1  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: January 15, 2019, 03:42:20 PM
Hey TheQuin and Wetsuit, is something like this going to effect the operation of freebitco.in in the near future? I'm a U.S. user and so are most of my referrals.

Hey Wetsuit, Myfe.

I learned a lesson today, and I'm hoping that you might consider implementing a new feature or perhaps change the text in a portion of Freebitco.in so maybe others won't have to deal with what I'm currently dealing with.

The lesson I learned is that the auto-payment option withdraws your entire balance of bitcoin from freebitco.in. I read that the minimum was 30,000 satoshis. Seeing no place to enter a withdrawal amount, I assumed 30,000 satoshis was going to be withdrawn from my account. Hence the situation I am in. My plan was to try a new online wallet, and fund this wallet with an automatic withdrawal of 30,000 satoshis. Now the balance is pending confirmation to this new, untested, wallet.

So understandably, I'm nervous. Hopefully this new wallet functions as it should and I can transfer my bitcoin back to freebitco.in soon. I'm fully aware that this is not the fault of Freebitco.in, but maybe either a user-specified amount can be entered under the auto-withdrawal tab? Or perhaps a warning in that tab that explains your full balance if over 30,000 satoshis gets withdrawn?

Thank you for your consideration.

4  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Making a living off of bitcoin faucets, is it actually possible? on: July 24, 2017, 05:22:25 PM
There are only 2 real ways to make what anyone would regard as "A living" off of bitcoin faucets. 1 is through referrals. Realize however, that you're basically getting other people to waste their time so you don't have to. Eventually they'll grow tired of it and move on to another faucet that pays slightly better. So spam your referral link everywhere you go in hopes that a few random people who haven't figured out that faucets are a waste of time. You can work a job you loathe for an hour and make more than what visiting faucets for a day can earn you.

The second way is to run your own faucet. Guaranteed page views, advertisers love that, but you have to be giving away enough bitcoin or have some gimmick that really makes people consider your faucet worth visiting over and over. Otherwise the ad revenue dries up, you have to front even more of your own money to fill the faucet, and you've stopped making a living. The worst part is, if you can't pay people who've earned any significant amount of satoshis from your faucet, you get listed as a scammer. Then you can't really try this again unless you're reaching a new audience that wasn't aware of your prior faucets.

My I.P. Address has been blacklisted.

Thanks for the satoshis while it lasted. :p
6  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: BTC SCAMS on: July 23, 2017, 05:32:02 PM
This is a nice start, but I feel like this list could be better maintained, or have some kind of a percentage rating.

For instance, if a site was paying daily, but suddenly slowed down its payments, is it a scam? If a site isn't paying everyone, but is still paying some people verifiably, is it a scam? If a site is a ponzi, and it's paying people but will likely eventually fall prey to the collapse that ponzis tend to have happen, is it a scam from the beginning or is it a scam after it slows down it's payments?

I realize this is in the microearnings thread so maybe ponzis don't belong here, but one person not getting their payment as expected really shouldn't a scam label deserve.
7  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: ★ ClaimWithMe ★ Most Paying Faucet Of All Times ☆ 13,890sat/min ☆ Free Bitcoins! on: July 20, 2017, 06:28:41 PM
My biggest gripe with claimwith.me, was not that it looked scammy. It is not that right now it seems almost 100% to be a scam. It is not that I actually invested a small amount and cannot currently withdraw, hence actually falling victim to the scam.

My biggest gripe is that the admin gave almost no notice to changing the rule concerning withdrawing your claimed satoshis without having to purchase a planet. Just think, if a site admin is willing to change the terms on the fly, and post pics of the terms and conditions and ask you to not use the site if you disagree as an answer to any naysaying about the site, then why would the admin say anything when they take your money and run?

Would it be nice to get my money back? Sure. You know what would be nicer though? If the admin of a site actually wanted their site to stick around. A working service tends to make more money over time then a quick buck can. But I guess some people just don't think this way.

All these proofs of payment are wonderful. But in the end it does nothing to bolster my confidence in investing with Claimwithme.

Can we get payment proof from more people who have bought a planet and has claimed?

Hey Myfe or Wetsuit, is there anywhere on the site that tells you how many tickets and reward points your referrals have earned you like the earned BTC commission is listed? If not, can this be implemented? Also, I know that on desktop/laptop browsers your total BTC balance shows up on the top right, but I've noticed in mobile browsers for me to see my current balance I have to hit the (≡) on the top right, which pulls down the menu of all freebitco.in's features, and my balance is displayed on the bottom of this menu. Can my reward point balance and or lottery ticket balance also be displayed? Mock-ups for clarity's sake below (desktop then android). Thanks for a great site!

Myfe, I had an unfortunate issue with my 2FA device getting wiped. Other sites have a lengthy but entirely doable process of removing a 2FA code from an account. I'm hoping Freebitco has something similar or I can somehow prove I am the owner of that account. Because I'm locked out.

An email was sent today (4/28) regarding this matter as well. Help?

Edit: PM sent.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Embrace ALL Cryptocurrencies Not Just Bitcoin on: May 07, 2015, 06:00:56 AM
What does the title have to do with the article?

I'll take a stab at it.

Embrace cryptocurrency to wrestle control of your money away from the thugs of the Government, who by legal authority can rob you of your cold hard cash.

This thread isn't about giving altcoins a chance. This thread is about promoting cryptocurrency in general as a way to do the above.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Embrace ALL Cryptocurrencies Not Just Bitcoin on: May 07, 2015, 04:27:40 AM
Stories like these go to show that as much as bitcoin may be viewed as a route for drug dealers to peddle their wares, the DEA still has carte blanche to take stacks of good ol' USD as they see fit.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never again be priced over $300. on: May 07, 2015, 01:37:45 AM
Ben,

all one needs to see the price of Bitcoin raise over $300 is any of the unforeseen events that have occurred over the past 5~ years that have caused the price to raise.

- Increased use.
- Buyers seeing an opportunity.
- Economies of nations crumbling, and the ensuing panic in its citizens to convert their currency from one in decline to one they see as more solid, or best allow them to retain control.

Granted, such drastic swings in the price of bitcoin wont be repeated as it has been tempered due to it's greater connection with fiat currencies through exchanges, bank-backed ventures, and greater acceptance by merchants. A swing of $100 is entirely possible though, especially in the face of unforeseen events.

Your confidence in Bitcoin remaining below $300 is based on your knowledge/experience of a system that is as relatively stable as it was when you made the original post. You can make likely predictions as to what will happen tomorrow, but even if you are 99% sure, you still can't be sure. One fly in the ointment is all it takes.

Send bitcoin to a blackhole wallet no one can access. Now there is less bitcoin in existence. More demand. Price skyrockets.

Ebay. Buy bitcoin, pay with paypal.

Ebay. Sell bitcoin, get paid with paypal.

I'm sorry if my post is too short..

That is really risky because buyer can reject the transaction when he receives bitcoin and you end without money and without bitcoins

Also, there is nothing about protecting yourself from reversals.

It is also a simple way to buy btc using paypal. Wink

Tetris. The blockchain is like a recorded game of Tetris that you can visit at any point in it's past, that is continuously being played by multiple computers at the same time.
