Anyone get refunded, or get their items properly loaded? I see Mr. Crypto Scammer at it again with a locked thread.

BUYER BEWARE ^^^

It is insane that he thinks he can still sell these coins in a public forum like this without getting any criticism.
3  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] 10 Original Rolls Casascius DIY Aluminum Coins + 200 Loose (1450 total on: March 17, 2026, 01:58:36 PM
Are you able to post any more higher resolution photos of one of the loose coins?  There seems to be something off about them.

4  Other / Archival / Re: WTB casascius coins. on: March 17, 2026, 01:03:15 PM

As you can see I haven't interacted with the forum for quite some time.

I was attempting to sell the attacker an unredeemed 1 BTC Casascius coin. In the process he managed to infect my computer

Can you share how they may have infected your computer? Did they send a link to a Zoom call or something?  Also through what platform were you in communication with the thief if you were inactive on the forum?  Was it Facebook, Telegram, or something else? How did they find you ,if not through this forum?
5  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [SELLING]1200 pieces Casascius 2013 Aluminum DIY Coin on: March 11, 2026, 02:36:44 PM
How much for a roll?
Because no one has ever sold it like this before, and I don't know how much it should be.

Current retail is around $30 for a single coin....

Extrapolate the price per roll and give a discount due to buying in bulk, I would think a roll should sell for around 0.045-0.050 btc at current Bitcoin price

Loose coins can be calculated in this way, but bulk purchase discounts cannot be considered for unopened coins. This may be the last unopened packaged coin, so it should be higher, right?

Typically bulk purchases come with a discount even for 'unopened' rolls for things like Satori chips, etc.  The best way to find out would be to do an auction for a roll, and then use that as a way to price future rolls.

The fact that you are bragging about AM's suggestion you are different people makes me think you are the same people.  This is not the flex you think it is.

Bragging? I was pointing out even his best bud knows we are different people. I basically stated that anonymous was just as much a blind, illiterate liar as Wolf was.

You think me showing a past remark made by anonymous is a flex? — I’m laughing considering you think anything anonymousminer says is a flex.

That doesn't mean you should be an idoit and join in a long list of accusations like you just did.

Listen, I understand you’re mad at the red trust I gave you. Too be fair I gave a fair warning, you just weren't smart enough to reach out to me, de-escalate or fix the behavior. What you did was out of line. You lack respect in alot of ways. Clearly, I have no patience left with the MOB or people who aren't going to respect a sales or auction thread.

I had given you a green trust a few months back, seeing your work and appreciating it. Took it away and gave you a warning. You didn't like it and retaliated with a red trust towards me and of course is was inaccurate. So I let ya have it. Just wear it proudly. I know Wolf likes the ones I gave him.

You don't understand what I'm saying. Because you are posting his comment here and elsewhere, it makes it seem like you care an awful lot about whether people think you are the same, and I think that by itself is suspicious.  The more you insist on you being different people makes me think you are the same (or as AM says, possibly controlling Howards account).

Either way, whether you are the same person, different people, or AI agents programmed to come across as idiots, you are both widely considered trolls at this point, and it's funny that you think I (or anyone else) care about whether you leave anyone a positive or negative trust.

7  Economy / Reputation / Re: Does "howardsentell" have ulterior motives behind creating his account? on: March 07, 2026, 03:38:10 PM
Well not only do you lie you must be blind or illiterate. Even your best friend knows we are separate entities despite his own lies, blindness, or illliteracy.

I truly think you to be incapable of a google search because I pop right up and so does Howard.

The fact that you are bragging about AM's suggestion you are different people makes me think you are the same people.  This is not the flex you think it is.

That said, I am considering stepping away from this forum, as I have experienced a level of hatred and harshness that I do not feel I deserve, nor do I believe anyone does.

The toxic environment for coin makers here is nothing new. It is why I haven’t released anything in more than half a decade. As a maker, at some point you begin to wonder if the community will ever change, but I’ve only seen it get worse with each passing year. Probably why not a single innovation has happened to this collectibles market in at least a decade while coin premiums and quality have only gotten worse with scams being more frequent. This is a trend that isn’t slowing.

Do you think that the community should not hold coin makers to a higher standard, when we've seen repeated instances of rug pulls, botched keys, using malware-laced keygen tools?  I guess we should just allow newbies to get scammed again and again, because we wouldn't want any new makers to feel any harshness or criticism while they peddle their terrible products here.

Also, I just realized these were coins with the private key applied , and not DIY.  As mopar has shown, this error was not caught on 10+ releases so far.

