This is how exactly I migrate my wallet to another machine or to new VPS, I wonder if there are some ways to migrate it.

How to move my identity address to another machine?

In order to run the node with your existing address on another machine, make a copy of your node's private key. You can find the private key file in the directory where the node is located:
./datadir/keystore/nodekey
Copy the nodekey file to the new location and restart the node there.

Hey I was reading about the flips and there is this example illustrated below. Is the story: there is a potted plant, the cat knocks it over, water in floor, sponge to clean up? I just want to make sure I am ready to solve flips before validation time.
Great job but honestly I took me a while to understand the story, on the actual flips it's a lot easier than this but it's better to practice on a hard one isn't? Good luck to the upcoming validation.
Just to make sure that incase if your your node  is not online always then node put on online for  sync at least 5 hours before next validation time and keep it online.  hours before validation I found it was slow in catching up. Good Luck

Ive been thinking about this. What would happen in the case of an attack on the network, or on the specific ips at the exact verification time? could an attacker cause most people not to get verified, causing themselves to be one of the only producers for the next cycle?

DDOS attack is not inexpensive. It would most possibly cost attacker more than he would gain.
On the other hand ddos protection is about 1$ per month at vps provider, in case someone experience this kind of attack.

Yes that is correct, also you can go to practise flip solving here:
https://flips.idena.io/?pass=idena.io
You can enter whatever in the first field, it does not matter.

Take a look at these youtube videos to see real validation recorded by our members:

Developeres mentioned that they think that the network without sharding will be able to pull 8-10k nodes.

As far as I can see, the production of blocks was going fairly well.
On the link below you can see the last blocks of the epoch 51. It shows the validation was progressing and how the network worked.
https://scan.idena.io/epoch/51#blocks

Only hickup that I saw was this:

At that point in long session, network formed committee of nodes that were problematic, probbably low hardware resources, hogged ram or low powered cpu that were not able to produce 3 blocks.
Before that we see around 150 transactions per block. After that network got to a node with good hardware, and it produced block with 588 transactions.

VPS's with 1GB of ram are barely making it through. If you restart your node on VPS, you will clear it's hogged memory and it will perform perfect. But if you let it run for 10 days or so without restart, it will hog up ram memory, continue to use swap(virtual memory) and will start performing slowly and even posibbly go out of sync.
https://github.com/idena-network/idena-go/issues/514
Some optimisations if possible regarding this are needed if we want to stay in the 1GB ram requirements.

Judging by the block sizes during validation, we had that block with 588tx that was near 230KB. Block max is 300KB currently.
Untill we start seeing more of these bigger blocks we are not nearing network maximum.

We saw a growth of +300 in number and it came with good news and price increase, which is great. I'm sure we would have more validated identities if new people could understand that they can't sync their node few hours before validation, from VPS, they probably can, but from home enviroment, higly unlikely.

Other problem that is happening in high number is so called "Late subbmision" where you do the validation and submit on time, but something is not right and your answers are not submitted on time for short session. I have never experienced this during my validations. So it's not random bug, I think that it happens in two cases:
1. You run node+client in home enviroment and have poor connection/router that causes node to go out of sync, even if your client does not show you these small time periods when your node is not in sync. Or your local PC time is not synced, check on www.time.is
2. You run node at 1GB VPS but you have not restarted it for a long time, ram hogged, node out of sync. Also if node is ok and your time at local pc is out of sync, that can also be an isuue.

So, now, we have:
- "Late sync" people (wasted invites)
- "I forgot" people (killed newbies)
- "Late subbmision" people (bug)

Make sure you have decent hardware. If you run your node at home, run it with lowpower and profile=server. Make sure you restart node, 1 day before validation if you run on 1GB vps. Make sure your time is synced.

Video that shows how to run node on windows with lowpower and profile=server options that will cause your node to make less connections and put less strain on your probable low-end home router.

Same here, I really like qTrade and used HotBit from time to time, but if you say is 10 DNA the withdrawal fee, no thanks. I wanted to switch to HotBit due to higher volume, but since you say is also fake, I'll stick to qTrade.

The only good thing about HotBit is the CMC listing, other advantages for Idena, I don't see.
Can't state that it's fake volume Cheesy, but more exposure is great, as well CMC.

Hotbit hosted AMA on their Telegram, it was wild, lots of users had many questions, i guess over 300 questions were asked.

Fresh info:
Plans: Currently we are developing the oracle voting mechanism. It will be available in Q4 2020. We are also working on predefined smart contracts to enable community-driven funding, prediction markets, dispute resolutions, paid votings, paid polls, games, etc
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: August 12, 2020, 11:47:14 AM
I still preffer and recommend qTrade over hotbit. Hotbit withdraw fee is 10 iDNA, while on qTrade is 1 iDNA.

