PM
For people like us who still struggles to invest money on Bitcoin I want to know if one day, 1 sat can ever cost as much as 1 cent? Is this possible? Sorry I can't afford to dollar cost into Bitcoin like everyone else, it's very hard for me, all I need is hope.

I can only afford to invest into Bitcoin once in two month and that's not every with big money, you should understand my situation, I am too shamed to call a number.

Is there any hope for small Bitcoin buyers like myself? Can 1Sat ever be 1 Cent one day?
If you are struggling, simply don't invest and prioritize. Don't invest what you can't afford to lose because it will surely backfire to you when things go wrong. Increase you income first in my opinion so you can increase the money you can invest and you will not be pressured by the investment you will make. The price you mention is possible in the future, we like speculating and this can possibly happen in the future.
523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: presuring someone into Bitcoin investment on: September 02, 2023, 06:39:35 PM
Well obviously, if you pressure someone to invest on something saying bunch of things, they would doubt about it. Cause that's what networking and investment scheme usually do. They would keep on persuading people to invest on something. So I understand why your mother was in doubt at first when you told her to invest. But rather than forcing or persuading others to get into Bitcoin cause you believe in Bitcoin, it's better to introduce it to them first without telling them to try it. Simply, introduce it to them. When they get curious or interested, they will most likely to study and research about it on their own.

People around me whom I helped introducing Bitcoin, I never really persuaded them to invest in it. They just know I'm into Bitcoin or crypto in general, and they are the one who'll come to me asking for help how to invest and such.

I see your point here. More often than not, people get scammed by those who are being too persuasive and putting pressure on others to hear them out and join. Instead, it is better to just put it out there that you are into Bitcoin and crypto, and allow them to be the ones to find curiosity in it. Let them learn on their own and just be available when they have questions and inquiries, that way you wouldn't feel so responsible and pressured for their decisions in investing.
I also agree, there are bunch of strategy to make people get interested on things that you want them to learn. Showing the result of your investment would be sufficient enough, it will trigger their curiosity on how you get that kind of profit and pretty much they will engage themselves on how to learn crypto.

If they themselves got the initiative on how to use crypto, you will be safe from blaming if their investment sunk since you will absolutely haven't contributed from their intent on investing on crypto.
524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling by financial dependents. on: September 02, 2023, 05:49:31 PM
Children shouldn't be allowed near gambling before a certain age but parents nowadays don't really care about these things, they don't even supervise their children after providing them with all kinds of facilities like electronic devices and internet connections and everything else they might need for gambling or being able to gamble. If they have a device with internet access and has money and also know how to access gambling platforms, what can stop them?

The only thing that can stop children from getting involved in such things is the regular supervision of the parents. They shouldn't allow them to always stay locked in their rooms and do whatever they want without even checking their devices to see what they do on them, such children will surely get spoiled.
This may seem complicated for parents who are busy and have jobs, let alone busy doing business, so they rarely see their children and are never involved in anything their children do. I agree with that that children should be prohibited from gambling before they reach the right age. relatively mature, let's say they can make money from work, not from their parents' money.

At least when gambling with the results of your work or your own money, I think it's a sign of maturity, it's difficult to supervise children in this technological age where everything can be accessed just using a cellphone, the most important thing is that they must be taught responsibility where what they do will always be there. risky, because to ban him from gambling would usually bring his curiosity to try it.
Educating their children from the early age is the least they can do if they are busy working. Making their kids responsible of every movement they make and making their kids understand the negative effects of gambling. Most likely, their kids can carry out the knowledge that their parents pass to them even when they are on the legal age.

Technology has their own advantage, Restricting some possible actions in the devices of your children is possible nowadays. I wonder if there's an application that can block known websites that shouldn't be accessed by minors like casinos.
525  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My experience as a beginner trader on: September 01, 2023, 07:12:58 PM
There are no experience mate Grin you lose  as a beginner to become a stronger trader  Smiley so for everyone out there thinking of QUITTING QUITTING is not the option here just keep learning  till you  can say "Gone are those days " Grin

Even the strong trader experience loss many times in their trading life journey, but the beginning of the journey is attributed to losses more. The word Quit isn't something to embrace, only the fear soul quit but there are some situations that you have to quit and change plans, if you don't quit, you will only be adding to the already damage on the ground, that's why stop loss exist, use it very well.

