Sold all my XMR @ .0121 avg, 572btc worth. Will buy it all back at .005  Good luck, not gonna happen. Doubt we will see 0121 again even We'll see. When people say things like it'll never go below X that's exactly when it tends to happen. Going down to .005 seems too drastic at this point but I wouldn't rule out a retracement to 0.008-0.009 I am 99% sure you never get it back at .005 ever. I am going to call it early and say you made one of the worst decisions of your life selling quite early. Nor do I ever see Monero (XMR) going back to previous levels. I see a general gradual upward trend that is only continuing. Don't worry he will be back to tell us that he sold all his monero the next time he thinks were at a top. He completely full of shit. If you research my posts and you were informed, I predicted Ethereum would go from $1 to $10-$20. Here I am sitting on millions of dollars of various currency of monies while you are talking about something you have no idea about and putting words in my mouth. Get your shit straight. I'll listen to my own intuition and logic while I ignored your completely stupid one.  @Duomo, I'm not sure but it seems like you are picking a fight with capslock, who was actually supporting what you said. Lol, if capslock was actually supporting what I said, this individual is terrible at sarcasm. Telling someone is full of shit is terrible way to tell someone you support what they are saying. Mr. shortypants is gointa be in a world of hurt. I mean, that 160 btc sell wall at 016 absolutely reeked of desperation. It's just crazy stupid to try to front-run "sell the news" 3 days too soon. The punters haven't had a chance to buy the rumor yet.
Of course, that wall could be a genuine attempt to depress the price while quietly accumulating in the 150s. Which is precisely what a short seller would be doing. If that really was his break-even line or better, it worked. I would have thought accumulating in the 150s meant MrSP would actually be hoping the price would rise at some point ie long To be honest, I don't really do (or get) leveraged trade -- I'm rather old fashioned with regard to debt, borrowing and such -- so my trading approach is probably a bit simplistic in your eyes. |

This. And look forwards as well as backwards. As has been quoted here a lot recently, in 2011 BTC had its first break out and many of the early adopters cashed out "we'll never see prices as high as $32" they said, especially after it went back down to $5. The reason Risto esp mentions this a lot is because the circumstances for XMR are both similar and better than those in 2011; that's why most of the old lags here are not selling. Check out the registration date on my profile. I watched it all. Sitting patiently. WoW!! I imagine you have some wallets that bring tears to the eye. And bravo on still being here and still helping people. |

I imagine some of the larger holders just increased their holdings significantly as the trollbox went into OMGdump-a-drive They dumped all the way down to 0.013. Who would do that? And why? They could have sold for a much better price if they didnt do a massive market order dump.  I think it is more the herd...the trollbox is full of jittery pumpAnddumpers....more skittish than wild horses. |

That's a very interesting question. As something of a Sino-phile I can tell you that all investment opportunities are of interest to the average citizen (ie a lot more pragmatism, a lot less ego engaged), so if Chinese money isn't flowing in yet (and I think some is already, there are usually volume spikes around "this" time of day) it may well begin or increase as XMR gets more publicity there. You could only imagine what would happen to the price if OKCoin or Huobi decided to list. |

It's not a pump.
 I imagine it must be difficult for newer 'crypto-nites' to understand that there was a time this environment wasn't about 'pump and dump'. When there was just BTC (and then LTC) growth was always seen as natural with adoption curves that were either steep or shallow. With the proliferation of alts in 2012/13 there was an increase in PnD merchants (remember Fontas) and from there crypto has become the perfect investment environment for a generation with the attention span of a gnat. If an investment rises sharply it has to have been 'pumped' and any growth that is sustained is unnatural and must be 'dumped' within hours or days. I have always hated that terminology when I see it being used in the generic sense of a price rise whether or not manipulation is the motive force. But it is the same folks with the gnat sized attention span that seem to want to call it this. Also the idea this rise is some sort of market manipulation is dumbtastic. It's hilarious really. These idiots like to think that there are some nefarious whales in the background pumping up the price. But they never stop to think how much it would cost to cause a price rise on this level with this magnitude of volume just by market manipulation. For what reason? To what gain. But I suppose those of us who do understand basic math may stand to profit from these idiots. Now, to revive an old phrase from the 90s. There is such a thing as irrational exuberance. I am being very careful to try to recognize when it becomes a serious factor in the price... but it is so hard to do in the moment. Agreed. Of course what we are witnessing at the moment is momentum based on years of steady development and community growth that is now inspiring "irrational exuberance" - a much different factor than the "whale". And of course there is going to be a correction at some point (probably a few), at which point these same folks will cry 'dump'. I do blame Fontas for a lot of this, he implemented and empowered this style of lazy trading analysis -- in many ways it was genius because he understood these people couldn't take on board much more than pump, dump and whale. |

The XMR volume on polo is currently 50K....that is (by my rough calculation) about three times more than the sum of the volume of all the other coins combined.
XMR 24hr trade volume = $31,000,000 BTC 24hr trade volume = $66,000,000   WoWsers Let me see if I have this strait. XMR has 1/2 the volume but only 1/100th the market cap? We MAY have much higher to go yet boys (and girl). |
