1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]  Bitcurrency on: August 27, 2015, 10:19:43 AM
I suggest people start PM'ng people in the thread early, that have not been talking as of late in this thread. There's quite a few people/addresses with 140 days plus with lots of chunks of coins that will be ready to stake. Just make sure they upgrade to the latest version, and get the node list.

My time with Bitcurrency is over, farewell. And thanks zeded for not letting Whistlecoin fade away. Good luck with those 501 confirms Smiley

On the node list, I finally moved from the 1.0.0 to the list. But a new one appeared on the 1.0.0 list, this is not good, from my experience you might not be able to stake.

Please everyone get on the newest version found on the OP, and start staking. You'll need the nodelist for the same version, it stands at 7 nodes now, but alas I can only keep the one connection.

Are people's firewalls stopping me from having more connections?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]  Bitcurrency on: August 26, 2015, 11:00:33 AM
I was using the last version sporadically trying to get two small coin chunks to stake, but they never would. I was keeping one connection. Now I changed to the latest version, and after a while it got one connection again. I undid the coin reserve, and with the new version, I might have started the coin back up for three more transactions, then I'm dead in the water.

Someone needs to get Yobit to upgrade, then we should be in business again, unless it went off on it's own blockchain somehow.

Before 8pm UTC on Monday all miners had an offline issue followed by sporadic mining. Have others noticed this? I wonder what the issue is this time.

@brianloene, LOL. If you are actually meaning you left whistlecoins around not paying attention to anything, whom can you blame but yourself?
6  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (or so we thought) on: July 14, 2015, 09:44:58 AM
I got a couple payouts on July 5th--Both for pretty old difficulties. The pool slowed down to 0.48 PH, and now just got back to 1.56 PH solely really only due to lobogil rentals at nicehash/westhash when it's cheap enough there to rent. I hoping there's lots of luck to come for BAN, so things could be caught up some more.

Someone has to be working on a 20nm chips by now, that could be a game changer. It appears Lee is still hosting 1 TH Coincraft A1 machines, wondering how much space there's left, and how well the power, internet, and air exchange in the building can handle more miners.

@nanospeed, after you play once, click on the refer link on the top of the page. That will show you what you earned from them. If they don't play, you don't earn.

@dhavin, Are you going to be able to refill the coffers, and we are just waiting on advertising revenue to be paid or should we expect the worst?
9  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists hate Religion ? on: June 04, 2015, 02:29:59 AM
There doesn't have to be a god, there's no use for a god. We could all be in a multiverse, in a dimension that might not stay stable for all of time. But if your idea of god is the result of an earlier civilization that learned much more than us at this point, why would you feel the need to worship their figurehead? You can clearly see there's no works of any god in this world. No real magic can be seen. So why are people so stupid to need to latch on to a religion? Hate the stupid people that have blind faith, because that's all it can ever be. At least until the aliens come and say they are our god.

If there is a god, why did they mess up so badly in biology? Instead of coming up with the best solutions, each descendant on the tree of life had to work with what was living before them. We in essence are remolded fish. If religions thought the truth, no one would believe in a higher being. That's why we should not like religions, on top of of the evil they add to the world.

Last update on the miner monitor has stalled and all machines are limping with 100G or less hash. What is going on?

Time to pick up coins dirt cheap. They won't last long at this low price when we hear plans.
12  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists hate Religion ? on: May 28, 2015, 03:58:59 PM
because they have their own religion..
i think they love to be free..they want every thing in their own way..and from my point of view it is best thing because all religions teach only one thing that is humanity...

Wow! This sounds just like many atheists. What a religion atheism is!

Atheism, in all it's forms, is all I can think of for what teaches humanity. No modern religion, with it's roots in the middle east, shows that all people are equal in life and death no matter what they might believe. This is especially true for all Christians, Jews, and Muslims.

We removed them. The bottom line is that for the irritation they just weren't providing the right experience or revenue. We'll have to figure out another way.