Trading is really difficult, that I wouldn't lie to anyone and I will not sugar coat it but with the right strategy and using paper trading, it helps reduce the exposure of losses. The advantage of using paper trading is that while learning to trade, you are doing it in real time according to how the crypto market is moving unlike demo trading that's doesn't do that, they gives you high hope that you are an expert and then when you try the real life trading, it bounce back on you with heavy loss, paper trading isn't like that, it helps you understand the market in real life, the only thing you don't loss is the money because it's virtual and very helpful for beginners.
With the right practice and right attitude to the market, you can become a average trader that is way better than a newbie trader who experience consecutive losses and just hanging in the word of not quitting. Losses are inevitable but the amount of money you can lose are manageable, paper trading might is a good way of practicing at least on my own experience. The longer we are exposed to trading is the longer we learned on trading. Charts pattern repeat itself, responding to a certain chart for the first time is different from the response you will do after experiencing it multiple times. The response approach will be better for sure.
526  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop loss on: September 01, 2023, 06:22:19 PM
While I was still carrying out Forex trading, the broker I used then had automatic settings for stop loss and take profit, and you would just need to modify them to the price at which you want the market to automatically close if your loss threshold reached the level you set it to. But when I was carrying out futures trading, I noticed that most of those centralised exchanges don't have any feature that allows you to set your price for stop loss; you have to do it manually. The market is sometimes very volatile, mostly if you are dealing with some unpredictable altcoins. So, depending on how fast the volatility takes place, your asset could even get liquidated before you can close the trade to stop the loss. You are even lucky that your asset was not totally liquidated, as you were able to stop the loss.
We must have an accurate strategy even before we start trading, and in each individual transaction we need to understand what we are doing, when we should enter the trade, and at what levels we should exit the trade if the market behaves differently as we expected.

The main point is to minimize our risks, to reduce losses to a minimum, because there will always be losses, this is an inevitable part of trading, every trader will incur losses, but our main task is to minimize our losses.
The thing is there are no really accurate strategy on trading, it's hardly to have one like just what you have said, the market is very volatile. It's very hard to pinpoint the exact or accurate strategy to avoid losses. I agree on most of what you said since the it all boils down into minimalizing the risks as much as possible by finding strategy that can be use on the different kind of situations. One characteristic of a good trader from a new one is the agility of them to adapt to situations like minimalizing losses.
527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is It Finally Time For AI Coins? on: September 01, 2023, 05:38:04 PM
Are there Other AI coins that intrigue you? How well do you think aitech would perform in the next bull mrkt?

So far there are no tokens from the AI category that makes me curious, talking about tokens in the AI category, isn't the trend and hype of these type of tokens over? So what's the point in being too hasty at this moment?

Then about Solidus Ai Tech (AITECH), since its launch the price of this token has been steadily decreasing, I don't see any future here, normally when a token gets hype and opens trading for the first time, the price will definitely skyrocket at least 3 or 4 times , but I don't see that in $AITECH.
The trend of it was because of the chatGPT and other non-crypto AI platforms that was released to the public at the same time. Projects that are connected to AI technology that time were hyped as far as I remember. The hype coins is expected to go down after the hype were gone but I personally think that when the bull market arrives, AI coins are the one who will be included into the trend especially if there's a real product that people can use into crypto. If there's non, there would be probably no use for them and of course won't receive a hype to the public.
528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Socialtournaments-A way to stop gambling addiction on: September 01, 2023, 05:15:03 PM
This will help to reduce addiction from addicted gamblers, because they have all the time to entertain themselves and it will engage them in one way, at the same time money isn't used for the competition. I will say that it will also save them from losses and also have an opportunity to win big without staking anything. Although, the chance of winning the prize is slim.