I noticed this within 2 seconds of seeing this picture that not just one word was misspelled, but two. The maker had no idea, and yet somehow managed to correctly generate and apply private keys to each of these 10+ releases with these holograms?  Good luck to anyone storing funds on these coins..

hybrid, what is your goal? Do you want to take this creator off the forum? When did you become a coin expert? I thought BTC was free open for all creators to share. A simple solution is not buy them. If you have a negative comment dont share it unless you want others to criticize your posts.

What is your goal in white knighting every negative post about this maker?  Are you invested in this company?  I would never have commented here if you did not criticize Mopar for calling out a very obvious mistake on the hologram.
10  Economy / Collectibles / f*D presents Event Horizon on: February 28, 2026, 06:39:34 PM
I believe the disclosure came after comments were already posted; otherwise, things could have potentially played out differently.

Yes f*D did acknowledge the error but then deleted their post?.

hybrid your comment is disrespectful and meant to undermine a creator. It doesnt work. FD will keep making great products. I believe this was a deliberate FD design. Use your imagination. If its an error be thankful you have a rare coin. FD your coins are amazing. How many hacks have chased off creators? If this continues soon there will be nothing to buy on the collectible board. I hope no one who commented negatively ever makes a mistake. I will take two FD.

If he misses two giant errors on the hologram itself, it would be a miracle that the keys would have been handled properly.

And whether the market agrees or disagrees, there is not a week that goes by where there is not another hastily designed, half-assed product coming out from this maker.  It dilutes the entire market and takes attention away from legitimate releases.

The laser work is sloppy as well.  Look at Mojo or Squirrelbits for quality laser work. This is just low effort amateur garbage in comparison to their work.  And I say this as someone who has purchased several items from the original Finite by Design, which were crisp and well executed minted coins.  The quality has dropped off so much, it's almost like the brand was purchased by someone else and lowered to Temu quality.

11  Economy / Collectibles / f*D presents Event Horizon on: February 28, 2026, 03:30:53 PM
It appears that the "I" is missing from both "VERIFY" and "FUNDING" on the hologram. I went back and looked at some of my recent purchases and they are missing on those coin holograms as well.

mo its better to ask the maker your question directly instead of sharing it with everyone. Would you want someone else to call out your mistakes on a loudspeaker? A true friend would want to help privately. This could be FDs intended design. What is your goal?

This is a public release of a product being sold, why would he ask that privately?

It looks to me like it was a typo and should be called out.   It's not like there is a lack of space requiring him to shorten it to "VERFY" (and if true, that is a very odd way to shorten the word VERIFY).

In reality this appears to the same kind of typo that is common with AI slop designs.  You can even see the gap where the "I"
should be but it was left out.  Also, for the side with the design, the laser appears to be set too powerful and the coin appears to be burned.  Just my $0.02.  Another shit release from an endless stream of shit releases from infinite by design.
12  Economy / Reputation / Re: Do you think a negative comment on the Casascius profile is fair? on: February 19, 2026, 08:17:25 PM
However, if this is a case of spending BTC at a lower value and then wanting your BTC back a decade later due to the value increase of the BTC, there isn't much that can be done.  A reminder that 1 BTC does not equal 1 BTC.

So hypothetically if Mike forgot about this shopping cart, and it was just holding all the BTC for these orders in a wallet, you're saying he should calculate the dollar value at the time of the purchase and refund only that? And he gets to keep the rest?  The items are denominated as costing 0.39 BTC, even today.

Now if the funds are gone because the site was hacked or lost access to those wallets, perhaps it would make sense to work something out that is more fair to all parties, but if he's holding those coins in BTC and simply forgot about them, he should return those 0.39 BTC back to the purchasers (assuming it can be verified somehow).
13  Economy / Reputation / Re: Do you think a negative comment on the Casascius profile is fair? on: February 14, 2026, 07:27:59 PM
Is it possible that this is still real and active to this day? It allowed me to enter information and make a payment… I think many people paid those 0.39… I believe it should have been taken down, but I still think the negative rating is unnecessary.

How is it unnecessary?  If you pay for a product listed as available on a website, and they just took the money and never followed up with a response or delivering the product, a negative rating would be exactly what should happen.  People give negative trust over much more minor grievances.

I remember visiting the Casascius site over 10 years ago and thinking it was interesting these products were still for sale. I even went so far as to start the checkout process (back when 0.39 BTC was only a couple hundred dollars). Luckily I did not, but how was anyone supposed to know? And how many others besides Chi have lost 0.39 BTC because of this oversight?

I don't distrust Mike or his coins (his contributions are legendary and can't really be overstated), but he is at fault here. To continue accepting funds and giving the impression that actual products are for sale is negligent, especially when there is no recourse for the buyer.

Hello,

Are you able to share a list of the 100 addresses in plain text?  I would like to add this series to makerwatch.space

I do see a lookup tool on the website but I am not able to easily extract them from the first/last bits.

