My take is, we need something to allow an average customer on the block to verify their identity using internet DNS system. That can be done by binding ur name, credentials etc. to IPV6 address. Thoughts? Big part of what makes Idena great in my opinion is verification without any form of KYC. Also, there is other project which is maybe closer to what you are proposing with IP's, nyzo.io

Guys, I have found some great tool to test your internet connection. Not speed, but router/connection capability.http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest?httpsok=0If your connection is graded A or B it is great and you can run your node and Desktop App for validation. If it's graded below, maybe you are on wifi, try lan cable, if it still sucks, you MUST use Web App for validation.

Now you can give your candidate an invitation code and tell him to try out Test Validation using link when he gets in Web App My Idena page After he finishes it, he can show you his certificate If he does not show it, you can terminate invitation and repeat the process

Talking about eco friendly mining and low power PC's that can support running Idena node, in Discord, we ended up with Comunity dev @bus running node + web app on his mobile phone. Full node sync lasted 90 minutes! And what's even sillier, he succeeded on running node on his Galaxy Watch Node + Web App on mobile phone Node on Galaxy Watch

Uh, when I joined, validations were 5 days apart, there were no exchanges so DNA, yes DNA, traded OTC in the discord for 125 sats which was $0,01 at that time. So $0,01 to $0,30 that was 30x. But I think that this is still early on. I'm interested in ads and how will they drive additional burning of iDNA and how will that reflect on future price.

What are the minimum requirements for computer performance?
For running your own node, 4GB ram, i3 cpu or newer celeron is recommended. In some cases weak router can cause problems. If that happens, slow sync or your internet starts working bad, you can use Web App to do validation. Eventualy you can run node on vps.

@realRioda By the way, I asked some questions on the Telegram channel, but has a lack of responses and I am still curious, so let me state it here.
When the mining process is on, even if you use the low-power profile, does the bandwidth limitation is removed? So the node still maximalizing the network bandwidth even it is on the lowpower mode.
Other things, the node will be penalized if it is inactive for around 1 hour. I wonder what if some user "cheated" by limiting the node bandwidth manually, like rate-limiting the network bandwidth on the router or with an application, how does the protocol/app will behave? does at some occurrences it will get penalized or somethings?
Difference between regular and low power mode is in maximum number of peers that your node can connect to. Number changed over time so I'm not sure what is current number, like for regular is 12 peers, and for low power, half so 6. Also I have experienced that from home router enviroment, there is always lower peer count (in regular mode), compared to when node is out in the open like on VPS with open ports. Yes I heard some people who limited idena node bandwidth during mining period so their internet can be under less load and it worked. But it was long ago and there were many node version changes and protocol updates since then so I can't say anything for certain. Only way would be for you to test it out and see how will node act. As I see from my vultr VPS stats it uses 350 kbps both for up and down. That is in regular mode. I do not recomend limiting node bandwith on validation day

I have two invite codes that can be used to start IDENA as a miner by bypassing the validation stage. ~snip
Is there really such a thing? AFAIK, passing validation is a prerequisite to be able to mine. ~snip I would say it's a typo, "by bypassing validation" -> "by passing validation" No bypass possible

Hmm, in my opinion, it's worth a shoot. At least if its free to replace old router by ISP. In few cases that solved the issue for some of my friends.
Hello since its 24 hours to validation and i tried to activate your invite but it says its missing. What could be wrong.., I am using web based version on the first validation. I have forwarded invitation from other member, but since you did not activate it for so long i guess he found another candidate. I will send you new one in PM, please activate it

Vercel seems to block some users from certain regions, especially SEA. This is a big problem, considering that many IDENA users from Indonesia have difficulty when validation via the Web. Don't the team and developers want to make changes in the next validation session?
I saw that one dev from indo group made his own web app and explorer hosting and people are using that? Core team said they are trying to solve blocking of their hosting, let's hope it's solved before next validation

4 days passed and my syncing are not yet done, my PC keeps hanging and my internet keeps disconnecting. it only happens during patching idena wallet.
Is there any way to download a blockchain and just paste it so i can activate the invite?
If that's the case it means your router can't handle idena node connections. Even if you would download blockchain and you can do it over idena.site - Tools - Fast sync, your connection would fail you during validation and it woulf be all for nothing. I suggest in that case to make idena account and use idena Web App, app.idena.io There you can validate on public nodes for free the first time. After you see how it works and when you pass, you can get 2 months free vps to run your node there and get mining rewards.

This is looking good. Is there any link to the post/article of this DeID Summit? Thanks!
I didn't find any articles, I suppose that the summit was held in this audio conference form.

Ive read that it requires invitation to join idena network, where is the best place to get an invite? is it free or we need to pay for each invites? If anyone want's to share an invite and guide a newbie like me, lets connect on telegram and i will make sure to make it worth your time.
You can ask for invitation on Idena Telegram or Discord, even on Twitter. You have links for each platform on the bottom of idena.io page. Invitations are FREE. You can contact me on Telegram @realRioda