It still depends on the gambler to understand that gambling is suppose to be done for entertainment and not for profit, this is another thing that the gambler must learn from the social tournament. If the gambler refuses to understand this,he will go back into gambling because he believes of making profit with it.
It depends on the addicted gambler itself. There's a high chance that they will find it have no challenge at all knowing that there's nothing at stake and maybe the winning price isn't worthy their time. Though for the gamblers who really want to quit gambling without spending money, it is a great way to entertain themselves with the spice of getting profit with the benefit of quitting gambling. Overall, it's a great way for some people to stop gambling, we now have this kind of option to recommend to someone who really want to quit or for some gambler who just want to have the entertainment they get from gambling.
529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free promoting a project by managing careless manager! on: September 01, 2023, 04:30:23 PM
If everyone stops advertising at $10-$50 for the Bounty campaigns, then project owners will be forced to increase the money allocated to the advertising campaign, but I see that everyone is motivated to advertise either by creating more alternative accounts or being satisfied with less than what your posts/tweets/posts deserve, so it is illogical to accuse them of greed. There are many people who are able to perform the same work at half the price. Imagine yourself in the market and finding two products, one of which is good and priced at $10, and the other is acceptable and priced at $5, so you will pay for the acceptable one. The beginning of the solution to this problem comes from people who want to join the advertisement. They must know that they are being exploited.
Sad thing is those hunters are underpaid but instead of not participating in it to show a protest, they in fact are using multiple accounts to cope with the low payment that they can potentially receive. It is the same from all other freelancing jobs in the internet, projects always want to get the cheapest as they are offering the same services. They are obviously being exploited but yeah we can't blame them since it's a repeated job and the money they can get maybe big enough depending on their country.

Don't let yourself be undervalued, just my 2cents.
530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has your Responsible Gambling had any of these Effects on You? on: August 31, 2023, 07:21:10 PM
Maybe it boost my mood from the entertainment I get from doing gambling. I don't stress myself on gambling games no more. I've been an addict before and it surely has a significant negative effects from my day to day life but today, I recovered and just plainly enjoying the gambling games one times a week or two. Using a little amount of cash and me trying to challenge and enjoy the games from casino makes me entertained for hours of doing gambling.
531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop Events, Testnet Events is not an investment! on: August 31, 2023, 05:14:55 PM
Also stop blaming influence-rs; if they make researches before making threads for readers; then as individuals, you should also make researches before joining any event (test-net or airdrop); while Remembering that nobody promised you millions for participating in their events.

I am open to differing opinions on this issue; what do you think ?

I do agree with what you said.
Don't blame anyone for risking your own money. First of all, we should do our homework first, on our own, and not just let influencers or social media bloggers do the job while some profit from just sitting and letting their money do the work.
As an average guy who gives importance to money, I won't just give away my money without making sure that it's a legitimate investment. There's always a way to check them out, the internet is broad and there might be people who already experience dealing with them with good or bad incidents, and that is where we could ask.
This forum is actually one of the good platforms to question one project and I have seen a lot of threads that were made here asking the questions that cannot be answered by Google.
There are so many different kind of crypto influencers out there, it should be our responsibility to choose who to follow and learn how to be responsible in things that we do because of the influencers we follow. Blaming them is just non-sense, they also mostly wouldn't be affected by your blames. Always check what you are doing and filter out the influencers you are following. First thing to do is to unfollow those paid influencers since they are mostly the one who don't make any sense and would put you into trouble.

Airdrop testnets today are purely speculations, don't believe on those who said that it's a guaranteed airdrop because you all will end up being disappointed.

