21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: BlockMunch.Club - BTC & LTC Payments! LiteCoinCash mininig now! on: February 27, 2018, 08:37:46 PM
Nihilo appears to have jumped chain on Neoscrypt. Neoscrypt mining is currently a black hole of future orphans.

5+ hours of blackhole mining so far on Neoscrypt. Orphan blocks are now apparently headed to the "Exchange" (though they likely won't be respected). Someone needs to disable this coin or get us back on the proper chain. I believe this is the second time this has happened in a week, so I'd advise disabling the coin for now.

Is there a Discord channel set up for Blockmunch? Not sure if this is the right place for emergency fix requests.

Thanks we have disabled the coin and will not be enableing it back.  This is the second time the coin jumped chains.

Here is our discord link for emergency requests.

Much obliged, thanks. Bad news is I missed that Innova block that someone hit 30 mins ago as I was gunshy about getting back on Neoscrypt. We need a nice run of 4 or 5 of those INN blocks in the next hour, now I'm back on Neoscrypt, and that will make me feel better. =)

Is scryptn mining enabled for Garlicoin, as per the web site display? Port 4333 doesn't respond for me.

Hello,

Please try again.  We are now able to connect.

Thanks,

I can connect but both ccminer variants I've tried (palgin bitcore + tpruvot) that support scrypt:N just come back with 100% rejected shares. Not sure if I'm missing some configuration, but it doesn't appear to work.

good design. I hope you will add more neoscypt pools. TUN, DSR etc...

Thank you, criticism and compliments mean the world to us. Well be looking into adding more coins soon. If anyone has specific coins they would like to see on the pool please hit us up with a PM or just post here.

Thanks guys and see ya at the pool!

How about Onex (ONEX), Sigil (SGL) or Halcyon (HAL)? These are all relatively low diff coins that have reasonable profitability.

Good news everyone Cool

Excavator should now work as expected on our pool. Need some more peeps to hop on and try it out to fully confirm.

Nicehash ports have been added for the pool

FTC port = 3343
ORB port = 3345
PXC port = 3344

Thanks again guys and see ya at the pool!

I can confirm Excavator 1.4.4.a works for me now on LSM...vardiff is bit slow to kick in (1300+ shares submitted before the default was replaced with a higher one), but it eventually settled in nicely. 30 mins of mining now (and a few blocks found!) and still ticking away.

Nice work! I'll add you guys back into rotation for my rig.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for zencash pools with a fee lower than 1% on: February 14, 2018, 08:53:31 PM
Hello everyone,

Mining zencash is quite a problem because most of the miners are in suprnova and that's quite problematic with the high fees over the long run.
Can you suggest some other zencash pools with a decent fee and a decent hashrate?

Try zhash.pro relaunched ZenCash pool (https://zen.zhash.pro/). 0.5% fee and they have some decent hashrate.

Thanks for the tests.

The thing is Excavator is by far the fastest while doing Neoscrypt, so I can't use anything but that. And I have no issues with Excavator on AHashpool, Altmier, Zpool and MPH.

So there is something to be sorted out between the the communications between your Server and Excavator.

Same here. Excavator gives me a 20%+ increase in actual hashrate on other pools (Zerg, AHashpool, Zpool, unimining.net, MPH and many others), so they must have done something to make their stratum "compatible", perhaps specific to NiceHash (since that is what excavator is designed for).

Not sure if the 1.4.4a release changed anything, but I can't afford to use the slower clients you mentioned.

Wow pinpins...congrats on the early days of the relaunched site. Response from other miners seems huge; I've haven't seen profit levels from neoscrypt mining like since since the early days and you've got way more overall hashrate now. Way more coins, quick response to coins off chain...just fantastic work man; like a phoenix rising from the ashes! And I'm sure I'm not alone saying I am more than happy to pay the 0.5% fee to help out with the recovery efforts. I honestly think you should keep the very nominal fees around to help out with ongoing expenses, perhaps to replace any hair you may have lost during the stress of the last few weeks. =)

Glad to be back mining on Zerg again!

So far i'm noticing acceptable earnings on switching between all listed algos.
Would you recommend cutting it down to just neo, as it doesnt seem to be hitting it often.

I am keeping it simple and sticking with one algorithm, as switching really only works if you catch spikes on exchange rates (which I've found is rare). There is a considerable volume (1 GH/s+) on neoscrypt right now, so we're hitting a lot of the higher difficulty coins which obviously have a decent return. I've dabbled with xevan which is also decent, but for strict GPU mining I don't think you can do better than sticking with neoscrypt right now.

Best advice is to try measuring aggregate profit using switching programs vs. sticking with neoscrypt using test runs of at least 24 hours. Stick with what works for you and your rig.

And i just noticed, that it happens precise when the KlausT Ccminer closing

There are known issues with more recent versions of KlausT causing crashes on exit. Try 8.20, if you aren't already, but this is likely related to that.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NEOSCRYPT][PXC][ORB][FTC] LightSpeedMining.com - Blockfinder Bounties on: February 10, 2018, 09:37:47 PM
Tried with Palgin-Neoscrypt on PXC and just hit a wall of "long division or modulo by zero" errors after about 15 minutes that I've never seen before, so still something funky going on.