According to the source of the page, the minimum paying ad you were willing to popup was 0.000000, I think. All I know it was all zeros. So I have to wonder if there's good paying popups that are worth all the trouble and frustration they provide to people, even more so on mobile devices.

A common practice by some people is to have ads that only pay per click, and then encourage people to click ads. People have no idea if your ads are per impression or per click or both. Some people would be willing to help and click an ad to load a page when they wanted to.

I like this, are you going to keep it up? By the title and first post usage, I'm thinking you are going to make a new thread for each week. I hope not, as I will not be able to find it then.

Keep up the good work! Hopefully you can figure out a better format here so each two don't look so much together.

I can't remember even believing in god. The most I remember, if having to go to church and have time to think to know it was all meaningless. I came up with my concept of time there, and why there couldn't be a god, but I just couldn't ever tell my mother since she basically seemed to live for church. I think she enjoyed the people and singing in the choir the most. My youngest thoughts did always think god was the evil one, and the more you read the bible, you know this to be true. I wished the devil, Lucifer, or the light bringer was real, since they made sense. But alas, fairytales with magic and superpowers don't exist here on earth currently. And who really knows, this planet could have been seeded by another civilization. I thought the story "Jupiter Ascending" was pretty brilliant. I like to sit back and watch Supernatural, and think how cool it would be if that kind of stuff were real. But still, my life is my own, no higher being to worship for my life, and that keeps me happy.

I hate that people waste money on religion. Hate that tidings is a tax deduction, when most churches do not preform charity with even 50% of the funds taken in. If a person has to have something higher to believe in, to me, they obviously are missing something in their life. I feel pity for those that believe, but they don't want this pity, so I offer to insult them. Just doing my part to try to make this a better world. I don't even blame god for losing my mother when I was 24 due to Alzheimers. I just know there is no godly plan, and we should all be good people to one another and be good to this large rock, flying around our sun, around our galaxy, and out into the unknown universe, that we call home.
16  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase accounts are closed due to US Govt sanctions on: May 18, 2015, 09:57:38 AM
There are so many other places that the US has no reach. Why would someone in Iran use a US website to buy bitcoins?

Why even post here, it's not shocking, Coinbase is doing nothing wrong. I know the US want's too much control over the world, but it's not the people's fault, it's not the companies fault. Don't blame the people or the small companies.
17  Economy / Gambling / Re: sawdice the New Age of Dice - Let's play a game. on: May 18, 2015, 09:49:57 AM
I'm too disturbed by the entrance page, and the first post here. I don't know who you are targeting, but it is too intense and dark for me. When I see that, I get the opinion that I will lose all the money I put in. Surely other people must think the same. You need to find the goth kids in high school, they'll love it. Put signs outside Hot Topics?
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: A big crash this week! on: May 18, 2015, 09:41:38 AM
My favorite troll spot says it's not Wednesday, just who am I to believe? Why would someone even be on this forum calling it useless coins? So many questions just pile up. Do you know just how many people will buy in a big crash? It's what some people are waiting for including those that missed the Jan 15th(?) one. It seems to me, someone missed the boat, and they want cheap coins.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [KOBO] Kobocoin - A West African peer to peer micropayment system on: May 18, 2015, 09:35:36 AM
For iOS, maybe look at ƀread, it's on github at

Since the wallet stays on the phone, I think it's the best choice for bitcoin on iOS currently. Maybe you can make some magic happen and have an easier time with it than Android.
20  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BitAffNet] How we're the #1 Bitcoin Mining Pool In The World (proof inside) on: May 18, 2015, 09:24:26 AM
I've not been sitting on IRC to get a priority payment, but have other people got partial payment?

It wasn't even a lot owed, only over 0.2, and I got a payment over 0.05 against it. Not sure if was a full back payment of a certain difficulty or what happened. Maybe someone can shed some light on this.
