Ok, I gave away 10% of all the EAC I had with transaction ID: f59955960c28fd5cef1566f64151acd90fe28904ccf546dcdf36b52f1624e0c6

This is a very clever way for marketing and making people wanting to get EAC... I'll wait to see what happens to my wallet now. Smiley

782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN]PLEASE STOP DOING MORE COINS, THATS BAD TO ALT COINS on: January 05, 2014, 05:10:09 PM
My guess is that it is completely unacceptable to even think of creating boundaries for crypto currencies. Then there will be no difference between crypto currencies, and banks/governments. Some will owe a large part of what is already existing and no newcomer basically will have the chance to get some of it.
Myself I have some bitcoins. Days back it was really easy to get them, nowadays people have to invest fortunes to put their hands on it. It wouldn't be equitable, neither would serve the idea of freedom which crypto currencies are stating, that someone would just stop new currencies, and the few us who have heard about them in time have basically a lot of wealth for nothing (because let's be honest, our investment was absolutely nothing compared to those who have to invest today in it).

I hope the day this happens, all crypto currencies, including BTC will drop to zero (even if I owe some too). Because I really believe in the message crypto currencies are trying to send out to the world, and when they will be "regulated", "limited", "owned by a few", etc. the entire concept will die.

Free market will regulate the appearance of new crypto currencies anyway, you don't need to worry about it. They are currencies, which will never get to exchanges, and even if they will, they will die out almost instantly. People who are investing large amount of hashpower to get the kick-start hoping it will be THE next bitcoin will have their second thought after a few trials and errors. Same will be true for people who are investing money in them on the exchanges USD or exchanging their trusted coins. Speculation is fine, because in a free market it's the fastest way to separate real value from fakes, and the quickest way to point people's attention to where they should really invest.

Vive' altcoins!  Smiley

784  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: question about backing up and securing bitcoin qt wallet on: January 04, 2014, 07:37:28 PM
First encrypt your wallet.

Then locate the file wallet.dat. Assuming you are using Windows it should be somewhere on C:\users\YOUR USERNAME\Appdata\Roaming\Bitcoin. Copy that wallet.dat in as many secure location as possible (you can even email it to yourself for example).

Of course before you backup the wallet don't forget to transfer the money to yourself so you don't back up an empty wallet  Smiley
785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Contest to name the 0.0001 BTC unit (0.1 BTC prize!) on: January 04, 2014, 12:40:39 PM
Really, not because it was my idea, but so far I think the best and most marketable way to denominate bitcoin is to use the threeObitcoin, fourObitcoin, ... whatever number of zeros are after the decimal point before the first bit.

Bitcoin is used by regular people too (at least hopefully it will be used), not only by you guys, who are staying on these forums all day, and are experts in mining, programmers, mathematicians, etc. Common people understand easiest something which is DESCRIPTIVE. On the other hand if we start to give names like satoshi to each fraction on bitcoins I bet that even we are going to be messed up about all the denomination (remember, we are talking about a very unusual currency with a lot of decimals).

Also, I'd like the emphasize again the importance of having the wording BITCOIN in the denomination. Crypto currencies are still not safe from banks and governments, basically they'll always be against their interest. So I think is crucial to make them MORE AND MORE popular for the common people also (not only some experts, miners, traders), in order to make it un-stopable. It has to be a social thing, people should understand it easy, etc.

Try with the following: I have changed some values, and removed some.
Once you start with this then please try to add thread-concurrency and increase the value until you can (up to 24000). After that try to increase intensity to 20. Forget about shaders.

Ps.: Also make sure that the config file is loaded correctly and no error message appears when you start cgminer.

threezerobitcoin, trizebitcoin, triobitcoin, trinbitcoin, trinubitcoin, trizibitcoin, trezebitcoin - or some other variation of the same theme; the idea is that 0.0001 is composed of THREE ZEROS (000) followed by one bit (1); of course variations are written as they are pronounced, not gramatically p

My personal favorite is triobitcoin or threeObitcoin (toBTC). I think that it would be very important to add the word bitcoin into this, instead of calling it satoshi, jimmyes, etc... because it will help promote the currency and make more people familiar with it. Let's not forget that the more people are going to use, the more places it is going to be used the less chances are that govs will be able to stop it.
The other reason why I really like this version is that many people have problems remembering the number of zeros following the decimal point. This way the denomination would actually contain it, so there would be no missunderstanding.

bitpence (altough pence should refer to 1/100 part of it)

biteight/eightbit - because if we reverse the decimal part of 0.0001, we get 1000 and that's the binary equivalent of 8 (I think nothing represents more a digital coin that including in its name some binary stuff). This I think it's to advanced and many people will not understand it easily.

Powertune 20, means that it increase the power which is taken from the motherboard by 20%.

With one card you definitely shouldn't use this feature, unless you are overcloacking the gpu-engine, and gpu-memclock... You should be able to get out about 630 khash/sec with the right settings btw.

790  Economy / Auctions / CryptocoinsTrader.com - FOR SALE on: January 01, 2014, 06:48:00 PM
Hello everyone,

I have THE domain name CryptocoinsTrader.com. I consider this to be a premium domain name and a very good one to achieve possibly good rankings. If one builds a website accordingly to the domain name can make lots of money.

Auction will start from 10BTC, and will end on 31 January (or sooner if anyone offers 100BTC).

793  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMiner - how to stop difficulty increasing? on: December 31, 2013, 11:05:31 AM
So if there would be a tweak on the cgminer end, which would submit at difficulty of 16 for example all the time, but the pool is expecting a higher diff value, then are you sure that all the shares submitted with 16 will be ignored?
794  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / CGMiner - how to stop difficulty increasing? on: December 30, 2013, 08:55:34 PM
Hello everyone,

I want to make an experiment. I want to keep my cgminer to mine with difficulty level 16, as it is when it starts... It quickly goes up after that ( I have a 3 x 7950 Sapphire mining rig).
Is there any way that I can tell cgminer to keep the difficulty level at 16 even if the pool wants to adjust to a higher number?

Any help will be greatly appreciated...  Smiley
795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Who's still CPU mining? on: November 19, 2013, 04:51:14 PM
I am also using CPU mining (for the second day only, so very new), for mining litecoins.... but results somehow fails to come.
796  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC to hit $1000! on: November 18, 2013, 10:29:29 PM
My guess is that it's gonna be so much more than $1.000... bitcoin offers advantages that no other currency can offer.

Plus, don't forget: there is only a LIMITED amount of bitcoins, but in reality they are a lot less (because so many lost their passwords to their wallets, and those coins are gone forever). So bitcoin is a rare treasure Smiley
797  Other / Beginners & Help / Mastercoins - want to buy on: November 14, 2013, 09:25:41 AM
Hello everyone,

I would like to buy Mastercoins. For this the best thing would be to be able to post on https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=287145.0 topic, but since I just registered this is not possible. Sad
I am not sure if I can PM Pouncer neither for escrow help.

Is there any way around it? So I can start posting there trade offers, PM Pouncer, etc.?

Thanks,
Attila.