As a gambler, who want to play in any new casino or any gambling site must be better if we are still Anonymous and not giving our privacy to them,  being an Anonymous gambler is preventing us to be scammed, because if you will give all your privacy like ID's, wallets and password and if the hacker or scammer have your personal and info it's easy for then to scam you. KYC is good but not too much.
Your personal information or your KYC verification has nothing to do with you getting scammed by a certain platform since they scam you out of your money and not your identity documents. Why would a platform need your personal information to scam you when you make a deposit into their platform yourself? If they are not legit or trusted and have evil intentions, they will simply not let you win anything or let you withdraw even if you manage to win something.

So, even though it's important to only join and gamble on trusted and reputable platforms, your KYC verification or personal information doesn't really have anything to do with you getting scammed since it's a cryptocurrency world and you can get scammed even if you are anonymous for them.
That's true. The money you deposited is their primary motive in scamming you but there are casino who really are doing their best to take anything with you including the identity you have. We know that documents like ids, photo of you, important information are sellable in the black market. I'm speculating that those casino who are scamming your money and also ask for a full KYC will sell the information they get in exchange for money. It's a double win for the casino.
533  Economy / Gambling / Re: Thought's on many major fiat-crypto payment gateways ditching casino business's? on: August 31, 2023, 04:03:35 PM
I think people who play at crypto casinos use more crypto by buying crypto first on exchange sites then sending it to the casino, it seems a bit complicated but I'm sure it's been a long time and is often done so people think it's normal and not there are things that are troublesome, even so something that is actually easy don't make it difficult.

Slowly fiat to crypto payment gateway will no longer be needed. Gambling with cryptocurency is more entertaining to me than fiats as I get no attachment with gambling with cryptocurency like I do when I have to use my fiats in my bank account and others might feel the same.

It's easier to spend crypto as there isn't much we can use them for apart from trading, staking or holding. Gambling with them give us an activity we can always look forward to spending our profits made from holding, trading or staking cryptocurency and hope we make gains.

Casinos should encourage more cryptocurency payment and let go of fiat to crypto gateway. They should integrate crypto deposit and withdraw directly and watch how their casino will grow because more cryptocurency users are looking for reputation casino to gamble on.
The detachment you feel when gambling with cryptocurrency? I get it. It is liberating to use digital assets as opposed to hard-earned currency. I've felt that raw adrenaline while trading and staking, then moving my winnings to the online tables.

Casinos, take note, It is time to progress. Crypto is not only the future, but the present as well. Abandon obsolete fiat-to-cryptocurrency gateways and board the direct deposit and withdrawal train. There is a market of cryptocurrency enthusiasts like us who are searching for reputable casinos to place bets in a responsible manner. Adapt or become obsolete. This is a sure wager, not a mere gamble. Let's effect change.

I feel that kind of detachment too when I use fiat in my gambling activities. I've recently played on a physical casino at our local place and I'm shocked that I'm very careful in every of my bets knowing that our local fiat is equivalent into something when you use it to buy something. It seems that after a long time, it's the time that the money I gamble just straight up came from my pocket which makes it hard for me to spend or lose in a casino. Maybe I've been drowned with the volatility of cryptocurrency that I don't really care about the value since assets fluctuate in prices.
534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Only good coins are listed on top exchange? on: August 30, 2023, 08:42:03 PM
No way Roll Eyes
The listing fees of the best exchanges are huge, so any project can be listed for money and it is not the best coin for that.
Moreover one should not rush to invest after seeing the listing on a good exchange because the development of the project will be more dependent on an investor.

There are many coins that get delisted from good exchanges because their volume decreases and investors decrease, the main reason being poor development progress.
Not all. There's a bunch of altcoins that were delisted during the bear market, most of those coins were listed during the market where everybody is making good profit so I think that the listing fee is not that much compared to the possible profit that developers can make on the market. Being listed on a top exchange can really have an impact to a token especially on binance LOL. I've seen many projects that are sky rocketing after it was listed on binance and of course dropping down as the hype expires.
535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cockfighting? on: August 30, 2023, 08:11:50 PM
Wait what? Cockfighting? I don't think any crypto casino has that available on them. Crypto casino has all the games that can be played online or some simulations that they can put which are based on probability. Cockfighting is a physical game that can not be implemented in any online platform. Or it won't the as fair as physical games.

