bounty close the problem is being solved by in-wallet pool
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Datacoin - Censorship-Free Data Storage on: June 21, 2021, 08:27:23 PM
Uh-huh, networkhashrate has collapsed.

in slightly more positive news, I recovered CrossVerse's "madpool" addition, after finally figuring out what it was all about.

It adds a pool server to the client and disables in-wallet mining, allowing the client to act as a local pool server to a local xpmclient GPU mining pool client.

I'm maintaining the code in a separate branch of the 0.16.3 called "poolserver" - in which in-wallet mining has been removed and replaced by the pool server which is started automatically on client startup.

It seems to work okay but it's difficult to be confident while the network is in its current state of disarray. I'll release the code once I'm confident that it actually works.

Serving:
The in-client pool server is configured by two additional options to add to datacoin.conf or the command-line, the default settings are shown below:
Code:
...
frontport=6666
serverport=11778
...

Mining:
xpmclient binaries for nVidia and AMD are available from the Primecoin repos release 10.5.beta1

The xpmminer config.txt configuration file uses the frontport value as "port", IP address is 127.0.0.1, replace the default Primecoin address with a (legacy) Datacoin address:
Code:
server = "127.0.0.1";
port = "6666";

# Your XPM payout address
address = "DEEboSDviJwFTEWK6VakNuvEz2jGoqc6uR";
...

One favourable implication of this is that it might open the way for a soft-fork migration to segwit.

Cheers

Graham

Hi, ive been searching everywere and cant find a working datacoin dtc gpu solo miner, theres a xpm solo miner here:
https://github.com/primecoin/xpmminer
but i cant modify it to work proparly with datacoin or even compile it with no instructions.
so im payng to someone to do the job, i need the amd linux miner, the amd windows miner and the nvidia miner for windows...
the first to compile a working miner gets the money in whatever coin you like, coins with low fee like trx,ltc,doge and so on.
the coded work its virtually done just needs adjusting to allow the miner to send correctly-constructed bocks to the datacoin chain.

Why you not ask or write to the xpmminer and the Primecoin Dev , or did you done that already ?
Guess if you friendly ask him maybe he can do something for you and you get it right done as you want.
Got a few conversations few years ago with him and he is a nice guy. Should be worth a try.
its not for primecoin its for datacoin, i dont think it will help

And the income on the pool does not correspond to reality, half is paid less than positively

 mining calculator
Your CPD:22000
Difficulty:8.8498
Include pool fee (4%)Calculate
day: 47378.786 DTC

but I get only 25000 DTC
i think there a problem with the pool too,
balance 75825 paid ever 31151
worse then half
now i notice whats going on with the pool ...it only makes 40payouts and 40requests so the balance stays there and its payng even if i dont mine because it still have balance its only 40payments of 50dtc and what i mine its bigger then that a day

And I still can't send my dtc
I do not know what to do and how to take coins from the wallet
Turns out that the wallet is hard-coded by default to use segwit addresses and on a non-upgraded network, coins sent to segwit addresses are lost.

Don't use the 0.16.3 client, revert to either the 0.8.6 client or the Crossverse 0.15.99 client.

I've withdrawn the 0.16.3 release and deleted the repository as it's clear that supporting this particular upgrade is beyond my skillset.

If you have coins stuck on segwit addresses, PM me with the relevant 0.16.3 client privkey and I'll replace your coins.

Sad but true.

Cheers

Graham

thanks for the support Wink

The pool seems to be repaired, it works fine, but now the wallet only works to accept coins to send from the wallet, it is impossible not to send
