What about ASIC Resistance?
The Discord ASIC Resistance Channel is spammed to a point of making it inconvenient for a developer to respond to my questions. I ask for an update and if they have used PROG Proof of Work on a Test Net but NO response; NO update; nothing!
I honestly don't want to interrupt developers and let them do their job rather than spend their time responding to guys like myself who's asking for an update regarding their work on ASIC Resistance. If a developer wanted to even find my question to them about ASIC Resistance, they would have to comb through at least one hundred posts in the ASIC Resistance forum on Discord. That takes valuable time away from developers to actually work on ASIC Resistance.
Bottom Line: The ASIC Resistance forum on Discord is full of spam from Pro ASIC and Anti ASIC rhetoric that allows no convenient communication with developers in a meaningful and profitable way for all of those involved in the discussion.

It certainly would be helpful if you could find out some kind of update for us, please. It would be nice if you could keep us updated on ASIC Resistance WHILE allowing developers to do their work on ASIC Resistance; if they are actually doing any work in that regard.
Is there a team devoted solely to development on ASIC Resistance? If so, where are they at this point? If no team appointed, then why not?
Can you please ask the creator of the Discord server for ZEN to create a forum ONLY FOR CONFIRMED DEVELOPERS? This way they can post updates on ASIC Resistance WHILE BLOCKING others who are not developers from spamming the forum.

probably because 8.5% of block reward going through marketing and hype,paying high fee to get listed here and here and shill how zen is accepted by everyone while anyone could accept shit if they pay the price lol. also centralized node had no utility at all except giving free money in the idea of buying more node(if this is not a ponzi..) eventually handfull of people will control all zen market You only have a vendetta for being banned from Discord and no logic; only bias. Do you guys think we found a bottom for now? nope. It may even go under USD$14.00 before slightly go up again by the end of September. The price wont go over USD$30.00 again in 2018. I'm not sure how anybody can make suck claims, especially in the Crypto World.  its the easiest market to predict ! |

Is there a tutorial to upgrade the Swing wallet? Don't laugh at me I know it's newbie-level question but I am a new Linux user and it's not so easy to move from Microsoft Edit: sorry I found it on the documentation.zencash.com . It's finally very easy  if its like the previous upgrades you just download the new one and install it. |

I've read the official update guide for 2.0.14, and when I run "sudo apt-get install zen" on my VPS, it gives me "E: Unable to locate package zen", can anyone point out what I'm doing wrong?
it can find the repository apparently. Did you use the "official" guide when you created that node ? Thanks for the answer. I was using the guide from 'Block Operations'. Now I re-installed zend with the guide from 'official ZenHelp', and it seems zend has been updated to 2.0.14. " To upgrade from any version prior to 2.0.14 you will have to re-clone the repository. The ZencashOfficial/zen repository was replaced by a new repository based on Zcash upstream with a different commit history, merging/pulling is not possible without issues. The 2.0.14 release of ZenCash is now available for Linux
The zend software on your nodes must be updated before the June 28th deprecation when the current version will stop working. The method you need to use to update depends on how zend was installed. There's a new mandatory update required for all securenode hoster. Why do people continue to buy a coin that is being banned? I think bitcoin private offers a better brand and optional privacy features, far less likely to be banned and actually scalable for mass adoption.

So my conclusion: to prevent this happening again it is better to fork as soon as possible and please not to an algorithm already used by any coin with more value then Zen. Doing this to protect the network from more attacks should be the main priority for the Zen team.
the real problem here is the lack of vision from the devs. They should have had another algo with a procedure ready to go a long time ago. |

Im moving my cards on Lyra2REv2 today. What are you all using for this algo ? The last time I mined it I was using an old fork of ccminer made by the VTC devs, is it still good enough ?

I think this is not really very good idea, unless you know a very secret coins with high profit.. and the reason of this is Nicehash, there are plenty of Lyra2rev2 power available there at very attractive price another noob... |