Try to find it in offline casinos. Maybe they have that. But I don't know of any online platform that has it. I am curious tho. Why are you trying to search for this weird game?
It's a massively famous casino game in our country back then when it's still on pandemic and people are so boring that they rely in cockfighting casino to solve their boringness. I remember that when the online platform that only accepts fiat was banned in our country due to problems that a casino brings, sample problems are addiction, match fixing and of course tax evasion. Another online version platform where created immediately and one payment option is cryptocurrency. It was an underground cockfighting casino since our country banned cockfighting online casinos. I think they are gone now since there's no news about that casino or heard from it anymore.
536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About Altcoins Investment Experience on: August 30, 2023, 07:46:17 PM
I did invest in lots of altcoins and i received many tokens from bounties as reward. I experienced that, most of the tokens turns into shitcoin or dead after a few months. Some Altcoins performed very good for a certain time then all of those lost 90-95% of values and still traded on exchange with so called volume. Thus process is continued. Even top altcoins also replaced by new altcoins. 2017 vs 2023.

Moral: I think BTC and ETHEREUM is better option for investment, Can be trusted blindly, profitable for long. Low Ranked Altcoins, Memecoins and shitcoins are just headache and reason of huge losses in long time. But anyone can invest his money wherever they want.
It's the realitiy that bounty tokens are no longer worth it, they usually dies along the way even if they survive the early stage of their project. Try finding projects that you see a potential in, don't invest into shitcoin as they are the same that dies along the way. Altcoins purposes are evolving and problems of a top altcoin is solved by a new altcoin which is an improve one so no wonder why they are getting replaced. If you want to earn big on investment, try finding hidden gems in the market, those who has a strong potential to dominate the market in the future.
537  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Axie Infinity Philippine Thread on: August 30, 2023, 07:10:32 PM

Have you heard this news before one of the founders escaped by stealing a lot of PEPE tokens. Damn this will be a lot of drama.

There is another rumor that about PEPE that the founder of FTX-SBF helped set up PEPE.

https://twitter.com/Nebraskangooner/status/1694849312335749609

More and more attributed. Grin
There's a lot of FUD about PEPE but I'm amazed that the price didn't really go down significantly. Maybe the founders haven't really sold the stolen funds.

If this news are true, I'm really expecting it to be honest since there's a lot of red flags about pepe even if it's a meme coin, sooner or later they will do an exit scam knowing that all of the project team members and the developers are anonymous. This is why I don't really like memecoins/shitcoin since it there's a lot of way that developers can leave the project or abandon it.
539  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Hardware wallet survey on: August 29, 2023, 05:52:54 PM
Ano ang issue with Ledger?

Damn! pwede pala nila magawa yung ganto. Hearing this is negative feedback talaga yung ma rereceive nila kasi sobrang maapektuhan yung security ng mga hardware wallets na makakarecieve ng updates nila. Hindi lang dapat postpone yung gawin nila, need nila itake down yung plan nila kasi for sure bababa ng sobra yung sales nila dahil sa update na gagawin nila. I own a ledger wallet and di ako masyadong updated sa future releases nila. Too sad na possible pala na magawa nila yung ganito. Imagine if mapasok ng hackers yung cloud nila or even malagyan ng undesired virus yung update na ilalagay nila. Maraming possible outcome na pwede mangyari kasi nareveal na possible pala nila magawa yung ganto.

I bought 100 ARB coins for 0.9$. I hope this will be a good investment in the long run. What about you guys? Did you invest anything for keeping long?
I also bought some ARB to add to my portfolio when the dump happen. Meanwhile I'm still doing DCA to the other coins. There's no selling happened since I have a spare stable coin for investment. No matter where the market can go, we should be ready in it for us to maximize the market situation. Of course I'm doing DCA on bitcoin not only altcoins.

The bull market we are expecting are coming near, a little patience with our investment will hopefully bloom on the bull market next year or next next year.
