Sometimes I feel like every page between the front and current should be auto-pruned (since no one reads them anyway)  Roll Eyes
I told my wife, 3 days ago, that someone was going to ask that question  Cheesy
At least wasnt me. Because I ve learned that from you before!!!!

But still intrigued about the luck definition....
3  Economy / Service Discussion / Hidalgo company. Dont trust on that company, even the vice president on: January 23, 2018, 06:52:16 PM
I was doing a price negotiation over the phone with this company, for a Colocation service, and speaking through the phone and e-mail with the vice president of the company, one of the things that he said, was about the colocation price setup. He said it to me 100 USD per equipment.

We hang up and then, he sent me the e-mail, with the agreement and prices. But I realized that the price over the sheets was 200 USD, not 100 USD. So, when I asked him about he said: Oh, I ve tried to keep that 100 USD, but I did not receive the proper permission to keep that price. Sorry but we cant stand for our word.

Anyway, don't look for a serious company if you go for this company. Even the vice-president.

Kind Regards,

I think "patron saint" is a title is reserved for the guy who's investment could buy my house and acreage 4 times over, but I'll take the compliments where I can get them.  Cool
ComputerGenie, please keep helping us increase our knowledge. After that 100% diff that we reach, we still keeping getting more then the 100 diff, its about the luck thing, is that right?

How does this thing luck work in our environment? Its real luck or just just something like:

This round we had to mine 110% of the diff, then for some next round, we are going to take 91% of the diff. I mean, its REAL luck or one time will be compensataded?
5  Economy / Service Discussion / 50x Antminers S9 in Louisville KY on: January 23, 2018, 03:25:33 AM
Guys, hello everyone.

I own 50x antminers s9 at Louisville KY and I would like to know if anyone has a space to host my miners. I am facing some challenges to put them to work. All about not enough electricity.

Kind Regards,

Man, I have to say, I love you. Thank you for increasing our knowledge.
7  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [6PH] ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool on: January 22, 2018, 05:32:49 PM
Guys, when we hit 100 diff that means that we are about to find a block in anytime. Is that correct?

CK, first of all, TY for your answer, time and efforts.

In my point of view, you are the captain of this, you want this or not. So, when some dumb guys like me come here and make some writings without knowing about what they are saying, you have several options....

The way that I ve come, was only making genuine questions because, like I said, I want to be part of this, I just don't understood completely. But with your contribution, I have learned a little bit more today.

One sec.

...makes my head hurt when i try to do an apple to apple comparision with something like slushpool.
For every 1 apple you earn, slush would give you less than 0.98 apple and here you'd get 1 apple.  Cool
This is not what he is looking for.

Here he is going to receive his 1 apple after how many days working? This is also that we need to clarify for the really noobies (I am one of those)

EDIT:

I am saying this because I have 675 TH in antminers S9 (for me its a lot of money), I did a test with 4x at ckpool and I still did not received a penny for it. I know that some point I am going to receive, but at BTC.com pool I am receiving 0.0964532 per day....

I think CK pool can be more profitable, but I am still without knowing how.

EDIT 2:

This explanation from http://give-me-coins.com/support/faq/what-is-pplns/ is a good one for the PPLNS method.

EDIT 3 : I need more help to understand why ck-pool is better than BTC.com (talking about profitability)
10  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BLOCK PARTY] ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool on: January 06, 2018, 05:33:49 PM
....EDIT: you are saying that this derp from ck = 0.00481861 its something like 0.00481861 x 5 = 0.02409305. In other words, I will receive 0.02409305 split for the next 5 blocks?
...
OK lets use simple numbers to keep it simple...

Lets pretend it takes a total of 1,000 shares to find 1 block (and to keep it simple, we'll pretend that it always takes 1,000 shares)
If you mine and submit 10 shares (and you then stop mining):

You get 1% of the payout in block 1
and
You get 0.5% of the payout in block 2
and
You get 0.333% of the payout in block 3
and
You get 0.25% of the payout in block 4
and
You get 0.2% of the payout in block 5

All for those 10 shares of that 1st needed 1,000

Note:None of these numbers are real and only for demonstration of how the system works.

i GOT IT!!! Ty for this man. I really appreciate that.

...my derp was 0.00481861. With the same hashpower at Nicehash I made .0089 and .00931 at BTC.com.  ...
You're comparing apples to oranges. You're looking at what you will get from the current block (out of the next 5) and comparing it to what you got in total somewhere else. Granted, you'll not get a total of 5x the amount of the next block, but you have to remember that the next block is just a fraction of what you will get in total.

Can you please tell me more? I mean, draw an example? with numbers?

EDIT: you are saying that this derp from ck = 0.00481861 its something like 0.00481861 x 5 = 0.02409305. In other words, I will receive 0.02409305 split for the next 5 blocks?

EDIT2: I am not a fast learner and I have no shame of that Sad, shame I have to not understand something

What is network diff? I want to learn that to feel comfortable and be capable to do the math by myself. Now I can see that the hash is 6.12P. What is the relationship with the hp and the network diff? Why u say that if we have more hp in your pool would decrease this time.

EDIT:
If I have started yesterday with 54 TH, so only after those 80 days that I will be in my max performance?

Network difficulty is the current difficulty share required to solve a bitcoin block.

bitcoin-cli getmininginfo
{
  "blocks": 502754,
  "currentblockweight": 9280,
  "currentblocktx": 5,
  "difficulty": 1931136454487.716,
  "errors": "",
  "networkhashps": 1.384324312220417e+19,
  "pooledtx": 33864,
  "chain": "main"
}

Note the difficulty value is 1.9 trillion. This means it takes on average 1.9 trillion shares to find a block. When the pool's stats show "herp" equal to 5x that value, it will have plateaued. As hashrate rises on the pool, we find 9.6 trillion shares faster. Most of your performance will happen in a lot less than those 80 days, more like about 20 to see the bulk of the effect, but yes, the maximum you can earn currently will be if you mine here continuously for 80 days. It's the only way to guarantee fairness for people that have been consistently mining here. We're hoping for more hashrate on the pool to keep bringing that value down.

CK, Can you please take my hand and help me more to understand? I feel that I am asking you to draw LOL. I was tracking my progress in your pool, and I ve started mining 01-04 at 8:13 pm and at, 01-05 8:13 pm my derp was 0.00481861. With the same hashpower at Nicehash I made .0089 and .00931 at BTC.com.  Can you please explain to me (I really mean it because I am not understanding  Embarrassed) when your pool is more profitable with 0% fee?

I need to understand better your system before I move back again man Sad

I read like 26 pages before this message. How long it takes to reach the 100% dep performance? I was doing my math and was more than a year? Is that right?
