You have a $600 phone you're trying to sell for $400 on another thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1257394.0
944  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 0.5% fee anonymous solo bitcoin mining 127 blocks solved! on: November 21, 2015, 11:44:44 AM
Is there minimum hashrate ?
I am planning mine with 90 ghs as a lottery Smiley)
No minimum, but I'd rather not see anything smaller than a block erupter of 300Mh...

I have a computer with OLD,very old graphic card i can start mining on it Cheesy LOL

No, I doubt if it will do even 50Mh he said minimum 300Mh Cheesy. If you want to get involved but dont have much of a budget look at block erupters for 300Mh and are cheap on ebay or check out Gekkosciences Compac sticks 8-16GH which are much better and not much more money: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1126705.0

You can run then standard @ 8GH from a usb port on your computer or change frequency and run at 16GH with powered hub and cooling. Either way they're a bit of fun for not much money. People have achieved 20GH+ by volt modding them. They use a single Antminer S5 chip and are a bit of fun using either BFGminer or cgminer software Smiley.

And this with a $600 phone in hand Roll Eyes.

947  Economy / Goods / Re: [$400]Samsung edge S6! [BTC or PayPal] on: November 21, 2015, 10:59:27 AM
Not only this but I've just checked ebay.com and these phones are selling for around $600 so alarm bells are already ringing for most people why yours is so cheap?
948  Economy / Goods / Re: [$400]Samsung edge S6! [BTC or PayPal] on: November 21, 2015, 10:48:10 AM
OP I wouldn't waste your time on here as no-one will buy it whatever you provide. I'd recommend you sell it on ebay or somewhere else then buy BTC with the money if you want to. People are very wary to deal with newbies on here and its not surprising really, scams are being done for $1 or $2 so an expensive phone is pretty much a non starter.

The only chance you possibly have to sell it on here is if you provide some good pictures and offer escrow or possibly sent to a very trusted member first if any of them are interested.

Sorry to be blunt but that's just the way it is around here, far too many scammers trying to make a fast buck.
949  Economy / Collectibles / Re: SOLD: silver wallet 1oz silver coin super low serial BUY THIS THING@@@@#! on: November 21, 2015, 10:41:17 AM
Coin arrived in the post today Smiley, postal stamp says it was posted on the 10th November. I've changed my negative trust to positive as it has arrived eventually, however it has taken 5 weeks to arrive and communication has been poor.

Can anyone that's also left him negative trust please remove it at your earliest convenience, thank you Smiley.

950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel about the negative reputation of the bitcoin currency? on: November 21, 2015, 09:26:33 AM
The reputation of bitcoin with the general public is in the gutter right now, I don't think it can go any lower. In fact I'm embarrassed to even mention to people its an interest of mine in case they think I'm into it for the wrong reasons Sad.
951  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Bitmain Antminer S5 on: November 21, 2015, 09:11:50 AM
Yes I'm interested to know about this too.

I thought it was near on impossible to be scammed on physical goods with eBay and Paypal.
952  Economy / Goods / Re: WTS: 1 Samsung Edge S6 & iPhone 6! on: November 21, 2015, 09:08:58 AM
I'll repeat the same as I said on your other thread:

Being a newbie, you need to post photos with your username and date in view otherwise no-one will believe you even have the phone.

I am so excited about this, I have my hub and pi2 ready to go and just waiting for my stick miner. Downloaded the custom minera and have a hub ready to go, what frequency is the best for 24/7 no shutdown ? I can add a usb fan if need be but I plan on actually making a usb 24/7 miner. I am a home miner and I turn all my miners off during the day this happens to be my lotto miner (so I can switch other miners to pools) and keep it on 24/7 while adding more and more sticks while being away. I am going to keep it on a metal rack but I need to make sure it can't get anywhere near dangerous.

Thanks!

Hi, I've been running 2 sticks for well over a week now at stock voltage and 300MHz frequency with very few hardware errors ( 1 or 2 in 24 hours ). They are running on a USB 3.0 powered hub and have an arctic USB fan for cooling. I'm getting 16GH per stick average speed. My best share so far has been 9.4M Smiley.

P.S. I cant wait for my other 3 to turn up and join the party! Grin.

I know these will never find a block but its been fun tinkering with them and the software. It brings back good memories Smiley.

956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a waste of time mentioning Bitcoin to friends and family? on: November 20, 2015, 11:09:52 AM
I don't know anyone else outside of this forum that's interested in crypto. I have brought it up in conversation once or twice with people but they aren't interested so I don't bother anymore.
957  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain Antminer S5 Setup [HD] on: November 20, 2015, 09:34:27 AM
Please note: I do only have this one running so doubt this fan would perform adequately in a multi miner / hot environment.

What is your ambient?

Today its about 13/14 degrees C or 55/57 F. Outside its 5 degrees C and there is no other heating on. Board temps are 53 C + 56 C and fan is running at 2280 rpm. Its keeping the chill nicely off my 10'x10' office and kitchen which it leads on to because the door is always open Smiley.
958  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain Antminer S5 Setup [HD] on: November 20, 2015, 12:03:38 AM
For the record the Noctua fan has been working fine for over a week now. Much quieter than the stock fan Smiley.

At stock (350MHz) it runs at 2200-2400rpm and is probably half the standard fan noise.

Software showing no higher than 60 degrees, more like 54-58.

Please note: I do only have this one running so doubt this fan would perform adequately in a multi miner / hot environment.

Hi, i had 5 of the compacs running, then switched a few around for better airflow, and 1 of the 5 wont start to hash - (it was previously)

The green light is on, nut no blinking.

I started with a different USB 2.0 powered hub- it was from the old BUYAHASH I found in microcenter which claims to be able to push at least 1Amp per port, and was running in cgminer fine. - unsure of how its able to push at least 1 Amp per port? it is 5Amps total i think?

here is the link to the hub page at microcenter and a breif description:

http://www.microcenter.com/product/431863/10-port_usb_20_hub_w-_power_supply

"Need a cheap, high powered hub? This is the best one weve tested that is compatible with Raspberry Pis and other devices that require the older USB 2.0 protocol. Made by the same manufacturers as our 20-port hub, this model is noticably cheaper, while still ensuring that every port gets the power it needs.Included is a 12v/5a power supply, USB 2.0 cable, and hub. This model is designed for ports that require a high amount of electricity, and should be able to provide at least 5v/1a, or greater per port."

Then connected the ras pi running the modded version of cgminer for the compacs and all 5 were fine and hashing.

Is there a way to reset that one that doesn't hash now?

I am just running them at freq of 175 and the potentiometer is top left corner on each (flat part)

The other 4 are hashing at around 9.5 to 10 GH/s each

thanks!

and those little fan are amazing I use two . and very cheap and work like a beast. keep my compac super cool lol .

What fan is that please?
