Snowgem is holding strong and sitting near the top of crypto calculators.
really? Its price has not shown strong movements upward recent days. A lot of other coins have crashed. Unfortunately, the difficulty of Snowgem is so low that whenever it becomes the most profitable coin, the increase in difficulty is very large proportionally and profitability drops quite a lot

Most small-timers have jobs or they wouldn't be able to survive. It's something fun to do while earning money without too much effort.

Do you have more than rumors that an ASIC will be available to mine Equihash soon?

I have read others saying this... but for such a new coin with low difficulty, the returns seem pretty low. I have mined 10 SNG in 7 hours with dual 1080 ti's........ not understanding
What's your hashrate? I'm getting about 1.5 per hour with a 1070 and 1070Ti.

It's not inconceivable that there are a number of working ASICs out there. The devs themselves owning ASICs or being paid by ASIC owners would be pretty wild, though. In any event, I think the benefit of hard forking to change the algorithm and remove all doubts outweighs the hassle of hard forking.

I can't seem to account for over 500 Gh/s worth of the network's PoW. As of writing it's 600 gh/s.
There's hardly 100 GH/s altogether on all the public pools I can find (zpool/hashbag/etc), is there a large pool I'm completely missing?
I suppose this has something to do with all the orphaned blocks and pools not finding a block for over an hour after getting multiple per hour.

Hey they said they were paying 10 % on the 2nd of feb. did anyone get coin. https://www.nicehash.com/miner/1JdC6Xg3ajT3rge3FgPNSYYFpmf53Vbtjeall my numbers are pending for a day 0 fucking coin. Repayment program × Current status Original Old Balance: 0.02658380 BTC Reimbursed pending: 0.00265838 BTC Reimbursed by now: 0.00000000 BTC Still to repay: 0.02392542 BTC Disclaimer: By reimbursing of your old balance, NICEHASH d.o.o. does not, in any way or by any means, assume liability for the damages occurred I believe your 10% is too small, need to hit a minimum before the payout. You may have to wait for another round of 10% and accumulate from there to meet the min payout That isn't correct ... Look at mine ... Original Old Balance: 0.00322985 BTC Reimbursed pending: 0.00000000 BTC Reimbursed by now: 0.00032298 BTC Still to repay: 0.00290687 BTC External wallets have a higher threshold to receive a reimbursement. You have an internal wallet so you get reimbursed with lower balance.

I am very unhappy with the projects that Dev uses premine to run Masternode
Especially with no idea when an exchange will carry the coin, who knows how large the premine+MN benefits will be. They actually have an incentive to delay listing to an exchange.

I'm failing to parse what the issue the OP is complaining about is about.
Might be they're spewing nonsence and I'm just not grokking it.
Just someone complaining about the ability to buy a lot of hash power from Nicehash. I seriously doubt $50 will get you much, though. Maybe a day's worth of mining from a $8000 rig considering how much a 1080Ti is earning right now.

Thanks for the reply.
Here's what zpool says for phi:
Mining on a single wallet at 7.8 GH/s, 95 miners Name Amount Diff Block TTF*** Hash** Profit* Lux (phi) 10.00170218 LUX 26.616 k 170 217 (1%) 4 hours 7.8 GH/s 0.01523
So it shows 4hrs.
Does that mean, that when the block is found by the pool (in average 4 hrs time), then all accepted shares to pool will get earnings?
Depends on the setup of the pool, proportional or PPLNS. But the general idea is that you get paid for how much you mine only if your pool finds a block. If you want to get paid more often, join a pool with a higher hashrate. However, each payment will be lower than those of your current pool. It balances out given enough time.

Odd mining results. 1070Ti and 1070 are both getting around 340 kH/s and sometimes the 1070Ti gets lower, even though its GPU and memory clocks are higher. I've never had this happen with any other algorithm.
Edit: --lookup-gap=2 boosted the 1070 to 430 and 1070Ti to 490. That seems about right.

Any good pools to mine this coin?
I've tried altminer.net just now and in the past and getting very low return comparing to my hashrate - mined VIVO in the past.
Just tried on zpool but return was very low in 1hour only 1coin with a hash power of 10mh/s. Not sure if it is related to the message that they are low on this coin? "We are short of this currency (0.80425471 HAL). Please STOP your miners and switch to BTC until we find more HAL blocks. YOU are responsible if you continue to mine for HAL despite this warning."
Does this mean that I mined almost for free all this hour? Any advise would be great.
Thanks
It seems like Altminer is getting 90%+ of the blocks. https://altminer.net/site/block?id=500

Anyone else having trouble unzipping the new wallet? Windows says it's invalid and 7zip says it's not an archive.
Edit: NVM, seems to have been a problem with my browser. I downloaded it 4 times with Firefox and it never worked, switched to Vivaldi and it worked the first time.

Sounds interesting. I'd be down to test if there are any slots available. I have Windows 10, Windows 7, Android 7.0, and a Fire tablet which run a bastardized Android 5.1.1.

I think polytimos is dead, when its not on a big exchange site. Nobody want to mine it when its not profitable ... And when nobody mine it, the coin is dead ! When it will be tradeable on a big exchange site ?
Straks and Galactrum are doing fine with Coinsmarket as the primary trading site. Give it time.

I like to come to this thread to check updates on this coin, but every time I come here, people ask the same exact question and I just want to bang my head against the desk. The answer is right here: https://github.com/straks/straks#the-swap-mechanics This link is right on on the first page. Everything is explained. hello shrekinator. But this is your only first post, right? You are new here. Sorry i forgot new account of old member..... I've been visiting this forum and this thread for a while, but I never found the urge to register until now. It's super annoying to see the same questions asked multiple times per day when there is already an explanation on the first page and people answering daily.
