People come on to the forums to discuss and share information, both good and bad. Thanks for all the info here about oyster pearl. This is why you have to do your own research before getting into a coin.

25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If people stop buying bitcoin on: March 23, 2018, 06:01:18 PM
Bitcoin needs to establish itself more as a storage of value and not have as many violent swings up and down in order for people to continue to buy it.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is a good amount to invest? on: March 19, 2018, 09:25:06 PM
My rule of thumb is money that you don't need. That you can put in and not lose sleep over. If you're going to lose sleep over the money you have in crypto currency. You have too much invested.
27  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cloud Mining SCAM - Possible to steal BTC from my wallet? on: February 19, 2018, 06:57:39 PM
Other people can chime in, but anything that involves private keys is usually suspect. From what I understand, you supposedly created a new wallet with no funds, but then gave them your wallet with the funds in it? They could have done everything you outlined with just a wallet address. Wallet address to deposit your funds to fund the miner, wallet address to receive the payment from the miner. There shouldn't be any need for private keys. You should always be careful when someone mentions the need for private keys and be willing to lose the money you're risking. I hope you get your funds back.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Airdrops Profitable? on: February 19, 2018, 06:25:02 PM
Out of all the air drops I signed up for, I would say maybe only 10% has actually given me coins. Is that the same experience for everyone?

30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Robert Herjavec <Shark Tank> says his company cannot use the enemies currency. on: February 18, 2018, 09:37:31 AM
I agree 100%, technology is only as dangerous as the person that is using it. There will always be hackers in the world and they would anything in their toolset to get money. In this case, it just happens to be bitcoin. It is unfair for people to be smearing something because someone used it to profit off crimes. There is nothing dirtier than cash, that's why it was the preferred method of payment for criminals for so long.

33  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: consulting about an idea insurance for bitcoin fall on: February 17, 2018, 07:40:46 PM
Insurance usually involves big numbers and with the huge volatility swings that the bitcoin can do. You have a potential of everyone cashing in their insurance at once. Would you have the capital to cover all those claims? You also have to think about growing the insurance payment that people give you so that it can be used to pay future insurance claims. You're going to need at least two things. A mathematician guy who can run the numbers for you. Letting you how many people you can cover at what kind of risk to your capital. Another investment guy to take those insurance payments and grow it to cover insurance claims.

Here is a summary of what would be involved:

Another way for them to differentiate themselves from the hundreds of ICOs out there.
35  Economy / Economics / Re: Do we need regulations? on: February 17, 2018, 02:12:43 AM
Eventually this too will get regulated. Like everything else that involves money, regulations will come. It just harder and slower due to the nature of the Crypto blockchain technology.

Ouch, I never thought about how bad it would be to lose your Google Authenticator. You would think they have an easier to recover than this.
38  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Tips for Beginners on: February 16, 2018, 07:26:58 PM
Trade in coins that you believe in, so that if the market does tank. You hodl it and wait for it to come back instead of panic sell.

Bitcoin will end up being the digital version of gold.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin Doubles In Value since early February on: February 15, 2018, 11:55:50 PM
are LTC have something awasome news ?
because i cant see anything on their social media account.
just think maybe too late for buy a cheap ltc.
Yes it is, litecoin has some interested news for us just like litepay.us and lightning network implementation in the future. The litecoin hardfork can't be included in there due to the charlie lee and the team has made a clarification if that forks not from the team and then all of the litecoin investors can ignore that shit scam coin which will be issued by scammer,

Most of the new investment came from Coinbase. Which really means novice users heard about litecoin hardfork and was hoping to get some free coins out of the deal. Charlie should thank the litecoin cash Devs to help pump his coin.