I'm back to KlausT for now, as that seems the most resilient/compatible (though slowest of the 3).
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NEOSCRYPT][PXC][ORB][FTC] LightSpeedMining.com - Blockfinder Bounties on: February 10, 2018, 09:34:35 AM
Having some challenges getting Excavator (nicehash) Neoscrypt client to run against either the PXC or ORB stratum...it begins to fail about around 1000 shares in endlessly complaining about an "invalid job id". I've had to downgrade to Palgin/KlausT Neoscrypt client for now, but I haven't had a similar problem mining PXC/ORB elsewhere with Excavator. No OC involved; vanilla settings on all GPUs and this is a well-tested rig.

Anything "special" about the stratum that could be causing this? I do notice the starting vardiff is quite low and slow to adjust, causing a large volume of shares to be submitted for the first 10 minutes or so of mining.

FYI, SPK for Neoscrypt seems to have gone off the blockchain rails and is showing unreasonable profit.

Any chance of adding the ability to use the "mc=XXX" directive to the password that will allow a miner to control which coin within an algorithm his hashrate is directed to?

On lower hashrate pools, sometimes the most profitable coin has too high a difficulty to be reasonable (e.g. Solaris vs Vsync in xevan), so I'd prefer my mining efforts to be directed to something I'm more likely to have success with.

GOA appears to be working on split blockchain as difficulty and network hash rate is incorrect.

Yes, first drop in green line is when I prevent wrong earnings to convert to balance, managed to remove them.

Second adjustment I did just now was to fix amount which managed to transform to balance.

If you have a look at graph you had rapid grow in pending(green) and the same rapid grow after 8 hurs in balance(blue) copying pattern of growth.

So that rapid growth in balance (blue) should not be happening because of SPARK fork.... And this is what I have adjusted just now. Given that many of you recieved payments for this earlier- you will see minus at some balances.
Whoa, stop right there. We are using your pool, your software, if a fork happened that is at your expense. Please credit back my earnings...we still have to pay for our electricity whilst you had us mining rubbish.
Please re-imburse withing 24 hours.

This is your lesson to learn, not ours.
J

Context is important here: you are mining on a new pool being managed by a single guy who is making 0% fees. He is paying for the IT behind the pool from his own pocket and essentially offering you a free proxy to mine cooperatively. I would understand your point of view if this were an established large pool making piles of $ for it's owner, but that is just not the case. Pinpins is busting his ass to create his own custom pool for us and trying to cater to the new users as best he can. This includes adding low difficulty and new coins that are prone to "misbehaving".

In the case above, you were paid with BTC that you didn't actually earn and likely came out of his own pocket. He is using the available technology to predict, as best he can, what you will eventually get paid for mining a coin. Until those coins or exchanged BTC end up in the pool coffers it isn't real and, as we've seen over the last few weeks, there is a lot that can go wrong. Altcoins can be fickle beasts.

There are bound to be growing pains associated with new pools; if you are worried about wasted hashrates for a single day, stick to the giant established pools who will happily take 1-2% off the top of your earnings and won't be as flexible with pool structure. I prefer the small pool "feel" and ability to directly mine a coin directly or not via his custom "mc=" flag, which is rare.

I'm happily earning myself back out of the "BTC red" right now and will continue mining here because of the tireless effort Pinpins is putting in to try to make his site user-friendly (does this guy ever sleep?).

FYI, for those ramping up efforts on the Neoscrypt coins on Zergpool, a new Excavator was released a few days ago (1.4.2a). Speed improvements on Neoscrypt specifically are huge (i.e. 15% jump on hashrate for my 1070/1080Ti cards from 1.4.1a).

https://github.com/nicehash/excavator/releases
I dislike it wholeheartedly, and the speeds on 1080 Ti are pretty much same as hsrminer or latest KlausT. 1350 or so, hsrminer shows more (and mostly delivers).

I've benchmarked all three (KlausT 8.19/HSRMiner/Excavator 1.4.2a) over minimum 1 hour runs. KlausT is more reliable that HSRMiner for pool-reported hashrate, but a bit slower. HSRMiner looks good on console, but hashrate on pool is quite varied and starts to slide over time: this is well-known issue discussed on Palgin's page. Excavator is definitely the fastest, albeit the config file for it is clumsy and the console output is missing some detail; beggars can't be choosers, though.

Excavator 1.4.2a (neoscrypt) benchmarks [Win 10-x64, NVidia 390.65 drivers]:

1080Ti (+110 pwr, +125 cpu, +250 mem) gets 1.998 MH/s. Previous version (1.4.1a) got me 1.78 MH/s.
1070 (no OC) gets 1.128 MH/s.

Confirmed by 24 hour runs to get pool version of reported hashrates.
