Weak fud, you can do better than that.  Cheesy

Due to legal team we cant release our PoC Byteball light-client on IoT.

Anyone with good programming skills can direct message me for hints.

Ok, I can wait, in the meanwhile I'll run syncing the 3rd time.
Surprisingly, shockingly, only the iota developer, former Nxt scammer, has this problem with Byteball.  Cheesy

My Hub byteball.zuqka.info runs on Odroid (better than Raspberry) without breaking a sweat.: https://twitter.com/AvdiuSazan/status/878177562530385920

You too can do better than that Sato: You can call NXT with all names but calling it a scam it's pretty low.
Oh and please don't bring CfB in connection with it anymore.

Running for some months now 3 hubs 24/7 (out of 16 total https://byteball.fr/byteballworldmap.php)

byteball.me/bb
blackbytes.me/bb
byteball.zuqka.info/bb

If you want to help and keep them running (hubs run on paid vps) every byte is appreciated

Better than a partial screen shot. The full byteball world map is here :

Oh my  Sad Point of screenshot was to show the location and the link. Yes it's your map and I find it pretty cool. And that's all about all I like about it. You guys have to change the way on how to gain trust.

My hubs updated to 1.8.3  Wink

byteball.me/bb
blackbytes.me/bb
byteball.zuqka.info/bb

On byteball.me/bb and blackbytes.me/bb the default witness JED... is replaced with 7ULGTPFB72TOYA67YNGMX2Y445FSTL7O

That witness is run by portabella known in the slack and for helping discover first XSSes in Byteball.

See the link for details: https://byteroll.com/witness

Security and convenience Notice for users of these hubs

Further, the hubs and witness wont ever reveal your IP address as is done by the byteball.fr/worldmap. There is no logs on the above hubs, logs go to /dev/null.

Other hubs you can use is blackbytes.me/bb which isnt mine.

All IP are freely available from the database in any hub or any full wallet on any end-user desktop computer.

There is no "revelation" here. The info is open to everybody that can run a simple db query. We just display it in a structured maner for the benefit of all.

As always use TOR if you want to remain private. Nothing new under the sun.

Very shady to turn the other hubs in red, untrustworthy. Very shady to call your witness a "community-witness" when you color others red but yours green, those you show as red are the same people who helped you setup your witness.

You are trying too hard to gain trust of users, and by doing so is loosing at least my trust.

Use byteroll.com/bb the witness 7ULGTPFB72TOYA67YNGMX2Y445FSTL7O if you want security and privacy, your IPs will not be shown on a world-map.

He is very very shady and I for myself dont trust him too. Portabella on the other hand is one of the rare people that is always ready to help as much as tony helped me setting hubs or with questions related to witness.

These are my hubs, feel free to use them:

byteball.me/bb
blackbytes.me/bb
byteball.zuqka.info/bb

If you just want to help out the network running a byteball-hub or relay is enough.

I have set up and now operating a new relay on a dedicated box with 300Mbps unmetered bandwidth.
Address: wss://byteball.fr/bb
Location: France

I have more than 15 years experience with Linux sysadmin. I can set up a witness if the the community asks.

I am running myself a hub for 2 months wss://zuqka.asuscomm.com/bb
Would be grateful if you could post the instructions on how to set up a witness.

Well look at all the massive innovation going on the Ethereum platform!

What innovation? Since you are so well informed about eth and bash all other platforms!

....When I discussed this in the Byteball thread, the Byteball author Anthony realized there is a problem and started to talk about avoidance of needing to replace witnesses and how to have a community wide vote and other mechanisms for overcoming the inherent flaw (which means really he will end up needing whales same as for DPoS to avoid chaos so then you are right back to centralization and the failure of Bitshares and Steem again).....@tonych Huh

My first byteball-hub running on raspberry pi Grin

https://zuqka.asuscomm.com/bb

cool, but i tried to open the page: Upgrade Required.