Also Idena is on CMC, great news.

Date is 2020-08-12 idena is ranked 2471 on CMC
price is 13c

Next validtion should be wild. And still there is lot of work to develop surrounding ecosystem.

Take a few minutes to read new article on medium. What are your thoughts?

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: August 01, 2020, 09:31:23 PM
after a while, number of validated identities is down, it is not much, from 2710 to 2677, but that is a stop for continuous up-trend, that was struck only by block error five epoch's ago
what do you think is a reason, just summer vacation period or there is more to it?

I beleive that biggest stimuli for user growth would be bigger price. It's not the same now when daily mining reward is under a dollar compared to biggest user growth when people practically begged for invites, then daily mining reward was 4.5 dollars. As simple as that.

Take a look at a detailed graph explaining who failed the most:
https://idena.today/images/matrix/matrix-51.svg

Mostly newbies that either forget about validation or they are not motivated to continue.
Candidates who most likely fail to setup stable Idena node, either late sync or bad internet connection/router.

What kind of invitation code are we talking about? how can i find out more?

Invitation code is exactly the thing that it's name suggest. It is a code, like a password that you can receive from people that are allready part of Idena network. Verified Idena members can issue a code and invite new people into the network. You need invitation code so you can participate in next Idena validation. More about invitation codes and how to get them.

I've been looking on to this project for quite some time but besides from trading it is there any use of its token?

Also it's hard to ask for an invitation from the users and some are selling it. Is there a chance that you would open a competition and you'll will reward participants an invitation so they can mine through their wallets?

Right now, no. We are still early into the project. Take a look here to read and learn more

So the project is alive and everything is all right?
Roadmap updated?
I was already upset, I thought it was abandoned.

If you have 15 minutes and are interested, you can read latest Ask Me Anything session with developers so you can be informed about current state of development.

For the people who are not on Telegram
https://t.me/IdenaAnnouncements/507

Announcing the second AMA (Ask-Me-Anything) that will be hosted in Idena’s official Telegram chat https://t.me/IdenaNetworkPublic.

The Q&A session will take place on Wednesday July 15, 2020, at 13:30 UTC.

Same format as last time pulling the questions from https://app.sli.do/event/trhtad0b/live/questions

During the first 40 minutes of the AMA the Idena team will be answering questions collected in advance with only moderators and the team being allowed to send messages in the chat.

In the second part of the session the Idena community will have an opportunity to leave their comments and questions in the chat in a slow mode for the Idena team to answer (~20min).

Hi, one problem that can cause late submission is: bad time sync on os where node and client run, other, node went out od sync and did not submit data in time.
Node and client logs would say more about what happened.

Well I also thought the node went ut of sync but when I checked the explorer i saw the answers were sent in time, see below:

Oooff... well there is a problem with what's shown on that picture  Huh

Here is example of successfull validation transactions

You can see that you are missing "Short session answers" transaction. So your client/node did not send answers for short session at all.
So I can use my new catchphrases here "Logs, or it did not happen" or "Send logs or forrever be silent"  Lips sealed

I agree that the software is buggy and the team is not doing the best management of how things work on Idena, but it is what it is. If you like it you stay, if not, you are free to go. Nobody is forcing anyone to stay around. I don't like many things either, but are few things I like and I choose to stay.

BTW anyone knows how this happened?

This is so pathetic, while you guys get all the rewards from all the invitations you send out.

USE YOUR DEV FUNDS (50% OF SUPPLY) TO FUND DEVELOPMENT NOT THE INVITATION REWARDS
STOP STEALING FROM FLIP CREATORS AND THOSE USERS WHO ISSUE INVITATIONS

Unfortunatly you are not well informed.

Rewards from the invitations they send, goes to members who spend their time teaching newcomers in Telegram Flip School.

Other funds from invitation have gone to reward community made projects:

Idena Ethereum Relay challenge
The $5k prize of this challenge goes to @henryfour

Sign-In with Idena challenge

First prize ($1.5k)
Idena Discord auth bot — a free Discord bot that links Idena identities with matching Discord roles

Second prize ($1k)
idenary.com — a game and art project built upon Idena

Third prizes ($500 each)
idena.vote — a customized polls website
idenapoll.com — a polling website guaranteeing the uniqueness of each vote and creating sybil-resistant polls
fairdrop.io — airdrops with the fairness they were supposed to have

Read more here:

And no one is stealing anything, reported are reported for a reason and potential dna rewards are burned.