16  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] MakerWatch.space - A New Physical Bitcoin Tracker & API (Early Release) on: January 13, 2026, 03:03:46 PM
hmm, okay
but could it be that the entire process/scan is not yet working 100%?
because, as you can see here, all 21 cards from this series were loaded on january 11, but MakerWatch shows that the last scan was 9 days ago and therefore the amounts are not yet displayed: https://makerwatch.space/#series-158

These are now appearing with the correct balance.  Since they were added to Makerwatch prior to their initial funding, they would have had to wait for the next full scan (which can take a couple weeks) to see that they have a balance.  I went ahead and triggered a instant rescan for the series.

I discovered this site today. Excellent work, congrats!!!!
I’ll send you the addresses of the missing Alpen Coin's series as soon as I have some time.
An excellent contribution to physical bitcoins.

Thanks Frank, looking forward to seeing your additional submissions!
17  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] MakerWatch.space - A New Physical Bitcoin Tracker & API (Early Release) on: January 12, 2026, 03:22:37 PM
@hybridsole are the stored BTC addresses for the respective makers/editions checked again at certain intervals to see whether they have been funded or peeled?
if so, at what intervals does the repeated scan take place?

Yes, there are 2 ways the site will scan addresses.  The first way is the "full" scan which checks an address for current balance and any spending transactions. This is done in small batches every few minutes (with newly added or oldest addresses first) to not overwhelm the public API providers. The site rotates through about six different API providers.

The second scan is a "block" scan that also runs every few minutes. It downloads the 2 most recent blocks added to the bitcoin blockchain and checks to see if these blocks contain any of the addresses we know has a balance (from the first scan). This is where most of the real time peel events are detected.

I am looking for ways to avoid relying on public API providers because they can ban my IP at any time and make the site mostly useless.  If someone here is hosting a full node with an accessible endpoint, let me know!  I am also thinking of standing up my own full bitcoin node but haven't gotten around to it.
18  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] MakerWatch.space - A New Physical Bitcoin Tracker & API (Early Release) on: January 08, 2026, 05:37:44 PM

what I was aiming at was the reverse really.

A link from the Icarus Buy Bitcoin Edition: https://makerwatch.space/#series-158

to

the relating page in BCT: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5570396.0 for anyone
to get more info regarding a particular piece.

... and thanks for the serial # addition

Oh yes, that is an easy thing to add via the 'edit' link on the series page.  It would just need to be added to the 'Description' section, which I have just done for that particular series.

Thanks for sharing this, it looks really good 👍
We’d love to be included in the tracker.

In our case, on https://doblebit.org
We’ve integrated something similar directly into the site: each artwork includes a small on-chain tracker showing the associated public Bitcoin addresses and their funding status.

Onchain verification and transparency are very important to us, so it’s great to see initiatives like this.

Nice work!

Thanks Doblebit!  I actually do have a few Doblebit series added so far.  https://makerwatch.space/#maker-Doblebit

One thing I noticed is that, of the three Doblebit series we are tracking, you have 100% funding rate (zero peels) which is very impressive.

19  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] MakerWatch.space - A New Physical Bitcoin Tracker & API (Early Release) on: January 07, 2026, 05:42:41 PM
i've finally done it and added all Icarus editions that are or were available for sale on Makerwatch, along with all the information and images. the only thing missing are the images for the two Hat editions: https://makerwatch.space/#maker-Icarus

@hybridsole it would be great if there was an option to see a complete overview for each maker of the total number of loaded addresses so that you could see how much Bitcoin is held in total on the collectibles

Great job on adding all the series, cygan!  It has saved a ton of work on my part, and also ensured the series are accurate.  I love the maker summary statistic suggestion as well, and have placed summaries for all makers on the main makers page: https://makerwatch.space/#makers

And additionally there are now dedicated pages for each maker, like this one: https://makerwatch.space/#maker-Icarus

Great site, very useful!

Would you consider making it  an option to have a link from each collectible to a site elsewhere i.e this Collectibles board?

I just noticed that on the AlpenCoin listing BF135 is not listed [I have it!]?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5491426

Code:
BF135   1MK6couLQ9xj4yy1jw34tW8dZQmZdkjxz4

Another great suggestion!  This is now available on any series/collection page for each address. You can copy either a direct link or a forum embed link.

Here is what the embed would look like on the forum:

MakerWatch Report
    AlpenCoin - Custom Buyer Funded

Serial #Bitcoin AddressBalanceLast Activity
BF135 1MK6couLQ9xj4yy1jw34tW8dZQmZdkjxz4 0.0005 ₿ $45.79 4 yrs ago

I am not sure why but your serial # was the only one that didn't get picked up when I added the series  Huh  But it's in there now.