did you follow these steps? https://www.gitlab.com/snippets/1548253

or could you please explain me what you had to do. thank you.
Hi Vlom,
When you get the message "Upgrade required" then you know for sure that the hub is set right and running, see the https://byteball.org/bb.
The link is to be added on wallet, under hub. The default is byteball.org/bb
I did follow the guide from portabella mostly but checked on other articles as well on how to install nodejs on raspberry since it's very important to install it right: http://thisdavej.com/upgrading-to-more-recent-versions-of-node-js-on-the-raspberry-pi/

$ sudo apt install nodejs
$ curl -sL https://deb.nodesource.com/setup_7.x | sudo -E bash -
$ sudo apt install nodejs
$ node -v
v7.5.0
$ apt-get install node-sqlite3 git logrotate
$ git clone https://github.com/byteball/byteball-hub.git
$ cd ~/byteball-hub
$ npm install
$ nano conf.js
Edit the fields, add you domain and change from false to true for hub:

exports.port = 6611;
//exports.myUrl = 'wss://mydomain.com/bb';
exports.bServeAsHub = false;

$ node start.js

Please follow this guide for letsencrypt: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-secure-nginx-with-let-s-encrypt-on-ubuntu-16-04
and tonych's guide of course: https://github.com/byteball/byteballcore

logrotate is already the newest version.
nodejs is already the newest version.
npm is already the newest version.

Ah great, this is progress, now it fails when running 'npm install'.

Hm, try to run "apt-get install node-sqlite3", installing from distribution package instead of this failure when node is trying to build it.

In case you like, private message me or join the slack to keep this Byteball thread cleaner.
trying to install ubuntu on rpi. Will get to you on slack thx

i think you know the current size of the entire Byteball database, do you? because i still was not able to install a full wallet i don't know. thank you.
It is about 650MB right now.

Witnesses get the transaction fees, my full node wallet hasnt received any meaningful amount of fees.

thank you. i hope that i will be able so set up a full wallet on my raspberry as soon as i am back home an have access to it. but i have to admit, that i am a GUI-user and have to learn a lot.

to set up a full wallet. do i need to follow these steps?
https://github.com/byteball/byteball
i tried it with my macbook. but i was not able to launch the wallet.
i struggled here:
Quote
Then run Byteball desktop client:

/path/to/your/nwjs/nwjs

Or is this all only for building the light wallet?

i feel a bit ashamed to ask these questions....

No need to feel ashamed this is new to many here me too.

Ive seen someone mention writing a guide on running these components, relay hub witness and headless wallet, get in touch with them they are on slack, even just getting input from you what happens when you follow the guide would be very helpful.

Yes, the byteball/byteball is for building the full and light wallets and can build android app.

You can use on raspberry pi byteball/byteball-relay or -hub of you want to help the network. Headless-byteball if you want to send payments programmatically and also help network.

The mentioned technical guide on running a byteball-hub is being written here https://www.gitlab.com/snippets/1548253

Have a look, follow it, and ask questions in the slack, the vision is the guide should be good enough to have a hub running on Linux in a short amount of time with high security.

You can join the byteball group on gitlab https://www.gitlab.com/byteball and contribute directly.

followed the guide but I get this:
servesbytesnet@raspberrypi:~/byteball-hub $ node start.js
-su: node: command not found
servesbytesnet@raspberrypi:~/byteball-hub $

tried:
servesbytesnet@raspberrypi:~/byteball-hub $ sudo node start.js
[sudo] password for servesbytesnet:
servesbytesnet is not in the sudoers file.  This incident will be reported.

FYI, newcomers!
Did you know you can mine NXT (and buy Ardor with it on the Nxt Asset Exchange!) in the Lucky node project?
Computational and bandwidth requirements are very low - some users run it on a Raspberry Pi.
Run the node 24/7 or as often as you can while you work or play.
Join in with the over 100 nodes that are already in the project.

My 4 Nodes (one of them on Solar) joined Lucky Node project and I get daily aprox. 100 NXT:

Last month someone was kind enough to give a step by step for using the blockchain.info wallet to sync with the byteball issuance. Could someone again please outline the step by step?

Thanks
