IPO listed on cryptostocks.com https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=513484

Still paying bitcoins Sad

Scan QR to visit on mobile

I have cancelled all the pending trades where any of you have tried to buy ALTcoins using available BTC on the website, I will now transfer those BTC into a new balance called pending BTC so that new deposits will not be effected by the old mishap. Once that is done you have two options to withdraw those pending BTC either get shares from cryptostocks for that BTC or wait for slower withdrawal process to get back your BTC

Update 11/03 : Its been almost a week since some of you are waiting to withdraw your BTC, I covered as much as I can from my own pocket. Those who are not aware on what actually happened let me tell you, Someone manipulated the system and credited his account with fake BTC and then he bought coins from those who were selling them this credits the account with fake BTC thankfully the guy who manipulated was not able to withdraw alcoins or BTC because of manual withdrawals. Now everyone wants to withdraw BTC which they have in their account which actually doe not exists. At the time all this happened I tried to be nice to users and thought that I can cover everything from my pocket that was a big mistake, for a moment I had a thought to reverse these fake transactions, I wish I would have done that.

Situation at the moment : I have refunded BTC withdrawals to respective accounts so it can be used to buy alt coins. Except BTC all other coins withdraw working fine.

What is the plan now :

  • Raise some funds quickly
  • Pay the users back what is left
  • Get more secure website code

When :

BTC withdrawals will start within the next 24 hours
For the instant the current code of the website will be fixed for more security but a complete new code will be implemented very soon.

Released a few days ago, website is working fine trade volume is low at the moment but expect it to turn better I invite you to have a look on the website pmtocoins.com suggestions are welcome to make it better. We will be trading Perfect Money against ALTCoins. We are trading Bitcoin Litecoin Peercoin Novacoin Dogecoin Catcoin and PenguinCoin as of now.

Migrating server now please have patience we will be up and running soon.

While migrating server we messed up with some files and had to upload backup copy. So you might find some pages not working very well.

Some coins are not responding to RPC calls. Not to worry someone is working on that too.

IP ban system has been paused for sometime however your Ip is still being recorded for unusual activities.

If you have pending BTC withdrawal not to worry it will be cleared in the next cycle when we move funds from Cold storage
[/b]

Today we released 2 more bitcoins. Many of you might have received partial payments and some of you may not have received any, we are covering every bit and need your support

This is the update regarding delayed withdrawals

Today when I logged into the website the first thing I found  1 Auroracoin = 3000 BTC kind of strange I then checked the transactions and other audits to find a bug in the script due to which someone credited his account with 260 BTC fortunately he was not able to withdraw them because of manual withdraw confirmations. But what he did is bought millions of coins on high price this ultimately credits the account of seller with BTC and the seller is innocent here. Now we have withdrawal request of more than what we have as BTC stock. But nevermind we are filling it up and paying to those who are left. We may need some time for this(I am not asking for weeks) like a couple of hours. Current status : Only 10 BTC withdrawals are left which is not more than 7 BTC and will be paid soon.

TO EVERYONE WHO ARE USING OUR EXCHANGE ADDRESS TO WITHDRAW COINS FROM POOLS PLEASE UPDATE THE ADDRESS AS WE HAVE SWITCHED THE SERVER AND THE ADDRESS YOU ARE USING MAY BELONG TO THE OLD SERVER. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE OLD SERVER WILL NO LONGER BE ACTIVE IN 3 DAYS WE THEN WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR COINS.

As your first question of sending or receiving multiple coins you must have a daemon running in backend on the server and then query it with any language may be PHP, you can follow this tutorial for a idea on how it works https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=412425

Making new altcoin followthese links https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=225690.0 and https://github.com/bfroemel/smallchange/commit/947a0fafd8d033f6f0960c4ff0748f76a3d58326

you can set the max number of coins and other things on your own

290  Bitcoin / Press / Bitcoin Foundation’s Shrem Charged in Drug-Trafficking Case on: January 28, 2014, 01:19:41 PM
The vice chairman of the Bitcoin Foundation was charged by federal prosecutors with conspiring to launder more than $1 million in the virtual currency, the latest in a series of charges and forfeitures tied to the illicit online bazaar Silk Road.

Charlie Shrem, 24, was arrested yesterday at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. Shrem, of Cape Coral, Florida, was also chief executive officer of BitInstant, a Bitcoin exchange company. The Bitcoin Foundation was formed to oversee the currency’s software protocol and represents the industry before regulators.

Bitcoin was introduced in 2008 by a programmer or group of programmers under the name Satoshi Nakamoto. It has no central issuing authority, and uses a public ledger to verify encrypted transactions. It has gained traction with merchants selling everything from Sacramento Kings basketball tickets to kitchen mixers on Overstock.com.

“Truly innovative business models don’t need to resort to old-fashioned law-breaking, and when Bitcoins, like any traditional currency, are laundered and used to fuel criminal activity, law enforcement has no choice but to act,” Manhattan U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara said today in a statement. Bitcoin had dropped by 5.8 percent at 12:48 p.m., according to the CoinDesk Bitcoin Price Index.

Shrem has been a prominent Bitcoin evangelist in New York. His company ceased operations around July 2013. Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, who are currently seeking regulatory approval for a Bitcoin exchange-traded fund, invested $1 million in BitInstant. An e-mail to Winklevoss Capital Management wasn’t immediately returned. The company and its founders, Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, aren’t under investigation in this case, a person familiar with the matter said.

294  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Purchasing Large Amounts of BTC: Which Exchange is Best? on: January 27, 2014, 04:49:04 PM
I'd have to say Bitstamp were the 'best', but wouldn't trust any exchange with a large amount of BTC or fiat, hence the '' around the word best.
I'd go for cash in person as long as you are meeting at a safe, neutral location and you can find someone wanting to sell.

True, I like when you said "I'd go for cash in person as long as you are meeting at a safe, neutral location" if you go someone's house with fiat they may rob you. LOL
295  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling stake in Bitcoin exchange on: January 27, 2014, 04:39:03 PM
If the exchange was already in existence and one could view it and verify who the owners are etc etc etc then you may get some interest.

Selling 10% of basically an idea for 4 BTC is pushing it a bit wouldn't you think?

This is not an idea only I have setup everything and ran out of cash for the last few things, so if someone shows interest in being a partner the things will be up and running in no more than a week

I am thinking to CPU mine new altcoins with less difficulty but I am confused between cores and RAM. Is it RAM which give more Khash/s or cores or processor. For example I have a computer with 8 GB RAM and 1.7 GHz processor and second I have 2GB RAM with 3.2GHz processor which computer will generate much Khash/s ?

I have this configuration :

1x Intel® Xeon® E3 1240 v3

300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How to create a new coin ? on: January 25, 2014, 09:56:28 PM
Just for experimental purpose I am checking out how to create a new crypto coin but I am not landing up on a reasonable article. When I search on google "source code of bitcoin" I land up to github over here https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin to be exact do I need to change source of these files to create a new coin ? If yes then what files requires changes ? It will be grate if someone can throw some light on this.
